The end of their date

Another waiter came up to Matt and Chloe and directed them into a private room. When the waiter left them alone, Matt finally let Chloe down. She felt so good being on her two feet again but also hated him for carrying her against her will.

"Look here, Matt! I am not your puppet! And I..." Chloe said, but stopped her sentence in the middle as the beauty of the room caught her eye.

The space in the room appeared partly cut off from the noise of the premier restaurant by a gleaming oval curtain, which seemed decorated with four-thousand-five-hundred sparkling fiber optics, which fell dramatically from the ceiling. The crystal chandelier in the form of raindrops made the room more glittery and romantic.

Chloe slowly twirled around, admiring the design of this room. Every single detail was breath-taking to her. She felt comfortable as the light reflected everything flawlessly.

"Do you like it?" Matt asked, and the sparkle in Chloe's eyes faded away. She glanced at him, and her face became stiff again.

"What?" He asked her as Chloe took her seat and focused her attention elsewhere.

She did not answer, and he did not ask any further questions. Matt drew a seat for himself and sat down.

There was nothing but silence in the room before the waiter came through the door with a gold tray. He set down various dishes with each meal, having a distinct scent and color.

Finally, the last dish got served, and the waiter left the room. Matt picked up his silverware to cut into his steak, but he stopped and gazed up at Chloe. She had laid back in her seat, folded her hands, with an expression that expressed that she wanted nothing to do with him or his food.

"Are you not eating?" Matt asked with a sigh. So far on their date, they have argued with one another, screamed at the next person, plus hated each other, and yet, Matt finds this date to be one of his exciting and delightful ones.

"I am not hungry." She mumbles.

"Growl!" "GRR!" Chloe's stomach sounded.

Matt giggled a little. He ate a bit of his steak and gave her a questionable look.

"Are you sure you are not hungry because your stomach say otherwise?" Matt asked, before dipping his sushi in his sauce and slowly taking a bite of it. The sauce drips over his lip, and he licks it off seductively.

"I am not hungry!" Chloe harshly replied, holding her stomach.

"GGRRROOOOWWLLLL...!" This time her stomach sounded extra loud.

Matt took another sushi, dipped it into the sauce, and put half of it in his mouth with the other half outside. He then stood up from his chair and walked over to her.

"What are you doing?" Chloe sharply asked as he gently squeezed her mouth open and put the other half of the sushi in her mouth.

"Don't spit it out!" Matt warned her after he had removed his lips from on Chloe's mouth.

Chloe did as he said and chewed it up. The thought of where the sushi came from made her feel more disgusted, but her stomach seemed to have quieted down after eating that piece.

"Do you want me to feed you more?" Matt asked with a sly smile. He was now sitting on the edge of the table right next to her.

"I can do it by myself!" Chloe replied. She bent her head and ate the pasta faster out of the bowl.

'She's so cute when she's upset.' Matt thought as he took his seat.

"You did not have to make her lose her job." Chloe stated with her head still bent.

Matt did not reply. He kept eating like her words meant nothing to him. But Chloe's remark did affect something deep inside Matt's heart. When Matt got done with his sushi, he walked out of the room without saying a word to Chloe.

"Did I do something wrong again?" Chloe said to herself as she gazed at the shut door.

Matt leaned against the wall and made a call to the restaurant CEO for the second time that night.

"Lee, I need you to reemployed that waitress." Matt said.

"Am I hearing this right? The mighty Tress who never forgives someone is feeling pity for a waitress. Wait, it's not about the waitress. It's about her, right?" Lee replied in a mocking tone.

"Who?" Matt asked, trying to play dumb with his friend. He knew if Lee assumed that he had actual feelings for Chloe, his friend would make him the laughingstock of their group.

"The chick you carried to my restaurant. Zach called me and told me you had created a scene in my territory by carrying your little miss on your shoulder. Don't tell me you have feelings for her." Lee replied with a giggle.

"I don't care about her. She's just another woman that I can use and dumb. You know what, forget about that waitress." Matt said and dropped the call. He then went back into the room.

Steven parked in front of a store, ran inside, and came out after fifteen minutes with two gigantic plastic bags. He places them in the back seat and gets into the driver seat.

Julie looked at how nervous and sweaty Steven was when he got in the car, and she wondered if she was the one having a stomachache or if it was him.

"What all did you buy?" Julie asked him.

"I bought everything." He replied.

'What the heck!' Julie thought as she grabbed the first plastic bag from on the backseat and opened it.

Unique brands of Sanitary towels, hot pads, Tampons, Vitamins, Hot compress packs, Painkillers, Tea, and three sets of cute pajamas were inside the bag.

"Thanks, babe. I can see that you just wanted to get a lot of months out of the picture. Which is why you bought this much product?" Julie said with a sweet smile.

"What? Oh, no. All these are only for this month. We can buy new ones for the next month." Steven replied.

Julie's smile became awkwardly crooked after Steven's response. 'How in the world am I going to use these in just three days?' She thought.

"Oookay, moving on to the next bag!" Julie said, setting the first one back on the seat and picking out the next.

Julie's eyes lit up when she opened it, and her odd smile turned into a cute giggle. Low fat ice-cream, dark chocolate, coconut chips, apple slices, homemade cookies, a pack of marshmallows, chocolate-covered Pretzel, Scones, Energy drinks, Gourmet snack bar, Lemon candy, Organic milk, Strawberry Brownies, Organic Gummy bears and more.

"Do you like them?" Steven asked, hoping that he did not go overboard with his purchase.

Julie opened the pack of Organic Gummy bears and munched on some. With a filled mouth and big bright eyes, she turned to Steven and nodded her head to answer his question. He then drew closer to Julie and kissed her on the head before driving off.

Since their fancy date got cancelled, Julie suggested spending the night at Steven's place since her parents were often busy with evening customers. Steven when along with her idea, and they spent the night curled up on the couch with Julie's head resting on Steven's chest, wearing the cute pajama he had purchased. With a soft bedsheet covering Julie and Steven's lower body, they watched an old-school movie until mid-night before they went to bed. The happiness Steven felt that night made him understand exactly what Julie said in the car.
