Control.

Anzu stared heavily at Aizawa. Her whole body was on fire. Each nerve feeling like it was being repetitively pricked. She couldn't keep this up for much longer. Aizawa looked tired too, at least more than usual.

"Again! You need to get stronger!" He yelled at her, bracing for another shot. She forced herself up, locking her buckling knees. She ripped her eye open again, seeing through nothing but the tiny white symbol in the center of the black lens. She focused and she focused on his right arm, but to no avail. It was taken from her and she fell to her knees, gasping for air. Her eye throbbed and for some reason blood still poured from it. It The entire left side of her face looked like it had been painted crimson.

"One more time! Come on!" He urged, helping her to her feet. She grit her teeth and stood up. Every muscle in her body was failing her. She ripped her eye open once more, but Aizawa didn't get the chance to erase it, she closed is as soon as it was opened.

"I'll have to try again tomorrow." She said, wiping away the blood and sweat. She refused to say she would quit, or she can't. She was stronger than this! She knew it. The fact that it was getting the best of her was giving her sharp spikes of anger. She hoped to use the anger to fuel her quirk.

"Fine. We'll try again tomorrow. I hate to add insult to injury but if you don't figure this out soon were going to have problems." He said, turning to walk out of the door. "Go get cleaned up at the nurses office." He said, with one final wave of his hand. She hated wasting his time like this. Why did she have to be so damn weak? Not just her quirk but her physical strength too. She stood up, wiping the rest of the blood off with a towel. She felt like someone had grabbed both her arms and was pulling her apart. It was a miserable feeling.

She trudged out of the building. She was going to stop by the nurses office like she was instructed, but knew she wouldn't make it there. So instead she went to the dorms and showered off. She layed down in her bed, but was too sore to get any sleep. So instead she stared at the ceiling. She wished it could tell her what she was doing wrong. She ran through her head what could possibly be the issue. Maybe it needs a certain magnifying lens? Maybe an x-ray vision? Maybe it was just time sensitive. So many things could be the case. Maybe she was better off being left to rot. It wasn't like she was going to be saving anyone anytime soon. She slapped her pillow over her head, groaning to herself. She just needed some fresh air. She stepped out onto the balcony, enjoying the sweet smell of the forest coming from the other direction. The sky was cloudless, all she could see for miles was a solid, beautiful blue. She let the thoughts escape her mind and cling to the wind. It was too peaceful out here to be stressed. She could hear loud sounds coming from the training ground. The ground shook, and sounds of explosions rang through out the clearing. A small bug landed on the railing. That's when a thought occurred to her. But was it too dangerous? What if someone came into her line of sight? She timidly removed her bandage, squeezing her eye shut as hard as she could. Then, she flashed it open, looking directly at the bug, it took a couple seconds, but finally the bug fell flat, becoming motionless. She sighed with agitation. Despite it's death she continued to stare at it. That was when something odd happened. The bug seemed to be illuminated white within the black lens. And then she could see. She watched as the nervous system began to slowly glow. Illuminated in white light. She stared at it. Dumbfounded. She could see the different connections like constellations in a black sky. She saw a spot where the light had grown thin, slowly but surely all the lights began to thin and die out. Was she killing it!? She immediately pulled away, just in time to see most of the nerves come back to normal. When she woke up from the odd dream like state, she was panting. But no blood was coming from her eye. In that split second... she could choose which nerves to focus on. To her absolute amazement, the bug stood up with half of it's legs, and began to fly with one wing. It wasn't untouched. But it wasn't dead either. Then a thought occurred. She noticed that the bug's nerves had been so few in number. On a human, who knows how long it would take her to find the exact one to shut off a specific limb or function. And was the bug stuck like that? Would it ever re-gain use of it's limbs? At this point it didn't matter. She had learned something. She could use her quirk, without killing someone. An old, dead, childlike excitement rushed into her. She couldn't remember the last time she felt this way. She had to tell Aizawa. What would she even say!? Oh yeah so I just stared at this bug, my vision turned black, I saw it's nervous system and shut half it's body off. Yeah like that makes sense. She thought, shaking her head. It still couldn't dull the excitement. She picked up her bag and swung open the door. She began full speed forward, but was stopped when she ran into something rock solid, seeing as it pushed her off her feet completely. When she looked up, Bakugou stood right in front of her, leaning in the doorway.

"S-sorry I didn't know you were there." She sputtered, trying to fit in the crack between him and the door. As soon as she was through, he picked her up by the back of her shirt and swung her back into the room. She hopped back up, she couldn't lose the image in her mind, she had to leave immediately.

"Do you need something?" She asked the expressionless blonde.

"Yeah, we need to talk." He smirked, slowly backing her into the room. He closed the door behind himself. Something about his tone was strangely threatening. The hair on the back of her neck was on end. Everything about this seemed sketchy.

"Can it wait? I really have to go talk to Aizawa-sensei." She insisted, trying again to get past him. He simply pushed her backwards with one hand. "Fine. Just make it quick. And why the hell are you being so pushy?" She muttered, straightening her uniform. Still he backed her a little farther in. Eventually she just stopped moving and pushed him backwards.

"Stop. What's wrong with you?" She said glaring up at him. Now she was angry and determined.

"I'm sick of playing games. What's your quirk." It came out as a flat order. Anzu was done. She shoved him in the other direction, reaching for the handle of the door, grasping it with white knuckles.. She yanked but... when he closed it he locked it. Shit. She thought, frantically jiggling the lock.

"That was a pretty stupid move bitch. Stay where I tell you!" He said shoving her against the wall. She tried to wrestle with him, but her strength was no where near close to enough.

"Fuck off!" She hissed, trying to force him away, but failing miserably.

"I bet your quirk has something to do with this dumb ass bandage." He chided, bringing his face sickeningly close to hers. She could feel his breath on her cheek. Panic and frustration began to course through her veins. She made one final attempt to get him off. She kicked out her knee, landing it straight in the groin. He looked startled for a moment, giving her just enough leeway to squirm out of his arms. The second she was out she was pulled back in.

"Bad move." Bakugou snarled, grabbing her collar and hitting her harder this time into the wall. She had no idea what was happening. Why was he being so rough for no reason? Did he have two personalities? A brother? Maybe he was bipolar? Nothing made sense. It wasn't like she could defend herself with her quirk. She didn't even know if it was reversible. Horrible thoughts spun through her mind. She couldn't imagine if she left one of the biggest up and coming heroes blind or deaf. She might as well be quirk less.

"Please don't do this. It won't do anything to help either of us." She said through grit teeth. He didn't say anything. Just stared with sickeningly cold eyes at the bandage on her eye. She couldn't let him take it off. She squeezed her eye such as hard as she could. She just had to wait for the break. Or maybe she could cause one.

"Fine. You're right. You deserve to know." Anzu said, giving a sad smile up at him. She tried her best to look pitiful. She just had to appeal to him.

"Good we agree. Now spill it." He said, loosening his grip. Just a little more. She thought to herself. She kept him occupied, locked his gaze in hers. Slowly, carefully, she lifted up her arm, and rested it on his cheek. Meanwhile, she reached out towards his pocket, where she had seen him slip the key to the door.

"What do you want to know?" She said moving in closer to him, trying to play along with this sick charade. She got it. She slowly pulled the cold metal out of his pocket, keeping him focused on her the whole time.

"What does your quirk-" She took him by surprise. With all the remaining strength in her right arm, she swung around in a full turn, landing a blow directly to his nose. She was shocked at how well it worked. He was completely knocked off balance. She shoved the key into the lock struggling with it, when she finally got it open he was already there. She bolted for the staircase. He missed her by an inch. She dashed down the stairs and was outside before he could even hope to catch up. And without any more struggle, the scene had been left behind. But now she had to fret about what she would be coming home to that night.

"Aizawa-sensei?" Anzu asked, knocking on the door of the classroom.

"Enter." He replied, glancing over towards the door. Anzu hurried over to him. Her excitement had dulled but remnants were still speckled through out her emotions.

"I discovered something about my quirk!" She said, trying to maintain composure. The adrenaline from her previous experience was still running, leaving her shaky.

"Tell me." He instructed, flipping over an answer sheet. After that, Anzu explained all she could. The feeling, the look, the smell, the sound. Everything from start to finish about that little bug. How the nerves had glowed and the more she focused the thinner their connection got. Aizawa listened intently.

"This is a big breaking point. We should test on some animals first, to see what would be the best approach. It's still dangerous and unrefined, but at least it's something." He stated, staring at her a little too seriously.

"Can I ask why you look like you just saw a ghost?" He asked looking directly towards her slightly shaky hands. Anzu took a moment. She could confess but what good would that do her? Getting Bakugou in trouble without any proof would probably give her a bad wrap among class 1-A. Besides, If he doesn't already have it out for her, he certainly would after that. Over all, she decided to deal with it herself.

"Oh nothing, I just need to go grab some food." She stammered, trying not to sound too suspicious. Aizawa could tell immediately that she was lying, but decided not to push.

"Alright then. I'll try to get you a test subject by tomorrow." He said waving her away.

"Thank you for your time. I'll see you then." She responded, shutting the door behind her. A heavy feeling of dread began to crash over her. What was she going to do? She couldn't handle him on her own. She couldn't tell anyone either. She would be at risk of being put on their bad side. What was she going to do? The question went through her mind so many times it lost meaning. She would just have to confront him. If she tried to sleep on the couch her classmates would get suspicious. It wasn't like she knew anyone well enough to room with them for the night. Hopelessness began to drown her.

As she trudged home she continued to think. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding. Maybe he just got mixed up over something, or wanted to know but wasn't able to confront her. If anything, how was she going to tell him that her quirk was a secret? Her head began to throb. So much to keep track of in such a little time frame. When she finally made it back to the dorms and stepped inside, most of the class was back. She ate and shared, noticed Bakugou wasn't with them. When she had finally finished, and done every extra piece of work she could, she stared emptily up at the stair case. What if he became dangerous to be around? Was she being stupid? What if this was a terrible idea? No. She wasn't going to let him get in the way. She needed to put up with it and be confident. He couldn't control her. Maybe in the animal kingdom it's survival of the fittest, but not if she could outsmart her predator. She began to walk up the stairs. As she stood in front of the doorway, she began to fret again, but shook the thought off. She just had to act like she owned the place. She was about to turn the nob but it swung inwards before she could reach it.

"Welcome back." He said, his voice tinted in something eerie. He pulled her inside. Before she knew what was happening, he had forced her to the ground. He planted his knee to her chest. He dug, he grinned as he dug his knee into her rib cage, finding entertainment in her pain. All of the pain, the nerve damage, the sleep exhaustion, the throbbing in her eye, the headache in the back of her head. All of it was so overwhelming. Now this. She was like a deer in the headlights as he ripped the white bandage from her eye. A million thoughts were going through her mind, none of which made sense. Everything could end. Right here. Right now. Something, anything, please. She was supposed to be a hero in training. Supposed to be strong. How the hell was she supposed to protect people when she was this weak!? She thought, her last bit of anger dying out. That's when the door opened. Katsuki Bakugou stood in the doorway. The one attacking her, glared up, snarling at the intruder. That's when two Bakugou's stared at each other. The look on the one in the doorway's face was ridiculous. He looked utterly confused.

"Who the fuck are you!?"
