Chapter 45

Somewhere, there was a lush grass field stretched out till the end of the horizon, where a green forest could be seen. There were a few tall rocky hills rising up from the forest, giving out a pleasant feeling of nature.

In the middle of the fields, there was a single lonesome tree that stood with a tall frame, height that could be measured as more than ninety feet tall in a glance. The sky was clear, blue sky, without that many clouds today as the sun was looming on the horizon, lighting the grassland with its light and making it seem divine.

Right underneath the giant tree, a magic circle had appeared onto the ground. Within just a second, the magic circle began getting larger and soon, its diameter would be more than twenty meters.

Green light came out from the magic circle while a gate made of marble and decorated with the drawings of orcs around the edge had emerged. Even the gate itself was carved in a painting that depicted some kind of history, with orcs holding axes in their hands as they fight with many kinds of beasts.

The gate slowly opened, with emerald light pouring out of it. On the next moment, a green skinned leg stepped out of the light. The leg belonged to an orc with leather armor and two axes in his hands who exited the light in the next second. Soon, a flood of orcs warriors came out with their eyes hardened, as if prepared for any ambush or for the war to come.

In the middle of the wave that was full of orc warriors, a group of people could be seen. Some of them were similar races but the rest was different, but there's one similarity amongst them, there was no single orc inside the group. Each of them held many varieties of weapons, with weapons that were unusual in this world to the point of weapons that didn't exist in this world.

In that crowd, an elf girl was walking with her long staff in her right hand while her face seemed to be displeased. On her right side was a human male that looked around age of twenty five. He was wearing a clean shirt and buttoned it up fully to support the elegant tie he was wearing. On top of the shirt he was wearing a sleek vest with 3 buttons, it has a deep v-line, which causes the vest to remain hidden when the suit's jacket is buttoned up.

Moving his gaze towards the elf girl, the man asked with a nonchalant attitude, "Still yet found what you wanted, Elise."

"Don't talk to me like you know me, trash. And don't call my name, it's gross." Replied the elf named Elise while she glared back with hostility in her eyes.

"Wow, so feisty. I like it! Hahaha." Laughed the man while he reached out his hand to a few strands of Elise's hair.

Swatting his hand away, Elise stared at him with a grim expression on her face, "Touch me, and you will die, again."

"Dying for trying to get inside the pants of the protector of the forest? Sounds like a good death to me." Smirked the man while he made a flying kiss gesture.

"You…" Tightening the grip on her weapon, Elise was about to point her staff at the man before someone suddenly stepped out between both of them. The person was a mix of beast and human. His skin was patterned, the cheetah's hide and his head was that of a cheetah. But the rest of his body was that of humanoid except for the fact he had a cheetah tail right on his back.

"That's enough! Both of you." Stated the man with a firm gaze towards Elise and the human male beside him, "You both had caused enough commotion last night. No more fight. Vent your frustration to try enemies instead."

"The only enemy I have right now is right behind your back, R'akhur." Replied Elise with a snort while she glared hatefully at the human male, "Don't you forget what he did last night. First drugging me, then almost gonna rape me? I still wondering why that b*stard still breathing right now."

"I know he was wrong, Elise. But he hasn't done it yet. I had saved you just in time. Besides, we need his power in this war." Persuaded the beastman called R'akhur as he shook his head.

Turning his eyes towards another side of the grassland, R'akhur continued, "Looks like our enemies had came as well."

Following R'akhur's gaze, Elise moved her eyes to the other side of the grassland. Just like her, all of the orcs along with the missionaries had their eyes filled with wariness as they saw the spectacle from a distance.

Another gate right on top of a magic circle could be seen. The gate was made of bones, with gigantic rib bones layered on top of each other to shape a pair of broad gates that tightly shut. However, the gate slowly moved by itself as it opened with red light glowed between the small gaps.

After the gate finally opened wide, the red light intensified and shortly, three rows of hobgoblins wearing steel plate armor were walking out of the bone gate. They were accompanied by another two rows of goblins that rode in direwolves on both of their sides. Then, on the next to the goblins rider, a row of missionaries came out with their weapons ready in their hands and excited faces for some of them.

One of the front row of missionaries, Zuyuan walking right beside Ling Zhue and the other. On his body, he wore full golden armor, with his sword Estgard on his right hand and XB11 followed him behind.

Guiding his Qingong to the armor, he felt the armor weight had been reduced with only half of what it was and its defense reinforced. Looking at him, Ling Zhue smiled while he twirled his spear as he walked, "You have some good stuff for a newbie, uncle. Is this what they called the dog sh*t luck?"

"Maybe." Replied Zuyuan as he chuckled. Gripping the handle of Estgard, he turned his face back to the front and saw countless orcs on the other side of the grassland. Smiling while he assessed the orcs' equipment and steed, Zuyuan's gaze landed on the crowd of missionaries. Whistling, Zuyuan spoke in excitement.

"Well.. Shall we begin?"
