Heart-attack

Mohsen was scared, he had never had a scare like this before. His body was going into shock. His heart was beating too fast, his limbs were shaking uncontrollably and his mind went blank. There was this nausea feeling in his stomach that he couldn't explain. This wasn't the first time Mohsen had seen this much blood, yet he just stood there as if he had died momentarily.

"What's happening? What's wrong with her? Mohsen do something! MOHSEN!!!" Zassar was experiencing a different type of emotion, he was rambling nonstop, he couldn't stand still watching Yilas laying lifelessly. But since he was more experienced in battles, Zassar was able to recognize that Mohsen was not acting himself. The horse beast-man used a small force and punched Mohsen in the face, enough to knock him flat on his bum.

The pain snapped Mohsen's mind back to reality. He stood right up and reached for his packaged bag. He crushed up more of that same plant that she had before and shoved it into Yilas's mouth before using some water to make her swallowed it. Due to the suffocation and the water, Yilas woke up coughing, ingesting a large amount of the herb.

"Oh Thank the Beast-God!!!" Zassar exclaimed as soon as he saw Yilas having some reaction, his body instantly bowed to the ground as to paid his gratitude to the beast-god for not taking Yilas's life, he held her hand tightly without letting it go for a second.

Once Yilas had calmed her breathing and Mohsen had wiped away the black stained blood on her face, Yilas asked him.

"W-what had happened?"

Mohsen looked into her tired eyes and felt enormous guilt, he should have told her the truth, he should have prevented her from using so much energy. It was all his fault for hurting her frail little health.

Mohsen closed his eyes and sighed.

"Too much energy drained so your body collapsed..." He couldn't even look at her when he spoke. Yilas's health alone was too poor to sustain her own well-being within this forest, yet she used so much energy to clear them a path, which Mohsen suspected had injured her internal organs. Leaving the condition untreated could be fatal to Yilas.

"Yilas, you scared me to death, if this keeps happening I think my life-span will be cut in half." Zassar pouted his lips and complained, he acted like a puppy and nudged his face onto her palm, wishing her would comfort him dearly.

Yilas wore a faint smile on her face though it looked weak and sickly, all the pink lively color was drained from her face, only speckles of dried blood lingering around her eyes.

"I'm sorry I scared you guys, I hope it didn't slow us down."

Mohsen unknowingly turned his head away to hide his anger, he was angried at himself but he couldn't let it show. Without saying another word, he picked Yilas up and put her on Zassar's back once again, they couldn't risk staying in this forest much longer.

The three followed the burnt trees to the edge of the forest, the two young beast-man was using all the strength they had left to speed through this route.

Finally after two days, just before stepping out of the mist, Mohsen and Zassar both heard something that made them instantly hid themselves. Yilas who was only half conscious at this point looked at them worriedly.

Mohsen put his finger on his mouth, letting Yilas know to keep quite and soon enough, they saw shadows walking the forest edge. There were so many footsteps that it sounded like a small troop. A familiar deep, burly voice echoed to their ears.

"Surround the place, left no exits unattended!"

Yilas covered her mouth in shock, she knew exactly who that voice belonged to and it made her shivered.

Mohsen was biting his lips, it seemed that he was deep in his thoughts. He had calculated that the troops wouldn't leave them alone and followed them quickly but he didn't think they would be able to catch up so quickly. There was only one possibly, someone had rat them out.

Zassar though hunched down as low as he could, was breaking a sweat all over. Yilas even patted on his back comfortingly, knowing that he was nervous since he risked his life following Mohsen and her.

After a while of thinking, Mohsen finally had decided on the best strategy and he looked determined. He looked over to Yilas and reached out his hand to touch her long silky hair. His fingers were lingering onto the strand as if it didn't want to let go. There was a longer of grief hidden deep within his sight.

"Once the troops are gone far enough, take Yilas to cross the mountain, keep following the scent of ocean and don't rest until you reach the water." Mohsen instructed Zassar seriously.
