You Call This A Suicide?

Michael sent an update to the group chat: @everyone Madam Wang is dead. According to an officer, she committed suicide.

Everyone who was reading the message in the chat replied with three dots. A minute after everyone read Michael's message, Jason sent another response asking him to request to see Madam Wang's corpse.

"Officer, I am requesting to see Madam Wang's corpse. Unless I see her corpse for myself, I will not believe that she is dead. Besides this reason, I am also a forensics pathologist. Here is my license." Michael dug out his thick cardholder, which held many licenses.

The officer who denied his request to visit Madam Wang earlier looked at Michael in complete shock. He couldn't believe the number of licenses Michael has in his wallet!!! Just how many years did he spend in school?

Michael appeared calm when he presented his license and ID. However, unknown to the officers present, these licenses were mostly fake. Since certain missions require specialized access, Michael created fake licenses that he thought would come in handy and kept them in his pocket.

After checking his identification proof, the officer shrugged and decided to let Michael inspect Madam Wang's corpse while they wait for their superior to give them further instructions.

"Here is the cell where she was staying at. There was a blackout for a few minutes before, so the surveillance didn't capture anything on camera. You can tell that she committed suicide from the way she looks." The officer who led Michael to Madam Wang's cell spoke as if he was a professional.

Once the cell was unlocked, Michael saw a pair of dangling feet. He looked up to the ceiling and found Madam Wang's horrid expression. It was obvious at this point that she was indeed dead. However, he did not agree with the officer's assumption of this being a suicide case.

Arching his left brow as he entered the room, he observed the entire cell. Michael turned around to face the officer, who stood by the cell door with crossed arms. With his left index finger pointing towards the corpse, he asked the officer boldly. "Officer, you are telling me this is a suicide?"

"Of course! Look! She is dangling from the ceiling with different strangulation marks on her neck." The officer answered confidently.

"Even a blind person could tell she died abnormally. If this was a suicide, why would her fingers be scrunched up like a cat's claw? Plus, the ceiling is rather high for someone at her height to even reach without the help of any tools. And where the heck did this rope come from? Everything was taken away from her the second she entered this cell."

Michael argued, looking extremely displeased with the officer's hasten conclusion of Madam Wang's death being a suicide. If he wasn't present, then the officers would have left it as a suicide in the report.

"Doesn't every prisoner look like this when they hang themselves? Have you watched any detective dramas or crime ones? They look like her! Besides, this isn't even my job to determine how she died. I am not a professional. What is your point in being harsh on me for?" The officer felt offended by Michael's attitude towards him. He rolled his eyes and leaned against the wall next to him as if he hadn't made a mistake.

Michael's lips curved upwards slightly, revealing a thoughtful grin. "Then how about I hang you up there and place a mirror on the wall? You can see for yourself whether you will end up looking like her while suffocating up there? How about it? It is not your job, yet you are the one who is in charge of writing up the report."

"If you report this as a suicide just to let your responsibility off the hook, then how is this not a serious matter? If you aren't a professional, then shut your mouth before claiming it as a suicide. Nobody will call you a mute if you don't speak up." Michael gave the officer a disdainful smile to the officer whose face lost its colors after hearing his words.

Michael searched around the cell for any evidence left behind. Unfortunately, the assassin was a professional. Therefore, he did not leave any evidence behind for anyone to trace. After giving Madam Wang a close look, Michael marked down everything that he saw from her corpse to share with the rest of the group.

As soon as another officer walked over to the cell to see how far along Michael was with checking Madam Wang's corpse, Michael declared it was time for him to leave. Since the officer also revealed that the paramedics are almost here, Michael used the excuse to wait for them at the hospital and left the police station.

Shortly after Michael left the police station, he sent details related to Madam Wang's death to the group chat. He also requested Jason to cut out a part of the surveillance cameras in case anyone decides to look for him. Jason complied with his request and quickly removed him from the surveillance cameras.

Meanwhile, near the back gate of the Clover villa, Lia securely placed a mask to cover her face. She received a message from Number 1 and noticed two figures approaching her vehicle. She quickly glanced at Grandpa Lun who was occupying the backseat, sleeping in peace.

Silently releasing a sigh, she got out of the vehicle and met up with Number 1 and Number 2.

"Boss! We failed the mission you gave us. Madam Wang died when we got there." Number 1 bowed respectfully to Lia as if he was awaiting their punishment.

Lia waved her hand. "Forget it. She wasn't important anyway. I just wanted to see if we could delay or stop her from dying. She's done enough deeds, so she deserved it at the end for teaming up with the wrong people. Since you two are here, help me carry this elderly man into this villa's backyard. Remember, be gentle and don't hurt him. One of you holds his torso and the other holds his legs."

Number 1 and Number 2 nodded as they carefully held Grandpa Lun and climbed over the wall. Since the Clover's villa was rather grand, security guards would take turns patrolling the villa to make sure there were no intruders.

Under Lia's instructions, Number 1 and Number 2 successfully snuck Grandpa Lun into the garden area of the villa and quickly exited without alerting any guards. Once their mission was completed, they returned to meet Lia by her vehicle.

"Boss, it is done. We placed the elderly man on the swinging bench in the garden." Number 1 reported back to Lia.

"Good. Then we-" Lia halted when she caught Antonio's figure staring at them from a distance. To be exact, he was walking towards them with an unpleasant expression on his face.
