By car, it took an hour's drive to arrive at her new school: The Prestigious Perington School. Jamie's dad was driving her and Vanessa to the school. The view was beautiful, there was fresh, green grass, cute farm animals and exquisite, graceful flowers. As a snack, Jamie had a delicious, chocolate donut, a treat from her parents. She took small bites from it, it was rare for her to be getting something sweet. Jamie was worried that her parents would have to pay for her to go to this school but was relieved to find, she was granted a scholarship.
After that long hour, they arrived at the grand, elegant school. "Goodbye girls, have fun!" her dad cried as he took their bags out the car and gave them great big hugs. "Bye!" They harmoniously vocalised. "C'mon Jamie, " Vanessa told her, " let's go to the Reception to find out what house and dorm you'll be in." To the reception, they walked off.
"Oh, you must be our new student, come in, " the Receptionist beckoned. 'That's weird, usually receptionists don't let students in the Reception, ' Jamie thought though they obliged. "Now let's see what house you'll be placed in." She handed Jamie a dice with six words: Beaudall, Seragence, Honazzo, Lovette, Cherudent and Angenique. Jamie looked at it confusedly. What was this for? What do these words mean? Are they the houses? "There are six houses: Beaudall, house of beauty; Seragence, house of Intelligence; Honazzo, house of the honest and trustworthy; Lovette, house of the kind; Cherudent, house of the strong and Angenique, house of the unique, " Vanessa informed. "You must roll the dice to find out which house you're in but don't worry, it's all random." "No, it's not! " argued the Receptionist. 'Well, okay that's weird but let's do this!' thought Jamie. She rolled the dice onto the floor, it just kept spinning and spinning.
Five minutes had passed, the dice was still spinning. How was this possible? They all eagerly stared at the dice. "This is some kind of trick, isn't it? Or maybe, it was the way you spun it Jamie? No, that would be impossible, " Vanessa shouted surprised. "I'm afraid it isn't, " muttered the Receptionist who, by her name tag, is called Lucy. "There was a time when the dice spun for a whole thirty minutes." Vanessa was about to reply but the dice was slowly beginning to wobble from side to side until it finally came to a stop.
What house do you think Jamie is in? And what house do you think Vanessa is in? Next Chapter will be long.
