Rendezvous

The morning sun beamed into their classroom as their teacher discussed something about cultural history. Boredom fills over her as words turn into murmurs and she diverted her into the clear field over the window. As luck would have it, the professor didn't see her not listening to his class. Then she saw a movement in a bush near the entrance to the forest located near the school.

The young lady looked at it intently until a fine-looking brunet emerges. He is so tall and handsome, and seems not familiar, maybe a new student? How come she doesn't see him in school? Then, he suddenly looked up to her who Penelope, left in awe. They stared at each other as if they are talking into their minds and Penelope knows he is somehow connected to her? Or does she feel something related towards him? Whatever that is, Penelope reminded herself to go after him after class. She was pulled out of her reverie when her teacher shouted her name, reprimanding her for not listening to his class. Because of that, she was forced to be in a detention room.

It was sunset when she finally got out of the school and fortunately her friends are waiting for her at the school gate, completely neglecting the thing she's about to do which is to follow after the man. Little did she know that there is a man in a school uniform observed him from afar as she disappears along with her friends.

Their house was gloomy when she got back home, it seems that her parents are out for a while, so she made herself within and straight to the kitchen. She saw her dinner already made at the table attached with a note on the side. She picked it up and read.

'Honey, we are going out for a while

Don't wait for us.

We are coming back before you know.

Penelope smiled as she indulged into her meal once again, alone. She woke up next in the morning, still her parents didn't come back home yet nevertheless she prepared her own breakfast and get readied for school. Well, her name is Penelope Salvador, and her parents are on a business trip again. Not that it is something new from Penelope. Right now, Penelope is studying at the Greenland Academy. She loves science a lot and enjoyed reading books. Unfortunately, she was caught up in an accident a year ago, so she lost her memory. All that Penelope remembered is that she was found lying on the forest unconsciously in a middle of a heavy storm, but that doesn't matter now to her, so she just goes on in life.

They just ate their lunch when they decided to stroll around the clear field of the adjacent school to the forest. The dame suddenly remembered that she should be looking out for that guy yesterday. She quickly told her friends to go before her that she forgot something, and they should not be waiting for her. Her friends gave her an inquisitive look, apparently, they don't want her to go, but Dana, one of her friends, dismiss them and finally let go of her. Penelope gave her a thankful look which Dana nodded in acknowledgement. Then, Penelope sprint into the forest without her noticing. She merely ran straight, doesn't know where to go until she was gone into a riverbank, other side seems dangerous because it is entrance deep into the forest, but she has that feeling that there is something important in there, like someone is nudging here to be there, but she knows it is perilous to go further so she back away and readies to go back when she was struck with something cold from her back. Her hair in all of her body stands up as the unknown man behind her encircled his hand around her waist. She was ready to knock him in the stomach when the man speaks hoarsely into her neck that made her stiff to where she is standing. "I've been waiting for you."

Penelope can't speak, it seems like her mouth doesn't want it to. She just froze there on her spot, eyes closed and waiting for something hard to strike her but the guy just laughed and released her. Did he just laugh?

"How dare you? You almost made me die there, I thought you were some kind of freak!" she exclaimed while pointing her index finger into the mysterious guy, but the brunet just brushed her off and formally introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Trevor. I finally met you again!"
