HOTD part 16: Something unexpected.
The wind blew at Takagi mansion while the sun went down announcing the night arrival.The survivors outside started having dinner while talking about their topics.
New cars entered the mansion from outside, bringing new survivors from to spend the night here.
Akashi was moving casually in the mansion hallway before he stopped by a window.
Akashi looked at the survivors having dinner and talking with each other.
Akashi looked at the dark sky.
"Also... I need to eat" Akashi said while feeling his empty stomach.
"...*Sigh*...Why I'm thinking about everything these days except food" Akashi said while walking away.
Akashi passed a few corners before he reached the stairs as he got down.
Suddenly Akashi felt something approaching him at a quick speed, so he summoned D4C arm before looking at something he didn't expect.
A white dog appeared from the door and rushed towards Akashi before circling around him.
"You are... " Akashi eyes got wide when he saw the dog.
"Woof-Woof" the dog stooped at Akashi feet and barked at him while pushing him somewhere.
"Danny where did you go... Danny!" A little girl appeared from the door while looking for something before spotting the dog.
However, when she raised her eyes and looked at Akashi, she froze in her place with a shocked face, but it soon turned into a joyful smile.
"BIG BROTHER!!!" The little girl screamed before running toward Akashi that frozen in his place.
"Big brother! I never thought I will see you again, Alice is so happy" Alice started to speak at a very face pace while looking at Akashi.
"Where did you go after you left Big brother? Alice asked people, but they said they never saw you" Alice started to speak while circling with Danny around Akashi.
Akashi stared at the nonstop speaking Alice while she circles around him with Danny as he had just one thought in his brain.
<... S**t> Akashi said the first thought in his brain from this scene before he shook his head.
"Are you okay Big brother?" Alice asked innocently.
"I'm okay... just a headache for a second" Akashi said while holding his head.
"Is it because of me?" Alice said with her head lowered.
"Don't do that" Akashi said instantly.
"Do what?" Alice raised her head and asked.
"That face... Stop it" Akashi said while looking at Alice.
" How did you arrive here?" Akashi said while being confused. In his thoughts, the father and daughter will not be able to survive on their own out there.
"Alice and daddy came with those guys" Alice said while pointing at one of the guards.
"You met the commander team?" Akashi said while Alice nodded before telling Akashi her story.
After Alice and her father left, they wandered for some time before they heard about Takagi mansion, so her father decided to go there but just using the Humvee isn't enough.
When Alice father was in a problem, they met a survivor team that offers to help them because they had the same goal.
So they crossed all the city until they met Souichiro team that took them into the mansion.
"I see... " Akashi said while looking at the happy Alice.
"Why are you smiling big brother?" Alice asked.
"Nothing... I was just thinking about something happy" Akashi said while stopping Danny that circling around him because he started to give him dizziness.
"Are you happy to see Alice again?" Alice said with a cheerful and happy expression.
"Yeah, yeah..." Akashi said before he heard a loud noise.
"I get it you're always right, mama!" A loud voice was heard from upstairs.
"You know everything and I have no opinion in saying anything, thank you for letting me know" The sound grows louder before Akashi heard a door got closed violently.
A pink twin tail hairstyle girl walked angrily from upstairs with tears in her eyes.
"What happens big brother?" Alice asked while being worried.
"Nothing important, you don't have to worry about it" Akashi smiled at Alice and said.
"Okay!" Alice said cheerfully, but Akashi noticed something.
Akashi looked upstairs to see two females talking with each other.
The first one was a woman with long purple hair and golden eyes wearing a red dress while talking to Saeko that was wearing a blue yukata.
"Good grief... " Akashi said while watching the two women talking before looking at Alice.
"Alice can you go back to your father?" Akashi said to Alice.
"But I didn't talk to big brother long enough" Alice said with a sad expression.
"We can talk at another time and I'm sure your father is worried about you" Akashi said with a smile.
"... Okay" when Alice heard about her father she answered even if she looked sad about it.
"...*Sigh*... Listen to me Alice" Akashi lowered his head while putting his hand on her head.
"You are a strong child I admit that... you didn't want to worry your father, even me" Akashi said while caressing Alice hair.
"Can I ask you something?" Akashi said while Alice nodded.
"I want you to smile, smile for the people around you when they are feeling sad because you will never know when just a smile can help someone" Akashi smiled at Alice.
"By doing that you will not only help your father Alice, even me... you smile can even help me Alice" Akashi smiled while standing up.
"Can you promise me that Alice?" Akashi said while Alice nodded seriously with a smile.
"Yeah, Alice promise Big brother!" Alice while showing a big smile.
"Thank you... Go to your father, he must be freaking out right now" Akashi said.
"Yes, let's go Danny, Goodbye big brother!" Alice said before running towards the door.
"Hey, Alice" Akashi said suddenly while Alice turned to look at him.
" I was really happy to see you again" Akashi said before turning around and leaving.
Alice froze in her place before happiness filled her face while running towards her father.
Akashi smiled for a moment, watching Alice leaving before his face returned to normal.
Walking upstairs, Akashi saw Saeko standing there alone looking at the outside from a window.
"Hey, violent woman" Akashi said while Saeko noticed him.
"Akashi?!" Saeko said with a surprised expression.
"It seems you kinda troubled by something?" Akashi smiled while moving closer.
"So... Do you still need a good talker?" Akashi said with his usual smile while Saeko got surprised again.
