Chen Li turned around as soon as he heard what his father had said. There was a limit to what parents could do to intervene in their children's lives but this was downright a serious invasion of privacy. How could his dad just pop up with a fiancée for him without even asking first?

Mo Yurou's face turned pale as she watched Chen Li leave. She had been jealous previously of how he had sent gifts to Ling Wen. She had previously spread a rumor that Chen Li washer fiancé in the inner upper circle.

When she saw how the man favored Ling Wen, she could not help but feel anxious which made her run to her father to ask for Chen Li's hand in marriage.

Her family was quite wealthy and the benefits they would bring to the Chen family if they were joined in a marriage alliance were many. Old master Chen heard this and smiled. Because that son of his was not even lifting a finger to bring her a daughter in law, this Mo Yurou was not bad looking so he agreed immediately.

Who knew that Chen Li would storm out as soon as he heard the news!

Old master Chen felt a headache coming as soon as he saw his son leave. He stood up and shouted, "You stop right there!" his voice boomed but not only did Chen Li not stop, his footsteps increased in pace.

Xiao Lu was watching this scene in amusement. In this case, he too felt that old master Chen had gone too far. If it were him, he would have reacted just the way Chen Li was right now or even worse.

"I said stop right there!" The old man shouted once again and Chen Li indeed stopped and turned around. His face was clouded in anger and his chest heaved up and down, he looked scary. Even Mo Yurou who sat down quite a distance away could not help but shudder slightly.

"What do you want now?" Chen Li asked helplessly. He could not believe that his father could go to such lengths just to let him get married.

The old man scoffed, "If you only did as I said I would not have retorted to such methods." He said matter of factly. His face was also clouded in anger. This pair of father and son stood opposite from each other, their expressions at the moment identical.

"Dad, do you really have to do this?" Chen Li asked in a thin voice. He was on his last straw just like his father was. None of them refused to yield.

"Yes, I have to do something like this." His father answered in an even thinner voice. His eyes were hard, staring unyieldingly towards his son.

"Then what should I tell my girlfriend?" Chen Li used this as a last resort. His face moved from anger to helplessness. He knew his father very well. The decisions he made were considered final in the Chen Family.

If he said now that the lady sitting in the room was his fiancée then he would not stop until he saw the two signing marriage certificates.

When everyone heard this, they were shocked beyond words. Although Chen Li was a businessman, he was even more famous than top celebrities in the country. Everything he did was scrutinized under the public eye that was why everyone was shocked; there had never been news of his romance to any woman in the capital so where did this girlfriend come from?

Old master Chen's face was skeptical; he simply could not believe what the other had said he had a girlfriend. In his head, he thought that this was an attempt by his son to turn away the marriage with the Mo's young lady.

"Who are you lying to?" Old master Chen's voice fleeted by. He turned towards Xiao Lu who had become invisible a few moments ago, "Xiao Lu is everything he is saying true?"

Xiao Lu mentally cursed Chen Li in his head. The shamelessness Chen Li had could not be explained in mere words. What girlfriend? Chen Li had never even held a girl's hand so where did he find a girlfriend from?

His mind thought one thing yet his mouth still stood by his friend. "Yes uncle, he has been dating for a while now." He said politely. He watched as the anger in the old man's eyes receded and what followed were eyes that sparkled more than the stars.

"Really?" the old man asked but his heart that was already convinced jumped up and down happily.

Chen Li did not answer and directly went out with Xiao Lu hot on his heels.
