Chapter 9: ALLIES AND ENEMIES.

Ever since she was sent to the reeducation center, Kiva hasn't felt like herself, she doesn't remember what they did to her, but she is absolutely certain her mind has been tampered with. It's only thanks to her genetic advantage that she was able to realize that something was wrong.

She remembered meeting an omen, a lykan who acted like he knew her, then she remembers beating him brutally. She recalled knowing him somewhat, but she couldn't be sure from where.

One day, she was summoned to the World Lord's palace. This was a big deal, since she was just an adept soldier, valued by the military, but hardly the only one. As she approached the palace, she noticed it was the grandest building on the planet, with tall columns, marble statues of the previous warlords, portraits of the World Lord, and golden and jeweled decorations galore, it was truly the height of sophistication and decadence, however, as she saw this, all she could think about was how compared to her homeworld, it was barely decent enough to house an elementary school.

In the throne room, she knelt down before the World Lord and his ministers. World Lord Davos looked down on her from within his armor, no part of his actual body visible, adding to the mystery of this enigmatic leader. He sat on his throne, a large chalk-white concrete seat, whose back stood like a pillar, connecting to the ceiling, decorated with gold and precious gems and with strange bits of machinery connected to the top. The entire throne emanated power, which made the world lord even more majestic sitting on it.

"KIVA WEREN!" He called in his booming distorted voice

"Y-yes, m'lord," she replied with a salute.

"I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT YOU ARE QUITE THE ADEPT," he said, his red visor, baring into her soul, "FAR MORE ADVANCED THAN ANYONE WOULD EXPECT SOMEONE OF YOUR AGE."

"It comes from years of study, m'lord." She replies, "my mother taught me everything I know."

"INTERESTING, WHO IS YOUR MOTHER THAT SHE WAS SUCH AN ACCEPTABLE ADEPT?" He asked

She hesitated at this, the part of her mind that was still hers resisted the compulsion to answer. This was her greatest secret.

"WHY DO YOU NOT ANSWER?" he asked

"I… I can't, m'lord." She gritted out

There were cries of outrage among the ministers

"Answer him, girl!"

"He is your World Lord, your ruler."

"You have no secrets from him!"

The World Lord raised his hand for silence and the ministered quieted down. then he turned back to Kiva.

"I ASK AGAIN; WHO IS YOUR MOTHER AND WHERE ARE YOU FROM?" he demanded

Once again, she felt an overwhelming desire to answer, but once again, she held her tongue.

"OH? YOU STILL RESIST?" he asked, his intrigue and irritation evident in his distorted voice. He stood from his throne pointed directly at her.

"KIVA WEREN. I COMMAND YOU AS YOUR WORLD LORD; WHO ARE YOU?" he declared. Like a bolt of lightning struck her, she felt her entire body convulse, her mind when blank and she looked up at the World Lord.

"I… I am…" she started, still trying to resist, "My real name is… Achaeva Werenel Oberon, daughter of Titania Vaux Oberon, Supreme Pontiff of the Alfheim Theocracy!"

The ministers all gave a collective gasp and even the World Lord seemed to pause for a brief moment.

"The recluse elf princess of Alfheim, who hasn't been seen in the past hundred years?" one of the ministers asked,

"Yes, I left Alfheim and have been in exile ever since." Kiva said breathing hard.

"the elves are the most powerful adepts in all of Hyperion," another minister,

"YOU DO NOT LOOK LIKE AN ELF," The World Lord comments

"A camouflage sigil disguises my elven appearance," she admits opening her shirt and revealing the glowing runic pattern that appeared on her bare chest.

"World Lord Davos, think of the opportunity this will bring," one of the ministers advised, "returning the elves lost princess will make them indebted to you."

"No it won't." Kiva interrupted

"What do you mean?" the minister asked, "your mother would give anything to have you back. Are you not her sole heir?"

"If you inform the Theocracy that I am here, they will not come with thanks, they may raze this planet and execute everyone who is not an adept. That is how she deals with savages, as she calls you non-adepts."

"SO YOU DO NOT WISH TO RETURN HOME?" the World Lord asked, "TO SEE YOUR MOTHER AGAIN?"

"She is the reason I left in the first place and have been in hiding ever since." She replied.

"THEN ELF PRINCESS, YOU ARE MUCH TO VALUABLE TO BE JUST A COMMON SOLDIER. HENCEFORTH, YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED TO MY ROYAL GUARD!"

She bowed her head, "thank you, m'lord."

As she walked away, she was despairing in her mind, her deepest secret was now in the hands of the World Lord, who could now use it to control her. She prayed that the lykan she doesn't remember and the monster she doesn't remember would come and save her.

Nya's plan was coming together. If everything went according to her schedule, she should be standing in the World Lord's throne room within the week. She is in complete control of their primary omen camp, and has given out orders to the other camps, when she gives the signal, they'll know it.

As she comes out of the shower one evening, she sees two people waiting for her, one of them is Terror, the other is one of the lieutenants, a young orc named Bernam.

"What can I do for you two gentlemen?" she asks as she walks over to the racks to grab a towel, completely unfazed.

"You're right," Bernam comments, "she's different from what I expected."

"Sorry Nya, Bernam here wanted to have a private audience with you." Terror explained

"Well there's nowhere more private than in the shower," She comments as she uses the towel to dry her hair.

"A-aren't you going to cover up?" Barnam wonders

"What for? You've already seen all of me." She says as she drapes the towel from her shoulder, "Plus, I don't think you mind all that much,"

"Can you still cover up?" Terror pleads, "it's a little distracting."

"Fine," Nya wraps the towel around herself, "So, what do you want?"

Bernam snorts and approaches her, "I w-was wondering if, after our revolution is a s-success and we are finally free, w-would you like to go out with me?"

Nya's eyebrows rose in confusion, "what?"

"Would you be interested in being lovers?" he asks again.

"Are you serious?" she asks, confusion still on her face.

"Do you not like orcs?" Bernam asks

"I… I don't know." Nya realizes, "I'm not really sure what my sexual preference is."

She leads them out of the showers and leads them to one of the vacant guard quarters, where she has taken up residence. She changes from the towel to a robe and sits on the bed.

"So you don't know what kind of lover you want?" Bernam asks, restarting the conversation

"I never really gave it much thought," Nya admitted, deep in thought, "True, I am not really familiar in the ways of romance and intercourse. I've had a lot on my mind."

"I'm not blaming you," Bernam said, "I've been interested in you since you first showed yourself at that meeting. I find alpha females very attractive."

"That is sweet of you to say," Nya acknowledges, then she looks at Bernam and Terror, "I'm sorry Bernam, I do not think it would be possible for us to be lovers after the revolution." She said bluntly.

"Oh, alright. Thank you for at least hearing me out." Bernam said, disappointed,

The two men look at her confused when she unties her robe and lets it fall to the floor, she is naked again,

"Terror, could you please excuse us." Nya says as she walks towards Barnam.

"W-what are you d-doing?" Bernam asks, taken aback.

"I said it's not possible to be your lover after the revolution," Nya states, "I lack the necessary experience to confirm my capability to do so. So you will be my lover tonight, to help me learn what I find attractive."

"B-b-but don't you have, like, planning to do?" Bernam protested

"I did, but this course of enquiry suddenly caught my attention," Nya said as she grabs Bernam by the arms and starts to drag him to the bed,

"Just asking here, but why didn't you pick me?" Terror wonders

"You already have a mate, don't you?" Nya answers, "it would be self-detrimental to disrupt your relationship with Mari just to satiate my mild curiosity. Now, I believe I asked you to leave?"

"I'm going, I'm going," Terror said as he walked towards the door, "have a fun night,"

"I intend to," Nya says as she pushes Bernam onto the bed, removing his shirt.

"A-are you sure you want this?" Bernam asks nervously as Nya guides his hand to fondle her breast.

"Yes. I believe you would make a suitable lover. Now shut up." Nya says as she proceeds to pull down his pants.

That night, banging and moaning could be heard along that corridor, so loud it almost woke some of the guards.

The next day, when Terror first saw Bernam, he looked visibly exhausted.

"Hey, how'd it go last night?" Terror asked teasingly

It took Bernam a few moments to reply, "My god. When she said she was curious, she wasn't kidding."

"It was that good?" Terror asked

"I can't even," Bernam said shaking his head.

Much later, Terror met Nya before the lieutenant meeting.

"Hey, I heard you rocked Bernam's world last night," Terror said

"Did I?" Nya asked with a quirked eyebrow and a slight smirk, "I rather enjoyed last night. I finally see what all the fuss is about, sex is invigorating. I'm looking forward to my next go."

"Careful not to get too addicted, you are still our strategist."

"I know, I'm not immature, I know how to control my desires." Nya said, "Also, for the next encounter, I would like to try it with a woman, do you know any who would be willing to participate?"

"Do I know any women who would want to fuck you?" Terror thought, "I'll write you a list."

"There's that many?" Nya wondered surprised.

"No, but it was funny seeing the look on your face." Terror chuckled, "I'll ask around and let you know later."

As the other lieutenants assembled into the cafeteria, Nya greeted them with a professional nod, sneaking in a sly wink towards Bernam, who blushed as a response.

"Good day, you lot." Nya said, "Now, let me go over the plan of how we are going to win."

* * *

It was high noon on one of the hottest days of the year. Naturally, the guards retreated into the shade of their observation platforms and air-conditioning of their offices, while the omen were left outside to mingle around the yard, toiling in the heat. Nya walked into the main control room for the whole camp, there were several guards at the stations, barely paying attention to anything. She discretely locked the door behind her, the time was now.

In one quick moment, she ignited her blood aura and tendrils of burning nuform struck at every guard simultaneously. A change had occurred in her blood aura, now when she stabbed a person, instead of just draining them of their blood, she also drained them of their life energy. She noticed that when she killed this way, she absorbed their very essence, and after the spark of life was taken, they only existed as echoes within her soul.

With the control room now clear, she went to one of the stations, entering an emergency code and disabling all the inhibitor collars within the camp.

Outside, the omen prisoners, who had been warned beforehand, proceeded with their plan. With their true power restored, they stormed the offices and observation platforms, restraining every guard they saw, only killing when absolutely necessary, as per Nya's orders. Any guard that tried one of the panic alarms found them all deactivated from the main terminal.

Within several minutes, the omen were in control of the camp, with all the guards restrained in cells.

Terror and the other lieutenants met with Nya in the control room.

"That couldn't have gone better," Mari comments as she pats Nya on the shoulders.

"Yes, phase one was a rousing success," Nya said, "Now comes the hard part."

From the main terminal, she sent a message to every other omen labor camp. Once opened, the virus she had programmed went to work, disabling the inhibitor collars and trapping the majority of the guards inside the personnel areas. It then played havoc with their systems, which further crippled the guard's efficiency. By the end of the day, every omen labor camp was in chaos and the omen were free.

While the omen rioted all over the planet, diverting the military forces, Nya and the omen of her camp, were left, almost unnoticed.

"It's now or never," Terror murmured to himself as he and the other omen waited by the main gates of the camp as they started to open.

"Don't worry," Nya said, "I've planned everything out to the tiniest detail, all you need to do is follow my instructions."

"Alright then, red angel, lead us."

Nya grumbled, "I can't believe that name stuck."

"Alright, since you hate is so much, how about blood angel?" Terror suggested

"It's a bit of an improvement." Nya murmured to herself

As the gates lay completely open, Nya ignited her blood aura, forming two large burning red wings on her back, she then levitated off the ground and turned to her amassed forces.

"To the capital city!" she declared, and the omen screamed in response as they surged forth from the camp.
