Chapter 5. Vermillion Palace

"You are swearing by your blood Arlak! You are shaming your ancestors. What would they say about you consecrating the boy as a descendant of the man we serve." The goblin said disappointed.

Hypnos was compassionate when he saw Arlak's diminished state in front of Elder Goblin Larak.

A few minutes ago, they were taken to this reserved place.

Arlak turned to Hypnos and knelt down.

"Please, my king, show him that they are wrong. I beg you!"

He looked with disgust at Arlak and the other goblin who cursed him for his alleged fake children.

He sighed.

He would do the stupidest thing the world would certainly regret.

Even though he didn't like Larak opening his mouth, at least the goblin tried to help him and showed his faith.

And that reminded him of his former followers: The various temples in his honor!

"You were a good Arlak, your ancestors would certainly be proud of you." He said.

When the older goblin was about to curse him, he pulled something off his ring.

The golden glow overshadowed any piece of gold in the room, the eyes of the two goblins were captured as if they had seen the difficult past of their ancestors.

Faith and fervor flooded them.

The moment he saw the stunned looks, he sighed in regret.

"why did i bring the damn sword?"

The same elderly goblin who slandered him, got off the couch and, in groggy steps, hobbled to his front.

Incomprehensible tears in your eyes.

"Why do goblins have such an old sense of servitude !?" He questioned himself again. It was not even a sword created by divine hands.

He knelt in front of Hypnos like Arlak and said.

"Lurak, from the former Lafrit family, bows to his majesty Hypnos."

Sighing, he waved at the scene the goblin was doing.

"My king. As an elder in an ancient family, there are no records of descendants of the Pendragon family, so how ..." A complicated look overlapped Larak's thoughts.

Since he was not sure about this matter, it was better for him to divert his attention from this conversation.

"Who knows, but make sure. My family is older than it looks." He said with a mysterious smile. While rummaging through the items in his safe, he naturally read parts of the books on the shelves.

Among the various old books, he obtained an old diary, possibly belonging to one of the family's ancestors. And by the set dates, he was sure that they were definitely very old.

While everything was happening, Hypnos said something.

"And you. Tell me why this servitude? Since when did goblins become attached to the human hierarchy?"

"The past is confused, my lord. There was a time when incomprehensible unions were made. In ancient records, humanity was a great base for all races at war, the great King Arthur was one of our allies. There is in our blood an eternal pact of union on the bearer of the sacred sword and crown. "

Hypnos frowned.

"Was the past so hazy that independent races like goblin became servants of a larger family?" He thought.

Right after the conversation ends.

Back at the orphanage, Hypnos was sitting on the edge of the bed while thinking about something.

"I remember the wizards' servants, I wonder if there is anyone alive in my old family."

"Take my call, come to me, elf of the Austräs Vermillion family!" As soon as he finished his sentence of thought, a pop noise reached his ears.

Kneeling in a servile manner. A man with long platinum hair and tall stature.

Hypnos frowned. These elves looked much like those he had seen with the Norse gods in the war of a thousand worlds.

As long as you remember. Elves are physically fragile creatures, with pointed ears, long hair and expressive almond-shaped eyes.

Their characteristics differed greatly from the elves described in the witch literature.

"My lord! I am deeply moved by the vivence of our heir. Finally our Austräs family will be resurrected!" The elf said fervently and cheerfully.

"Yes, yes, but first calm down. Tell me your name, elf."

"I am Sharn Dandelion, sir. Our Dandelion family has been an affiliate of the Austräs family since its founding."

"Shar answers me. Why are they so different from the elves present in most places?" Hypnos asked something that bothered him.

"I hope you will forgive me, my lord, but these beings are not real elves. They are just a race previously servant of black elves. The true name of their race is Illien."

"Good. So how did your race become a servant to my family? I thought noble elves like you would prefer to be free."

"Our race, as well as that of the black elves, we are adepts of the supremacy of the force. In a war, our clan of noble elves Dandelion lost against his family, a contract of servitude was administered and since then we have done our part. "He replied without any tone of disagreement from his ancestors.

"After all, they are still a servant race." Hypnos thought.

"That's enough for the moment. Tell me, is the Austräs home still up?"

"Yes, my lord. As we have almost unlimited longevity, we remain in charge of all the Austräs properties."

"So they are truly immortal ... It makes no difference, so am I." Hypnos shrugged and threw the thought aside.

Despite not having his power, his divine law was still part of his being making him an immortal being.

"I suppose most of your family members are still alive, aren't they?

"Yes, my lord. Of course, not counting those killed in combat." He added.

Hypnos waved.

"I also suppose you can bring me home, don't you?" He asked even though he already knew the answer.

"Yes, my lord. You only wish and Sharn'll do."

"Liz." He said it loud enough to achieve it.

He knew that Liz was taking a breath outside.

It didn't take long for her to reach the room and enter without knocking.

As soon as she opened the door, Liz jumped into his arms and kissed his cheek.

"Surprised? Too fast for you to follow." She said in a playful tone.

"Yes, yes, of course I held back so you wouldn't scream in fear." With an ironic tone he said, making Liz pout.

He turned to Liz and said.

"Liz this is Sharn my Family Elf. Sharn this is Liz my mate." Even though there was no different hint in the phrase, Liz blushed slightly.

Sharn looked deeply shocked to see that his master had already found a lady.

"Madam." He said bowing.

"What? Leave. Sharn take us to my home." He frowned but was too lazy to think.

In a quick movement, he put his hands on his shoulders and with a pop sound disappeared from the room.

Hypnos felt a little dizzy when he found himself in a kind of dimensional tube.

Around it a myriad of bright colors that hallucinated composing the entire space.

Despite the beauty, it didn't take a second and they were already in another space.

Feeling the ground on his feet, he thanked Sharn.

With a dizzy Liz propped up on him, he visualized his surroundings.

They were on a beautiful stone path. In the surroundings of the path several types of flora decorated it.

The air was clean and refreshing and brought a comforting feeling to his heart.

Liz had quickly recovered and was now observing the wonder of the environment with Hypnos.

Walking along the beautiful path, the forest slowly opened to the sides for a kind of large clearing.

Emerald-colored grass swayed gently, while the sound of a waterfall sounded from a fountain and also from a waterfall that fell from a high chasm that covered the low horizon and because of this a rainbow shone next to the orange colors of the twilight sky. Far. Great green mountains added the wild and natural charm of the environment.

Several types of fruit trees existed in the green clearing. The clean surface of a small lake nearby also caught the eye of Hypnos.

He could even see several species of fish swimming in the serene waters.

Walking a little further they finally found themselves in the heart of the territory.

The white tiled paths were divided by perfectly pruned trees and crystal clear pools that reflected the Orange color of the sky above.

In the background, a large palace with several tall towers. The Palace seemed to employ several architectural styles, probably restructured a few times to suit the best of age.

Its long style, built in a kind of shiny red-white marble, was mind-boggling to see.

Its tall towers closed in pointed domes and gave it a medieval style charm.

If Hypnos described this place in one word, he would surely say: paradisiacal.

When looking at Liz, he saw her with the same delighted expression, the only difference being that a bitten peach rested in his hand.

Hypnos laughed a little, which made Liz wake up and pout him.

"Well, don't be like that. Don't you like this place of ours? If you didn't like it, we can go back, Sharn…."

"NO! I liked it, let's stay here!" She cried out in despair when he saw him wanting to leave.

Hypnos turned and looked at her with a slight smile.

He felt a pain in his arm and realized that he had been punched by Liz who was looking at him with watery eyes.

He laughed and took her hand.

She quickly stopped her tears and a blush stained her cheeks.

Walking on the white tiles, they finally reached the door.

Opening it they were met by a long line.

"Welcome home, Master!"

As he was happy at the moment, he received them with a warm smile.

"Thank you."

Apparently the Elves smiled back.

Among the elves a prominent one came out and knelt on the kneeled in front of you.

"Patriarch of the Dandelion Clan. Silth Dandelion. Greets your majesty Hypnos."

Hypnos nodded slightly in respect.

At the moment Hypnos was wondering if he really wanted to go to Hogwarts.

Life there seemed so good that perhaps even paradise itself could not match this welcoming climate.

But he reinforced his promise and clenched his fists at making that choice and having to stay away from this place for a while.

After being introduced by Silth to a large number of elves, He was surprised that the clan was both large and small.

In total there were 110 elves and 114 woman elves. Totaling 224 total elves.

While for a clan of elves that naturally were already a less fertile race, the number of elves characterized them as many. However it was small in the perspective that it was probably the only or one of the only remaining Elven clans on the planet.

Turning that thought away, he focused on the details of his exotic and beautiful heritage.

"Tell me Silth. What is the name of this palace?"

"The name is Vermillion Palace, master."

Hypnos frowned and asked him as he ran his fingers over a beautiful antique vase.

"Just by the family name?"

"It's one of the reasons, sir."

"Explain it to me better, I wouldn't be able to guess with so few tips."

"I'm sorry sir. The name of the palace is associated with two reasons. One of them being the meaning of your family name. In addition to the Austräs name, the name Vermillion comes as a joint surname from your lineage." Realizing that Hypnos was with him, he continued.

"From the beginning, the Vermillion descendants have a great connection with nature, especially mystical beasts. And next to that comes the second reason for the name."

Silth accompanied by Hypnos and Liz went outside which was still clear and whistled loudly in a certain tone.

Hypnos had understood that it was the elves' natural ability to connect with nature.

In a few moments, everyone there heard several loud and high-pitched screams that were almost unforgettable.

A large group came over the orange horizon as if they were bringing the sun's own flame with them.

When they got closer, everyone quickly recognized the birds as one of the known mythological beasts.

They looked like huge, fabulous eagles with their feathers that burned in orange flames.

"True Phoenix!" Hypnos exclaimed excitedly, but soon coughed and recovered.

Of course, he couldn't help but get excited. Even as a God it was not easy to see a phoenix.

Now that he saw an entire flock of mystic birds, he naturally felt agitated.

"I am especially intrigued to see myself once again graced by the presence of an heir to his family." An ancient voice came to his mind.

When looking at the most prominent of the phoenixes, he saw a large phoenix that called attention due to its excessive size.

Their eyes met and Hypnos appreciated the beautiful scarlet color present in the bird's eyes.

"I must say that I am also honored by the presence of an elder." He mentally responded by making a slight bow.

Liz looked shocked to see Hypnos perform such an act.

At other times, he really just bowed the least or just waved, but this time he really seemed sincere in his slight bow.

It was not the first time that he talked to birds, since he was technically very attached to them.

Even though he hasn't been doing it lately due to the circumstances, He remembered his habit of sleeping in his golden bird form.

"You are really a prominent boy, perhaps even more so than your ancestors. Your own language and manners make you seem to know our noble language even without making use of your lineage."

"I appreciate your compliments. I introduce myself as Hypnos. I'm afraid I should ask about my lineage. Am right?"

"Wise my boy! I take the name Tyran. As you may have noticed his lineage was the cause of his surname Vermillion. The ability to communicate with birds is not very common in his family and only a few belonging to the main branch to Their connection with the Phoenician Imperial clan gave them their name and our presence here named your palace. "

"I would even tell you that your clan is really influential in various branches of this world. Of course, on the bestial side of the world. Your family has a strong connection with us Phoenix, but it also maintains little contact with other bestial clans."

"Now that there is no more to explain, I bid you farewell here, heir Vermillion."

After Tyran left with the Phoenix pack, Hypnos stopped to ponder.

"This world is much more complex than I thought ..."

"Apparently, only older beasts like Tyran have the ability to communicate with humans through speech. Furthermore, I can draw an imaginary line between my surnames. Even though the two are a single set, the separate names have influences on different planes. " He thought for a while and continued his reasoning

"Apparently the name Austräs, is better known and influential on the human side and the name Vermillion with the bestial plan. Even mystical beasts like Phoenix had their own empires, maybe even other bestial clans also had their golden ages" Thinking a little about this he remembered something he forgot.

"How could I forget about Nyx… tomorrow I will ask Sharn to bring me back to get her ...."

Right after all that happened, it was night and Hypnos was incredibly tired from the events of the day.

Guided by a beautiful elf named Hyrat, they finally arrived in the room for the patriarch.

Upon opening the doors, the two found themselves in a large room decorated in the reddish colors that matched the palace. A large bed that would fit a few dozen people was placed at the end of the room next to a large stained glass with moonlight.

Around the bed was a large black veil that reminded him of the bed itself.

And it reminded him of his old home, a feeling of longing with tiredness made him forget where he was and he became his other form which he repressed for a long time.

Hypnos had become a great golden bird. His appearance was the same or even more charming and charming than the Phoenicians.

As soon as he was transformed, He remembered his surroundings and was quickly transformed.

He turned in a panic, with Liz's disgusted face in mind.

But contrary to what he thought, he saw her with an excited and brilliant look.

She pointed at him and said.

"Animagus!" An awkward and silent climate formed, until Hypnos asked.

"As?"

"That was an Animagus form wasn't it !? How did you do that? In the books you borrowed from your safe, you were saying it was difficult to become one!"

"Yes?" Hypnos really wanted to leave you believing that for today is another day I would work out a way to explain.

Making that decision, he ignored the excited Liz and disappeared over the black veil of the bed.

Without even waiting, he forced himself to fall asleep instantly for fear that she would torment him until dawn.

Unconsciously, by dawn, he was already holding Liz in his arms.

Even without them knowing it, there was a silent figure who watched them for a moment before disappearing and appearing in the hall full of elves.

The figure that appeared would be recognized by Hypnos as Sharn.

And he says.

"Yes, I'm sure she is or will be our new lady. From tomorrow, be respectful and keep in mind that your position can change in just a moment!"

The elves all nodded, before spending the next few hours discussing how they would best serve their master.
