Getting ready for our date

It was five-thirty on the dot when Julie rushed through the bakery door in excitement. "Good afternoon, mother and father." She said as she hurried past them. Julie was skipping steps while running up the stairs in happiness. She arrived at her room door, opened it, entered inside and shut the door.

Their daughter's behavior did not surprise Mr. and Mrs. Harper since they knew she was in love. Mr. Harper was still skeptical about Steven, but he kept his opinion to himself, and Mrs. Harper felt glad that her daughter had gotten over her fear of loving someone.

Chloe stared at her phone, and it was already six pm. Matt had said he would pick her up by seven o'clock. She felt blue and had been starving herself inside her room from last night till now. Her mother had tried to get her out of bed. But Chloe was not letting anyone in as she did not plan to go outside.

Julie dropped her bag on the floor and removed her shoe from on her feet. She unbuttons her shirt and takes out her skirt before speeding to the bathroom, leaving all her items on the floor. When Julie got into the toilet, the first thing she grabbed was her shower cap and wore it. Julie hates to get her hair soaked because when it becomes wet, it takes hours to get dry. And she did not have that amount of time in her favor.

Chloe crawled herself out of bed sluggishly and intentionally dragged her feet as she walked towards her bathroom. She looked in the mirror and could hardly recognize her appearance. Puffy eyes, black circles, swelling under her eyes, pale face, and gloomy expression. But none of these bother her like the way having dinner with Matt did.

Julie got into the shower and applied some dove body wash on her loofah. She turns the shower on and washes up while she happily sings her favorite song in the shower. "I would've stayed at home because I was doing better alone. But when you said, "Hello," Lalala balala..." Julie sang her heart out to Dua Lipa's song "Break my heart," and even though she did not know the entire song and could not sing well, Julie was not afraid to scream the song out loud.

Chloe felt too empty and depressed to undress, but she got through it. Her cute panda night suit pants slid off her legs unto the greenish tiles. She lazily unfastens the shirt until the last one and drops it on top of the trouser, then gets into her tub and allows the water to run with her head relaxing at the edge of the bathtub.

Julie got done with her shower. She came out of the bathroom humming, and dressed in a colorful unicorn bathrobe, wearing her pink bedroom slippers. Nothing could stop the joyful moment Julie was undergoing. She opens her wardrobe and pulls out a stunning black nude classic dress.

Chloe had fallen asleep in the tub. The water had reached the top of her neck, and it was running out of the bathtub. She felt herself slipping down a little, and a little water entered her nose before she could wake up. 'Wouldn't it be more fun to drown than go on a date with him? Ah, what am I even thinking about today? Whatever happens in my life is not worth killing myself over.' Chloe thought and got out of the tub. She recklessly pulls the towel from the hook and ties it around her before leaving her bathroom.

Julie loosened her robe rope, removed it from her body, and laid it on her bed. Next, she picks up her dress and puts it on. Her hands reach down to the zip and struggle to pull it up. She finished zipping it and went in front of her mirror to touch up her makeup. She opened her makeup bag and decided on a glittery appearance.

Julie mixed charcoal and silver eye shadow to create a deep and sultry look on her eyelids, combining it with a glossy peach lipstick to enhance her lip.

Chloe walks past her mirror when she enters her bedroom and does not give it any attention. Instead, Chloe goes to her closet and picks out the first dress her hand took out. It was a plain mini green dress, but she did not plan on changing it. After wearing her dress, she finally looked at herself in the mirror.

Julie opened her jewelry box and took out a pair of silver matching earrings and chain. She wore them with a silver bracelet with a black gem in the middle of it. Fixing her hair was next on her schedule, and it was her favorite thing she loves to do. Julie designed her hair in an updo style, adorning her intricate updo with forehead grazing jewels.

Chloe gazed at her image for a long time and did not care to tone it up. Instead, she took a lip balm and rubbed it on her lips. Chloe then grabbed a pair of gold earrings and put them on. Her hair did not need fixing since it was neck length, so she took her brush and straightened it.

Julie loved her appearance so far. All that remained was her shoe and bag. She wore a pair of silver heels and held onto her black gleam clutch. With her eyes full of admiration for her reflection in the mirror, Julie heard the doorbell ringing. Her heart lit up like Independence Day when she heard Steven's voice.

Chloe found a decent pair of white sandals on her shoe rack and put them on. Her mini handbag sat on a stool close to in her reach, so she stretched her hand and grabbed it. Despite the minor effort Chloe made in getting ready for her dinner date with Matt, she still felt too dressed up for him. However, it was too late for her to turn back because she overheard his voice in their living room.

Julie stepped out of her room, and quickly but gently walked down the stairs. When Steven saw her his jaw dropped, and his eye got focused on her, it was like she and he were the only people in the room.

Chloe forced herself out of her room and down the stairs. As she entered the living room, her eyes rested on Matt, and he seemed satisfied. His eyes sparkle like a Christmas bulb. He stood up and smiled at her.

"You look beautiful!" Both Steven and Matt announced at the same time.

Chloe did not know what happened or how she felt, but her lips curved into a slight smile before it faded away. But that did not stop Matt from gazing and smiling at her. He has had so many women dressing up to please him it has gotten dull for his taste. And now seeing Chloe look so natural makes him feel a whole unique energy that he was not getting from his other women.

Julie walked up to Steven and embraced him. "You look beautiful," he whispers in her ear before kissing her on the cheek. Steven could see that Julie had put time into her appearance, and he appreciated the fact that she did. It proves to him she craves this relationship to work out as much as he does.

"Where are you taking me?" Chloe asked Matt with a mad expression as they got into his Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio.

"Where are we going, babe?" Julie questioned Steven after they had said goodbye to her parents and were leaving the bakeshop.

"Extravagant restaurant." Both guys answered with passion in their eyes.
