Day 6 - Sitting Ducks

I pulled down the last shirt off the clothesline, setting it onto my backpack. We switched clothes every once in awhile, I decided to today. I switched into a mustard yellow long sleeve shirt, and black skinny jeans.

I walked towards James, my eyes focused forward. The jungle was thick and bright green after the early rain. It had been six days since we had left the base, and since I had seen the beast.

"How many do you think are left?" I asked, carefully avoiding stepping in puddles and holes.

"Hard to tell, probably four full teams, other than that, we don't know."

I huddled closer to peer at the tree where different directions were carved to others bases.

"Are we ever going to do anything about them?" I asked impatiently.

"Not yet. It's to early."
