PERFECT FOR THE ROLE

Gong Xu almost tripped and fell after he heard Ling Fen Shout. It was not only him, everyone in the hall stopped whatever they were doing and looked over. The lady in charge of calling the numbers burst out in laughter.

She and everyone else was wondering the same thing, how do wish someone good luck with pork trotters? This was quite a new and unheard-of way.

The girl's voice had echoed such that the two men inside a certain black car parked outside heard it clearly. One of them was wearing a deep frown while the other was smiling silently.

Xiao Lu was really enjoying this new side of Chen Li he had never seen before. This thirty-one-year-old virgin was silently drinking a jar of vinegar and his face was formed into a scowl making it look dark like the back of a pot.

On the other side, the female attendee walked over to Ling Fen and said, "Miss, why don't you accompany your boyfriend inside if you want to wish him good luck." Her voice beamed. She had noticed the two earlier and when she heard Ling Fen shout, she figured she had an outgoing personality so she went over toward her.

When Ling Fen heard this, she almost fell down from shock while Gong Xu almost tripped once again before steadying himself.

Ling Fen laughed awkwardly and said in a whisper, "He is not my boyfriend but my younger brother." The female attendee became embarrassed all of a sudden. Her pale face flushed deeply and then she apologized profusely, "I am so sorry…sorry…I assumed…."

She was stammering but Ling Fen held her and told her it was okay. She then remembered that the female attendee said that it was okay to go in in order to support Gong Xu.

Not many people had come with their family members or friends so the female attendee said that the director, Qiao Zilan, had said that it was okay for one family member to get inside the audition hall.

Ling Fen looked toward Gong Xu with eyes full of expectation. She really wanted to go inside and meet Qiao Zilan, whose movies she adored endlessly. Gong Xu then sighed and motioned her over, he knew just how much the other was glued on the screen if a movie directed by Qiao Zilan came on.

Ling Fen rushed over in excitement.

The audition hall was not large but it was sectioned into two. A large curtain was raised as a partition. Ling Fen was not allowed past the curtain but it was not a loss because it was quite transparent and she could still make out the outline of her favorite director.

Qiao Zilan watched the young man cross the curtain and then came and stood before them. He was quite tall and very handsome. if he were to liken him to any character in the film, his body and face resembled that of the male lead, Rong Li.

He did not want to judge yet so he was waiting patiently for the other's portrayal of Mo Jiamu.

Gong Xu greeted the judges, "Hello, I am Gong Xu and I am nineteen years old. I am auditioning for the part of the second male lead, Mo Jiamu."

Qiao Zilan nodded then asked, "What inspired you to pick this character?"

Gong Xu was silent for a moment and then he answered, "Because he is so cool!"

Qiao Zilan…..

Jing Bao...

Liang Sheng…..

Even Ling Fen was left speechless. So this idiot was only interested because the character was cool?

"You may begin." Qiao Zilan told Gong Xu after failing to find words to tell the other.

Gong Xu nodded then moved back a bit. He did not make any sudden movements and he did not speak either, only his eyes changed.

Ling Fen did not know what was happening but she suddenly felt that the air was rather oppressive. In a moment it was filled with malice, scorn, and a bit of depression yet this bit of air lifted as fast as it came. Ling Fen suddenly felt lightness. She did not fully understand what was happening before he heard Director Qiao Zilan say, "The role is yours."

Qiao Zilan did not understand what the other was trying to do yet when he did, he knew that the role was to be given to him and him alone.

Mo Jiamu was half-mad and he was described as extremely unreliable because his moods changed so quickly. He could be your friend as fast as he could be your enemy and all these depended on the air surrounding him.

What Gong Xu had done was considered perfect, he gave the subtle difference between Mo Jiamu's two personalities even without using words!!!
