What Gong Xu said was not a lie. Rong Li (Male lead in PIECES OF MAN) was the spitting image of Xia Ming. The person who wrote the book must have been a fan of Xia Ming.

When Xia Ming heard this he laughed heartily and then asked, "Really?"

He had a row of clean, white, pearly teeth which were beautiful. Gong Xu simply nodded and said nothing more.

Ling Fen on the other hand was getting restless. Standing in front of two people she admired the most was really overwhelming. She almost removed the book she had kept in her bag to ask the two to sign their autographs but then gave up when Gong Xu looked at her.

It was as if the other always knew what she wanted to do and his eyes always kept her in check. Ling Fen lamented, he was not fun at all.

The two entered the trailer after Qiao Zilan and Xia Ming had left. The space was just right, not too wide, not too narrow.

Ling Fen threw herself on the bed with a plop!

"I am so tired," she shouted while yawning. The two had been traveling all night and didn't get the chance to rest yet.

Gong Xu also plopped himself beside her and sighed, it was indeed tiring.

"Thank you for coming with me," he said after a while. Ling Fen simply nodded with her eyes closed, "If not me then who else would?"

She asked while turning around to sleep with her stomach. Gong Xu was still looking up. What Ling Fen said was true. It seems like they only have themselves to lean on.

None of them had friends and the only other family member was their mother, Song Yu.

Gong Xu was truly grateful for many things these days. He wanted to be better in order to protect the two women in his family.

To tell the truth, he had been so mad back then when he heard that Ling Fen had been injured but there was not much he could do other than worry. He always seemed so helpless in such situations which was why he wanted to use acting to rise to the top so that no one dared lay a hand on his family again.

The two sat in comfortable silence before a knock sounded on the door.

Gong Xu stood up to open it and saw Xia Ming standing on the other side. He had changed his clothes and was now wearing an impeccable suit and his hair was styled in the style of Rong Li.

Xia Ming was still smiling, "Qiao Zilan asked me to get you, we are going to do some test shots,"

Gong Xu nodded but could not help but wonder why another different person was not sent to come for him. Sending someone so high and mighty like Xia Ming was inappropriate no matter how hard you thought about it.

Gong Xu walked in and put a blanket over Ling Fen who sleep had caught up with.

His actions were gentle as he tucked her in more so that the blanket would not come off even if she kicked it in her sleep.

Xia Ming, who was still standing outside watched this scene and a certain mild feeling rose up in his chest but he put his emotions back in check when Gong Xu turned around to walk out.

The two walked slowly towards the set. Xia Ming could not stop himself from asking, "Is she your girlfriend?"

This question seemed inappropriate but Gong Xu did not care. He simply answered, "No, she is my older sister."

Xia Ming nodded, "You two don't look alike at all." He laughed. Gong Xu looked toward him and then said, "I am adopted."

His words were casual even when saying such an important thing. Xia Ming instantly looked up. The words Gong Xu had said were indeed heavy and most people would not say them even if they were asked.

Xia Ming was momentarily lost on what to say. Luckily they had also reached the set. Qiao Zilan walked towards them, "Gong Xu, head over to costume and make-up, little Xia you follow me."

The two nodded and then separated.

Xia Ming was still thinking about what the other had said. From his words, he could tell that Gong Xu was a rather casual guy.

After Gong Xu was done with costume and make-up, he walked out briskly.

No one looked his way at first but an actress who was nearby saw him and exclaimed loudly,

"Wow."
