[Opening the user's Silver rank treasure chest…]
[Congratulations! You have received the scroll of traits: Power Shot!]
Looking at the scroll that popped out of thin air, Zuyuan raised his eyebrows slightly in interest. The scroll was made of leather and floating in the air. Grabbing the scroll, Zuyuan turned his head to his side and asked, "What's the scroll of traits?"
"Oh? You got one? Lucky." chuckled Ling Zhue as he put down a mug filled beet on his hand to the wooden table and explained, "It was a scroll to hold a trait. Or a skill, in another word. So you just got yourself a skill, uncle."
"A skill, huh.." Mumbled Zuyuan while he spoke to the system in his mind, 'I want to know more about the trait called Power Shot.'
[Searching for the trait's description… description found.]
[Would you like to spend 300 Death points for the description of the trait Power Shot?]
'Guess I have to pay for everything, huh…' Smiling wryly, Zuyuan continued, 'Do it.'
[Death points deduced! Showing the description of the trait, Power Shot…
-Power Shot: a skill to absorb a part of the user's energy to the bullet that was loaded in the user's forearm and would be activated on the next shot. The skill would double the bullet's damage, speed, and precision. Only work for firearms type of weapons.]
"It's a firearms skill. I don't need it." Clicking his tongue, Zuyuan threw the scroll at XB11 behind him. It stood silently behind Zuyuan's back all this time and guarded Zuyuan for any possible harm, "Take it, Xb. You need it more than me."
"Yes, Master..?" Replied XB11, a little confused from the sudden nickname Zuyuan gave him.
"Woohoo! Give me what you got!" In another direction, Maverick had raised his glass up high while he danced with two human girls. Electro music was played out in the background while one of the missionaries took out a DJ set and started to play out music.
Looking at the clamor inside of the goblin's tavern, Zuyuan glanced at the girl next to him, Camilla, and said, "I thought you would be the type to dance. Why don't you join?"
Scowling at Zuyuan, Camilla retorted, "Who wants to dance with that weird music and this kind of atmosphere? You humans have a weird taste for music."
"Yeah.. I'm wondering too.. Why would someone bring out a DJ set on their bag.." Commented Zuyuan while he moved his gaze towards the young man who became a DJ out of sudden, took out a pioneer DJ, party projector, and some studio monitors. The young man had very short, almost bald, brown hair, blue eyes, and a charming face with a thick, British accent. He danced on the makeshift platform constructed with a bunch of tables as he played the pioneer DJ with his eyes closed.
"Well, heard he had his own reason. If I don't wrong, his skills are related to sound." Stated Ling Zhue while he gulped a mouthful of beer on the next moment.
"That's interesting. He seems to be your age too, Ling Zhue. Maybe you both would be friends if you both knew each other more." Smiling, Zuyuan replied while he turned his head to Ling Zhue. Then, he glanced across the room and commented as he saw a few humanoid beings with spider heads and lizardman race danced with the other missionaries of the human race, "Never thought our music was appreciated by other races."
Snorted at Zuyuan's words, Ling Zhue quietly focused only on his drink with on his other side, The troll, Rimon, was snoring with his head on the table. Inside the tavern, only missionaries had their fun and conversation with each other. The goblins went to another tavern and let their foreign guest use the whole building.
After a while, the door of the tavern opened and Huhe with Lyk came inside. Their appearance had caused a lot of curiosity from most missionaries as they knew that the goblins would love to stay away from them.
Proceeding to the table where Zuyuan was seated, Huhe stood right in front of the groups. His eyes fixated on Zuyuan, Huhe sighed and spoke, "I intended to leave a letter for goodbye and left. But here I am."
Frowning slightly, Zuyuan asked, "You were going back?"
"Yes. Our tribesmen had nothing to do with the war tomorrow. We had our own issues to deal with. The orcs from those branch tribes would harass our tribe while their main tribe went to war. Those tribes probably would be the bottom rank from the others, to the point they would not have a chance to join the battlefield." Answered Huhe immediately.
"I.. See." Replied Zuyuan even though he was quite confused with the branch and main tribe terms that Huhe had spoken. Smiling, Zuyuan asked in a joking tone, "Now what? You will give me a warm hug before you go?"
Smiling back, Huhe shook his head and said, "You are a strong warrior. Although we do not welcome your kind in here, I would still say you are a strong warrior."
On his side, Lyk nodded his head and chuckled, "Goodbye, human prick!"
Still smiling, Zuyuan nodded his head and said, "Thank you for taking me here."
"Thank you for the help before as well." Replied Huhe.
Then, both of them turned their body and walked towards the tavern's entrance. Before Lyk closed the door, he waved his hand and Zuyuan for the last time and left. Glancing at Zuyuan who had his gaze still at the tavern's door, Ling Zhue spoke teasingly, "Looks who had some new friends."
"We are not." Denied Zuyuan as he picked up his glass and raised it to his lips, while he muttered, "Better we aren't. We won't see each other again, ever."
"Who knows." Stated Ling Zhue as he shrugged his shoulders, "You won't know that, uncle. Beside, there was a chance for their souls to go to the Sanctuary."
Frowning, Zuyuan curled down the edge of his lips and said, "I would hope they won't. Not soon or later."
Standing from his seat, Zuyuan moved his gaze towards Ling Zhue and spoke, "Unfortunately, I would have to go back soon. We would need to be in our peak condition for the upcoming battle."
Turkish his body towards the entrance, after only a few steps, Zuyuan halted on his track and spoke, "Oh right, by the way,"
Smiling at Ling Zhue and his group, Zuyuan spoke with a good mood.
"Thank you for the drink."
