Aiden : The Firey Tempest

I opened my eyes slowly to realize I had fallen asleep on the chair I flopped on in the night. My back was iced out from the cold breeze coming from the open window. I looked across the room to see Sera and Jenna. Jenna had fallen asleep with her head on Sera's lap. Sera gave me a death stare for some reason. I was very confused by her actions.

'The fuck do you want?' I thought.

She sat across the room from me, staring me up and down, as if I did something awful to her. A disgusted expression never left her face.

I couldn't care less about Sera and her over-dramatic way of dealing with others.

'She looks like a rat's ass.' I thought to myself as I giggled.

She got up and approached me with an angry face.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" She screamed in my face.

"Look Sera, I have been nice to you just because you are Jenna's sister, else you would have been dead by now." I said as I walked past her.

"Are you threatening me?" She shouted from behind me.

I just showed her a middle finger without turning around.

'Such an evil asshole you are Aiden.' I thought as I smiled.

I walked out of the building as the sun was rising slowly.

I saw a tractor parked close by, I walked towards it and climbed on top of it. I stared at the sun rise, full of anger, rage and hope. Hoping that I will get my hands on that son of a bitch. The person who single handedly ruined my everything.

'The day will come and I will whoop your ass Ramsey.' I thought.

I stayed on the tractor for a while, taking in all that had happened in such a short amount of time, Gareth, my parents, everyone else I knew. It all happened within the blink of an eye, so surreal. I needed to do something about it, and that I already set my mind to do.

I remained on top of the tractor until the sun fully rose. Then I slowly climbed down and started walking towards the building as the cold breeze kind of woke me up as it brushed against my cheeks.

"Where is breakfast?" I asked one of the guards as I neared the entrance.

"You have to earn it." He replied with a cross and angry face.

"Okay buddy calm down, I'm just hungry." I said.

"Thought you can have it easy young brother?" The guard responded.

"Young what?" I said in confusion.

"Brother, Sera and Jenna's brother" He explained.

"I am not their brother. Jenna is my friend and Sera is a stranger to me." I explained.

"Oh, you really aren't their brother?" He questioned in disbelief.

"No, I'm really not." I insisted.

"Welp, my bad mate." He apologized.

"I'm still without breakfast." I reminded him.

"Oh right, you can go inside, behind the receptionist desk, there should be a staircase going down, that will lead you to the kitchen area, ask for Davison's meal and you should be able to have my breakfast. Don't worry I'm not hungry yet." Davison explained.

"Thanks a lot Davison. Name is Aiden by the way." I said as I extended my hand to shake his.

"Pleasure is mine, young Aiden." He said as he extended his hand and met mine for a handshake.

Afterwards we nodded at each other and I went inside. I went where Davison told me to go and sure enough there was a huge staircase going down behind the receptionist desk. I climbed down fifty or so steps to what seemed like a spacious cafeteria. People chatting and eating together, some laughing, some getting their food, and some loading up mags for the weapons.

My eyes landed on Jenna, she was sat alone, her head buried in her palms.

'She is crying.' I thought.

I walked towards her, as I evaded people left and right of me until I reached her.

I sat across the table from her as she looked up. A smile lit up on her face as she quickly rubbed the tears off her face.

"What brings you here?" She asked enthusiastically.

"Why so energetic?" I asked with a smile.

"We are sat together, that's why."

"Doesn't answer my question but sure. How are you holding up?" I asked.

"I really should be the one to be asking that. But yeah I'm doing fine thanks for asking kind lad." She replied.

"That is a relief," I said with an even wider smile.

"So? What are your plans?" She asked as she took a sip of tea.

"Eat, then get the hell out of here." I said as I brought her tray of food closer to me instead of getting Davison's food.

"Sharing is caring, I will allow it this time." She said as we both giggled "So, no staying?"

"Unfortunately, I need to find him as soon as time lets me." I said seriously.

"Where to? His castle?" She questioned.

"Probably, ass hat won't go anywhere, so I will pay him a visit." I said with a smirk.

"That is suicide, you know that right?"

"I have nothing left to lose."

She was held back at that. She leaned back a bit and looked away.

"What?" I asked not knowing what's wrong with her.

"it's just.... The thought... of.... Losing someone else..."

"Oh." I said as it hit me "You and Sera don't have to come by the way. I can go on my own."

"Of course not, we won't let you go on your own." She said seriously.

"Just saying, she is your sister soooo, maybe you should consider partnering me on this one." I said softly.

"You kidding? Even if Sera doesn't tag along, I'm still in on this with you."

"No, I can't lose you and be the reason you lose your last family."

"Or maybe we both make it out alive and no one loses anyone." She said with a shrug.

"Let's be honest that has a very low chance of happening." I said as I raised a brow.

"We have done crazy shit together, why not add this to the list?" She questioned.

"Because this is more dangerous than anything we have done before. And I can't risk it with you. This is my fight and my fight only." I said.

"Bullshit Aiden, pull your head out your ass, I won't let you go alone." She said kind of angrily.

Knowing Jenna, I saw that coming. But she said it with more conviction than I thought she would. I really liked it but also feared what might happen at the same time.

"If you insist." I said as I started eating.

The food was absolutely tasteless, I giggled at myself as I ate. It was some canned beans and very old bread. I felt like it was ancient.

After about five minutes I was done eating, I moved the tray to a side and put my hands on table and stared into Jenna's eyes as she stared back, we both looked at each other with smirks on our faces.

As we were getting into the moment, a loud explosion sound came from outside. I looked towards the staircase then back at Jenna, she had a terrified look on her face. She went pale.

I quickly got up and grabbed her hand, and started sprinting towards the staircase as I pulled her after myself.

More explosion sounds came from outside as we climbed the staircase and met up with Sera at the top. She looked pissed and approached me with a gun pointed to my head.

as other people were screaming in pain or fear.

"You asshole brought them upon us. Give me one reason not to kill you right here, right now." Sera screamed at me at the top of her lungs

"Sera, calm down and let's get out of here." Said Jenna.

"This asshole just ruined the whole camp." Sera shouted as she kept the pistol at my face.

"Instead of blaming me as much as you are doing, maybe you should try to rescue some people from dying." I shouted back.

I took Jenna's hand and started running again when she let go of my hand. She just stood there between myself and Sera, staring at each of us for a quick second or two.

She kept going between the two of us until I saw with the corner of my eyes something was thrown into the reception room. I quickly recognized it as a flashbang, so I swiftly ran to the room I was close to.

From there, I grabbed an AK-47 that was leaning on one of the tables and then i proceeded to leap out of the window.

I turned to see who the people were. The ones that attacked the camp. It immediately became clear that those men weren't Ramsey's men, but they were sent by The Elders. I realized that from one of the dead soldiers' shoulder pad. It belonged to The Elders.

'They think this place belongs to the Syndicate.' I thought to myself.

I ran around towards the back of the building where there were other smaller structures. I went past building after building until I was on a street.

Then a very loud explosion happened from where behind me. More than half of the hotel that Sera's soldiers were in was blown up to bits.

I stood there shocked, angry and sad.

I realized that there was a huge possibility I lost Jenna in that explosion. But I knew that wouldn't stop me from getting what I deserve.

Losing Jenna was not the worst thing that could've happened, so I wasn't so sad.

'I'm still going for that asshole and nothing is stopping me.' I said to myself as realization hit that I no longer have anyone I can trust...

Or anyone I know.
