Wedding Bells!!

In a blink of an eye, the wedding day has arrived! Everyone was cheerfully preparing for the wedding. Since both brides were pregnant, half the activities were reduced. Instead of having a full day wedding, they are only holding a chapel ceremony in a field full of flowers.

The weather was extremely good with just enough sunshine. Birds chirped merrily across the crystalline blue sky and marshmallow clouds. While the brides were getting ready in the brides room, Selina and Jessica were trying to contact Yi Wei to see where she was at this time.

"Did she answer your phone?" Selina asked, ending the call that was directed to Yi Wei's voicemail.

"No, it went to her voicemail. She couldn't have overslept on such an important day right?" Jessica tossed a piece of sour patch candy into her mouth as she continued dialing Yi Wei's number. This was the 20th time she called Yi Wei since half an hour ago, yet Yi Wei never picked up.

While Jessica continued dialing, Selina started spamming Yi Wei's social media. From her instagram, WeChat, Facebook messenger to her Line account. She even mentioned giving Yi Wei a huge red envelope if she picked up instantly. Oddly, they never received any responses from her.

Sighing, both of them shrugged with no other ways to contact her. "What else can we do? She isn't picking up her calls neither is she replying to our messages. ugh, so frustrating! Where could she be? Do you think she might have hooked up with some handsome dude and forgotten all about today?" Jessica scrunched her face from the sour lemon flavor candy she just stuffed into her mouth.

Selina sighed, "who knows? I just hope she gets here on time. The wedding is starting soon. I just hope she is alright on her end. I mean, today is a small private wedding anyway. So, it isn't too bad. She isn't the bridesmaid or maid of honors, so we are still good."

At the same time, in the brides dressing room, the makeup artist completed both Celinda and Kyla's bride's makeup look. The only problem was that the brides looks rather tired and sleepy. The artists were quite concerned about them smudging their eye makeup by accident, which would lead to a delay in their entrance for the wedding if that does happen.

Knock Knock

"Come in." The unexpected knocks startled Celinda and Kyla that their sleepiness practically disappeared.

"Wow! You two look so beautiful today!" Yi Wei smiled sweetly as she observed the brides.

"Eh? Yi Wei? Selina and Jess were both hunting down for you. All along, you were already here? I just got their message that you went missing on them. You didn't come just to compliment our makeup, did you?" Kyla noticed the suspicious smile on Yi Wei's face when she peeked her head into the room.

Furthermore, she was hiding behind the door and didn't walk into the room.

"Hahaha! Kyla, I have a surprise for you! You're so smart! Look who came to your wedding!!!" Yi Wei's sudden high pitched voice surprised both Celinda and Kyla. for the longest time they've known each other, she has never been this enthusiastic. Therefore, whoever she was introducing right now, must be a big shot of some sort.

Fixating their gaze at the door, they watched a man step into the room. "Oh my gosh!!! Zach?!!!!" Kyla stood up from her chair when she recognized the familiar face in front of her. She nearly rushed over to give him a hug after many years of not seeing him.

"Oh my!! How are you? I didn't think you'll actually fly back to attend my wedding! I never got a response from you, so I thought you aren't coming back!" Kyla was extremely excited at this point from seeing an old friend.

"Hahaha, how could I not come back for your wedding? I have to give you your wedding gift after all!" As Kyla gave him a quick hug, he also reciprocated her actions. He wrapped an arm around her and patted her back. "Congratulations, Kyla. You definitely chose the right man considering how he didn't let me down. After all, he is marrying you."

"Hehe, I know! I have such good taste! This young miss has both the intelligence and taste in men." Kyla placed her hands on her hips as she laughed out loud.

"Oh, wait. Right! How did you meet Yi Wei? You two knew each other?" Kyla pointed out the odd feeling from before.

"Yeah, we knew each other before I even met you. She used to be my neighbor before I moved. Hahaha! Could you believe it though? Yi Wei used to climb into my room to rest on my bed because she loved my mattress. I told her many times to quit doing that, but she refused. Anyway, she was the first to know I came back too. I actually came back a while ago." Zach confessed, rubbing the back of his nape.

When he talked about her past, Yi Wei reacted shyly and looked away. "Hmph! I was there only for your mattress! Who told you to buy such a great mattress? Not my fault I couldn't get a good night's sleep at my own house. So, I can only borrow yours." She stuck out her tongue like a child.

"Hahaha. Yes. Yes. My mattress is reserved for you. Mhmm." Zach pulled Yi Wei into his embrace and stroked her hair.

"Y..You ... You two!!! Since when??" Kyla couldn't believe what she was seeing. "No wonder you've been ditching us recently! You got a boyfriend!!! Everything makes so much sense now!" She nodded, smiling brightly at the couple.

"Not long. He came back two months ago and we always kept in touch through online. So, everything was just natural when he came back recently. I was planning to tell you this today since it is your wedding! Oh right! Didn't you say you have a wedding gift to give to Kyla? Give it to her now since we still have some time." Yi Wei suggested, pulling on his sleeve.

"Oh, I forgot about it. Here. Congratulations on your wedding! I was planning on giving you this when you get pregnant and give birth to the baby. But I didn't want your kids to know about their mother's past grades. So I'm giving you it today~" Zach held back his chuckle while waiting for Kyla to open the gift.

"Hmm? What is it?" Kyla's smile broadened when she grew closer to unwrapping the box. However, the second she pulled the lid off the box, her smile stiffened.
