Let me show you how to love

Jennie and Jackson finished their shower and went to the bedroom to get dressed. Jennie handpicked a floral blouse and black jeans from their wardrobe. She put on her pants and was about to wear her shirt when Jackson grabbed it for her hands.

Jennie tried to reach out for the blouse, but he kept raising it higher. She jumped as high as she could, yet her husband's 6'8 height was too tall for Jennie because she was 5'3. Jackson teased her a bit. He would bring her shirt a little lower when Jennie strived to seize it, Jackson would carry the blouse higher.

"Come on, babe. We don't have all day." Jennie said, chuckling at his childishness. Jackson stopped and threw her blouse across the room. "Seriously, dude!" Jennie said. She tried to go for her clothes, but he held her hand. Jennie stared at him, and he had those sad puppy eyes. "What?" Jennie asked, then Jackson withdrew his right hand from behind his back. She saw two yellow t-shirts in his hands. Jennie grabbed the clothes and looked at them.

They were matching sweetheart t-shirts. One had white letters written on it saying, "He is mine." Another with blue letters writing, "I am hers." She laughed so loud at how cliché these sentences sound that it scared Jackson a little. "I bought them when you were on your trip and had this entire romantic date plan in mind for when you come home. However, one argument led to another, and I forgot about these guys. But now we have a beautiful reason to use them." He said.

Jennie slipped the t-shirt on and asked. "How does it look on me?" Jackson pulls her closer and whispers. "You looked stunning." Jennie giggles when Jackson's breath tickles her ear. "Thanks, babe. But you have to get dressed now, or we will be late. There are so many ideas I have for today." She reminded him. Jackson looks at the towel around his waist and his shirtless body and nods his head. "Yep, my wife is right. I will change now." He said.

After a few minutes, Jackson and Jennie were both clothed. All that was left was their hair. Jennie stares at her messy hair in the mirror. She could feel her husband standing behind her. He grabbed the comb, straightened her hair, wrapped it with a ribbon, then kissed her on top of her head. "I miss these kinds of moments," she murmurs. Jackson hugged her from the back and replied. "Me too."

"I have to make a call. Afterward, we have to switch off our devices." Jackson said as he brushed his hair. When Jackson got done, he stepped out of the room to make his call. Jennie watched as the door closed, and she wondered what the call was all about.

The drip got finished, and Joe took the needle from Steven's vein. He removed the empty drip bag from the hook and disposed of it. "UMM, Julie?" Steven mutters. Joe rushed to his boss' side.

"Sir, are you awake?" Joe asked. Steven opened his eyes and saw Joe bending over him. "AHH!" He screamed. Joe grabbed Steven and shook him. "Boss, are you okay? Are you in pain? Should I call doctor Benson?" He cried.

Steven struggles to remove Joe's grip on him. "Yes, no, and no!" he screams as he breaks free from his butler. "You startled me. But I am better now. You don't need to stand over me like that! I thought I heard Julie's voice when I was asleep?" Steven stated.

Joe distanced himself from his boss and stood in the room's corner. "I am sorry, sir. And yes, Julie was here, but she left an hour ago." He replied happily. Joe felt at peace that his boss was awake. "Did she tell you why she left?" Steven asked as he adjusted the pillow behind him. "No, she did not," Joe replied. Steven felt downhearted and curious as to why she would leave without waiting for him to wake up.

Steven picked up his phone to call her when he saw eight missed calls from Chloe. Joe watches his master strife to decide on whom he should call. After Steven stared at his phone for a while, he got frustrated and threw it against the wall.

"AHH... Why is this so hard? It should be easy! I mean, Chloe betrayed me and broke my heart. So I should have gotten over her by now and be able to move on. Yet every time I take one step forward, my heart pulls me two steps backward. Plus, Chloe is everywhere in my life. If I tried to move on, she would surface in front of me. Then I would get hooked on our past feelings and let her into my heart again." Steven cried.

Joe felt pity for his boss. Although he thought the youngsters these days are weird with their emotions, he could see that Steven was struggling to handle this life-changing situation. "And then there's Julie. When she is around me, I get all workups and do the wrong thing. But it's because my heart beats faster than an average person when I am around her. I want to impress her, make her laugh, and have her feel relaxed with me. Yet, there's this wall she built around herself, and I don't think there's a way over it." Steven continued with his grievance.

When Steven finished his complaints, he turned to Joe and saw sympathy in his eyes. "Joe, have you ever been in love? I know it is a ridiculous question, but I need you to answer it, please." He said. Joe took a seat and answered. "Yes, I have." Steven had this earnest expression on his face when he asked Joe the next question. "Do you have any recommendations concerning my love life?"

Joe rubs his bald head and answers. "You cannot love two people equally. There is always a distinction in how you value each of them. Find that difference, and you will find the one for you." Steven did not fully understand this aged man's words, yet he took it to heart.
