Chapter 2. Mana Energy.

After an unknown time, Hypnos finally woke up. He is happy to have been the god of sleep, since most of the time he dispensed with the intrusion of morpheus and even more of Ícelo.

Opening his eyes, still apparently tired, he scanned the room.

The bright light illuminated the entire environment through the windows.

It was clear to him that he was in a crib, surrounded by other cribs, after all, he was in an orphanage.

Like a baby, Hypnos frowned.

"If this is part of the fortune cycle, I wonder what the lower circles will look like." He was clearly disappointed by the acclaimed random circle.

It was not long before their needs were met by nuns.

The milk in a bottle was delivered to him, and a warm blanket covered him to snuggle up.

For the next long months, Hypnos did what was certainly best, slept, and was not expected of a baby, seeing his state of peace that the nuns left him alone.

A year finally passed quickly.

He was not really concerned with the weather, as that was indifferent to an ancient immortal like him. Even now, he didn't frown when he said that, even if he wasn't in his immortal state, he would have at least immense longevity to not worry about wasting time.

Adapt to an accessible point of human intelligence at that age. Hypnos expressed his "genius" by speaking and performing his basic tasks in a short time. After all, it was more likely to trust someone responsible, even if it was just a child.

That way, when he grew up, he wouldn't feel so overwhelmed by the nuns' strict rules.

As the year went on, Hypnos finally noticed a noticeable difference in that plan.

The energy was flowing freely all over the place.

It was different from his native plan. Which mortals were restricted to no influence of energy, even though some managed to connect to the spiritual plane in some way.

The energy was volatile and could have less than good consequences in contact with fragile beings like humans.

Although he was not very present in human development, Hypnos was certainly not blind to everything, as he remembered Hecate's influence on the fertile minds of human beings who reproduced rituals in an attempt to form a bond with a higher being.

After so many years, Hypnos was really back to zero. It was a strange feeling, as long as he remembered that he had always been powerful.

Needless to say, Hypnos would gladly accept the abundance of energy.

At the moment, he didn't even have a body considered resistant.

Its ancient divine body was strong enough to break planets in just one attack, and its title was not even turned towards the battle side.

If he were someone without a clue, he would certainly absorb the energy in the natural form found in the environment.

But this was not viable for Hypnos.

"An impure body does not produce good results." Hypnos mentally murmured a phrase said to him by hecate.

To protect his own physical integrity, Hypnos preferred to cultivate slowly and perfectly, rather than in a fast manner that will be useless in the long run.

After some tests, he considered that the molding and manipulation of this energy was quite different from the manipulation of divine energy.

It was like comparing moving a ball and a mountain.

By carrying out the proper handling tests, it was time to start your work.

Shaping a sphere of energy that he called mana because of his knowledge of Hecate. He started to press the sphere as if it were flattened.

As a blade shaping process, Hypnos did his best to compress the energy and expel the impurities present.

Once twice….

If it weren't for his great focus, he would already be distracted and all of his work would dissolve into nothing.

After compressing at least a little over a hundred, Hypnos reduced his excessive focus a little and contemplated his hard work.

Above the constant mold, an almost perfect sphere of energy not visible to the mortal's naked eyes hovered in front of him.

Still maintaining his constant manipulation, he did not risk being distracted and incorporated it into his body.

Before that, he completely confirmed that there was not even an iota of impurity.

As soon as the energy entered his body, he guided it as far as possible before sending it to the core of the reservoir.

Like an ecstasy, an avalanche of power reverberated through Hypnos' body.

His body was strengthened and the blood flowing through his veins was a little more purified, consequently making his needy brain work better.

After feeling the changes in his body, Hypnos smiled slightly.

Even happy, a great fatigue arose due to mental exhaustion.

He without thinking, prepared to sleep.

He still felt uncomfortable sleeping in human form, contrary to what he was used to. Still, he didn't have enough energy to spend lightly. In addition to the chance of being expelled for being mistaken for a simple bird.

The river ran and 5 years passed.

In a spacious room, made in the large attic of the orphanage, a beautiful child with golden hair was standing, watching the silver moonlight in the sky.

On the back, great golden wings that were arched like a fan of pure gold.

It was observed that in some parts of the wing, some silver feathers stood out as ornaments in the gold feather.

Looking sadly at his hand was one of his golden feathers with a silver sculpture.

"Brother." Hypnos said sadly.

Although few know. Hypnos and Thanatos were not always two separate entities.

In the beginning of their existence, the two were just one.

Contrary to Erebo's expectation. Your father. He divided them into two distinct entities, making them twins.

When asked by Nyx, Erebo replied that there should not be a single existence with two primordial laws.

And so it was done, Hypnos was in charge of the divinity of drowsiness and Thanatos of the sphere of death.

What was not expected was that the two would keep some of their divine power together, even if separated.

Just as Thanatos also possessed an infinite part of his sleep-related power. Hypnos also possessed an infinite part of his death-related power.

As it was not really feasible to continue separating their existences, Erebo kept them that way.

Guarding the feather. Hypnos continued to watch the silver moon that reminded him of his other self.

"Today you are exceptionally beautiful." He murmured.

After observing the beautiful figure of the moon, he retracted his wings, which was easy, as it was originally part of the body and went to sleep.

Hypnos was awakened at dawn by a knock on the door.

Through persuasion and a moderate hypnotic game, Hypnos convinced the nuns that it was better for him to have a quiet place for his studies. Knowing his genius, the nuns did not consider giving him the solitary space. With a quick cleaning, the place was perfect for Hypnos, who preferred to be alone.

Rising from the bed, he walked around with an irritated face.

"How dare you wake me up!" He said annoyed at his thought.

If Morpheus was there, he would surely hit his face with the idiocy of mortals.

In the pantheon of the gods, one of the absolute unofficial rules was not to wake Hypnos from his sleep. Never!

When he opened the door, he found himself in front of the orphanage matron, looking at him as if he were quoting an apology.

In the orphanage, it was also known that the sleep of the hypnos was sacred to him.

"I'm sorry, Hypnos. That girl just arrived at the orphanage and the transfer process took a while. Not in her room, couldn't you let her stay in your room until we get others?" She said in an almost pleading tone.

Hypnos looked into his eyes and was about to say something when he was cut off by the hurried matron.

"Well, introduce yourself, girl, don't be rude."

Hypnos noticed that she shivered a little.

This was also the first time he noticed it.

She had long brown hair that ran down the middle of her back.

Greenish eyes that looked like a serene lake.

Her milky white skin increased the innocent charm.

Their two eyes met and a blush appeared on his shy face.

"I ... I'm Elizabeth Phoren. Nice to meet you!" He said still embarrassed.

"For a few seconds, Hypnos continued to look into the silly girl's eyes and said nonchalantly.

"Hypnos von Austräs Vermillion." He took a step to the side, indicating that he should enter.

Head down, she entered the room.

"Thank you, Hypnos, I will leave you alone with the girl, I take care of her, from what I heard that she was bullied in the other orphanage and therefore was transferred." The matron said with a serious face.

Hypnos nodded slightly and said goodbye.

When he closed the door and turned, he saw the same girl sleeping in his bed.

His face seemed happy to enjoy the rest, apparently his day was exhausting.

Even though his pride has diminished somewhat for someone to enter his strictly personal territory, he has allowed it due to his recent situation.

But he would insist on solving that problem later.

Not wanting to share his bed with a stranger, he sat down on the wide armchair and picked up a book to read.

After reading enough, he laid the book down on the table and relaxed his body before falling asleep almost instantly.
