"Mom, bride, where we at?" The wedding planner said, walking further into the room.

Mrs. Harper pulled up her daughter's gown zipper and smiled.

"We are ready." She mumbled, gently rubbing Julie's arms as tears ran down her cheeks.

"Awesome, bride, please come with me. Your father is waiting for you at the church door."

The wedding planner said.

A look of hesitation crossed Julie's face. Then she turned around and tightly hugged her mother.

"I love you so much," Julie said, sobbing softly.

"I love you too, sweetheart." Mrs. Harper mumbled, gently patting her back.

Now that the bridesmaids were in the church hall, everyone was impatiently waiting for the bride, except Jackson.

He was too focused on staring at Miya to care for the stuff going on around him.

"Everyone please stand! The bride is about to enter." The preacher said.

In less than a second, everybody was on their feet. Then the door opened, and Julie walked in, wearing a Mermaid Vintage Bridal Gown.

Steven immediately hugged Jackson, snapping him out of his feelings.

"She's perfect." He mumbled, crying on Jackson's shoulder.

Then he let go of his friend and gazed at his bride as Mr. Harper led her down the aisle.

When Julie reached Steven, he kept smiling at her as they faced each other and the ceremony begin.

A few minutes into the wedding, the preacher gazed at Julie and said, "Miss Julie Harper, do you take Steven Manson to be your lawful wedded husband?"

"Yes," Julie said, sniffing softly.

A loud noise rose in the hall as everyone cheered and clapped. Then the preacher turned to Steven and said, "Steven Manson, do you take Julie Harper as your lawful wife?"

"Yes!" Steven shouted, holding Julie's hand in his.

The sound of clapping, crying, happy laughter echoed in the hall.

"Well, with the power invested in me by the church, I now pronounce you husband and wife." The preacher said.

There was a moment of hesitation between them. Then Steven walked over to Julie and slowly removed the veil off her face.

"I love you." He whispered, pressing his lips against hers and kissing her gently.

The reception took place in the ballroom of Starlight hotel, and the hall was lively with people chatting.

"So, Mrs. Manson, I must say, 'you are the belle of the ball," Steven whispered in Julie's ear, and she softly giggled, blushing profoundly.

Then her sight rested on Jennie walking into the hall and her face went blank.

"Jackson, can we talk for a second." Jennie intoned as she approached him.

He then stared away from Chris, focused on her, and said, "Sure. What's up?"

"I think prolonging our divorce is just going to keep me hopeful, and I don't want to, especially when I know there's nothing to hope on," Jennie said, clutching to the folder in her hand.

"Jennie…"

"Let me finish. I know that if I don't do this today, I won't have the guts to do it later, so here are the papers. I have to move on as you have done, and this is my first step to healing."

For a moment, Jackson stared at the folder in Jennie's hand. Then he took it from her, accepted the pen that she offered him, and signed his signature on the papers.

"Thanks. I am leaving now." Jennie said, striving not to cry.

As she turned to leave, Jackson grabbed her wrist, turned her to face him, and hugged her tightly.

"Thank you for the amazing years of marriage. I'm sorry for my failures as a husband. I hope you find happiness again. Goodbye, Jennie." Jackson whispered in her ears.

At that moment, his eyes met with Miya's gaze, and she quickly turned the other way and walked away.

Immediately, Jackson let go of Jennie and ran after her.

When he caught up to Miya, he grabbed her hand, and she stopped in her tracks, turning to face him.

"Hey," Jackson mumbled, gazing into her eyes.

"Hi," Miya whispered, looking down at her shoes.

"So, I just signed my divorce papers."

"Why are you telling me?"

For a moment, a look of hesitation crossed Jackson's face. Then he placed his hand under Miya's chin and lifted her head.

"Because I want you to know, and because I have feelings for someone new," Jackson mumbled, staring into her eyes.

"Really? Who's the lucky girl?" Miya said, feeling a dull throb in her chest.

"I'm gazing at her."

"Oh."

It grew silent between them. Then Miya softly smiled and rushed into his arms as tears rolled down her eyes.

"I guess those two talked," Steven mumbled, smiling as he gazed at Miya and Jackson hugging.

"Isn't that your Ex?" Julie said, staring at Chloe.

"My who?"

"Look to your left."

Hastily, Steven took his focus off Jackson and Miya and placed it on Chloe.

"What's she doing here?" Steven absentmindedly mumbled.

"How should I know? She's coming over. I should give you guys some privacy." Julie mumbled.

However, when she tried to walk away, Steven grabbed her hand and pulled her back to her original position.

"I hope I'm not breaking any rules by showing up," Chloe said, smiling at Steven.

"Why are you here?" Steven replied with a calm expression.

A smile surfaced on Chloe's lips. Then she softly sighed and said, "I and my date stop by to congratulate you. Matt, meet Steven. Steven, this is Matt."

It grew awfully quiet between the four of them as Steven awkwardly stared at Chloe, then at Matt.

"Well, it's dope to meet you." He said, extending his hand.

Without any hesitation, Matt shook his hand and said, "likewise."

Then Chloe faintly smiled at Steven, clutched onto Matt's arm, and they walked away.

"What was that all about?" Steven whispered, staring at Julie.

"I think it's her way of saying that she's moving on too." She mumbled, smiling at him.

As time passed by, the hall became even more lively with music playing, with conversations here and there, and people feasting at the tables.

Miya and Jackson were happily chitchatting when her phone rang, and she gazed at the screen, then the smile on her lips suddenly faded.

"It's my divorce attorney." She mumbled, gazing at Jackson with worry in her eyes.

"You didn't tell me you hired one," Jackson said in confusion.

"Well at the time, I didn't think that I needed to."

"True. Go on accept it before the call gets canceled."

Taking her gaze off Jackson, Miya answered the call and listened attentively. Then she said, "Thanks, I will be there."

Afterward, she withdrew the phone from her ear and stared at Jackson.

"What is it?" He said, taking her hands in his.

"Lucas is refusing to sign the papers. I would have to take him to court to get it signed."
