Chapter XI: Guilt

"You know Malia is going to be upset, and when she finds out we did this without her," said Mareth.

"What is this again?" Jack Arlo asked.

"Jack Arlo, you're just here to carry shit. Sit back and be quiet." Tenko spoke at his rearview mirror in order to look Jack Arlo in the eyes. "And I have something that will cheer her up.

Tenko and his pack were on a trip to the bay to sell the drugs that he wanted rid of. The pack was back by sunrise. That's also when Jack Arlo tasted his first fist from an Alpha.

The Omega was on the pavement with a blood-soaked mouth.

"Jack Arlo. you are a cop. You tell the pack, cop things. If you can't do that, I have no use for you. Do you understand?" Tenko reprimanded the Omega for neglecting his duties.

"Now, keep tabs on the FBI, rub shoulders with the Sheriff. Do your job to the best of your abilities, Jack Arlo. For fuck sakes, use the abilities that I gave you. Don't make me take them back."

Tenko's red eyes shined, and his voice was nearly a low rumble. Jack Arlo could feel the supernatural pressure crawl up his spin and squeeze him like a boa crushing its prey.

"Be better," Tenko ordered. The pressure then vanished once Tenko turned away to leave.

As Mareth and Tenko left. Tenko called an old contact. "Deputy Clark. Do you want to make some extra cash?"

-----------------------

Tenko was driving Mareth back home, and the truck was silent most of the way when Mareth attempted to change the mood by turning on the radio.

Thirty seconds into a song, Tenko leaned forward and turned it back off. The couple had stopped at a red light. Mareth audibly sucked her teeth and performed an overdramatic sigh as she shifts in her seat.

Tenko showed no reaction as she peeked over her shoulder. Mareth frowned and finally asked, "Why do you have to be so difficult?"

"Because my mind isn't simple.' he replied.

"Well, mine is." Mareth shifted again to face Tenko. "Walk me through it."

Tenko knitted his brow apprehensively. "I don't understand?"

"When's the last time that we talked?" she asked.

"Yesterday." He replied.

Mareth nodded. "Good. Good." She repeated. "Now, let's keep this pace."

"You are an Alpha, right?"

"Yes."

"Who is apart of your pack?"

"Malia, Mareth, Melissa, and Jack Arlo."

"What is Mareth's purpose?" Mareth figured a third-person reference would help her get her desired effect.

"My emissary. She advises me."

"There are many druids. Why her?"

"She's a wonderful personality. Smart, funny, diligent, strong, beautiful--"

"You think she's beautiful?"

Tenko chuckled and glanced over at Mareth. He had no idea what game she was playing, but he carried on. "exceptionally beautiful."

Mareth gushed then asked, "How'd you two meet?"

Tenko suddenly became solemn. Mareth became more attentive and wondered why his attitude change.

"Your--"

"Her." Mareth corrected him.

Tenko looked over at Mareth, then pulled over to the side of the road. He put the truck in Park then turned it off a bit aggressively. He then shifted to face Mareth and said, "Her sister and my girlfriend were murdered. She thought it was my fault... She was right."

Tenko felt a hot sensation in his eyes and didn't even dare blink as he tried to maintain his composure. Mareth looked at him with a bewildered expression as she wasn't expecting what Tenko had said.

"I went against my instincts and left Derek to hunt Peter. He told me that his sister was killed and that he was by himself. I should have helped him. The night that Lacy and Aria died, I was at home. I should have been with them, Or with Aria, and they would have never been in the woods. Peter killed them to taunt me!" Tenko's heart racing, and his eyes turn red with fox slits. He was losing control, and Mareth knew it.

Mareth quickly put her knees in the seat then reached out to calm Tenko.

"I'm sorry, Mare. I'm so sorry."

Mareth pulled him into her breast as she held him. Mareth soon released the tears that Tenko fought as she told him it wasn't his fault.

Tenko sniffled and apologized again. " You're all alone because of me."

Tenko's large arms wrapped around her slim waist and hugged. He hugged Mareth as if forgiveness would come if he just held her tight enough.

Mareth then felt her blouse moisten. "T. Stop. Please stop," she urged as her embrace also tightened.

"I will never blame you for what happened to Lacy." Mareth had a troubling time speaking. Tenko was crying and it broke her heart. She had never thought and never wanted to see him in such a way.

And to make things worse, it was all for her sake.

"I love you, Tenko." Mareth sniffled again. "You are the reason I'm not alone. You, Malia, and Nikita, you're all I'll never need. "

Tenko raised his head from her chest to the cradle between her neck and shoulder as he said. "It feels wrong."

"Never." she declared. " A feral dog killed my sister. Not you. Just let me love you, and everything else will resolve itself. I don't like the distance you put between use when I get too close. And if that's because of Lacy's death, I need you to let it go."

How could he let it go while Peter was still alive? How could he accept that Mareth had no sister because Peter used her as a calling card? How could--.

Tenko's mind went blank. His eyes were opened wide as he stared into Mareth's chestnut-colored eyes. Her soft pink lips were gently pressed against his. Mareth stared back at him with gleaming anticipation. The lingering trails of tears still present on her small rosy cheeks.

Frozen in time, Mareth and Tenko watched each other, watch the other. Tenko remembered Mareth sitting at her kitchen table with her hair in a messy bun, Wearing loose beige sweats and a tight cropped tank top.

He remembered her words as if she was telling them to him again. "I need to know you're with me. That you're just as worried about not seeing me again as I am about you."

There was a time and place for everything. Right now, Tenko had to be with her. Tomorrow or any other day is when he would settle his guilt and no longer at the expense of Mareth. So, he walked her across that finish line that he kept her away from for so long.

Tenko leaned forward and kissed Mareth with as much passion as he could muster. Mareth was a lot more petite than Malia. The way she felt in his arms, her slender fingers combing his hair, and the way her small lips sucked his tongue.

It was all new and different, becoming fuel to the fire that Tenko no longer tried to contain.

Mareth soon found her way onto Tenko's lap, straddling him in the drivers, only breaking the oral entanglement to breathe.

Tenko suddenly pulled her back as he took in her beauty with a hungry smile. From her narrow hips, up her torso, and slowly around supple elfin breasts, his hands caressed and intentionally thumbed her pert nipples, drawing out a shallow rapturous moan.

Off came her satin peach blouse, when Tenko was ready to see more than her pleasured expressions. But her horny tits were too much as he leaned forward to lick her erect nipple with his rough tongue before devouring her.

Mareth his engorged cock through his boxer has she rolled her hips for a second source of sensation. But her body abruptly jerked when Tenko bit down on her large pink nipple, then slightly pulled.

Mareth squeezed Tenko's head while she whimpered, and her legs shook. Her pussy convulsed, and her morning dew trickled from her petals as she blossomed in Tenko's lap.

Mareth exhaled deeply, followed by slow, deep breaths. It was the first time she had ever had an orgasm from stimulation solely from her tits. It was a new wonder to her.

Tenko sniffed the air and savored her sweetness. Mareth giggled, then leaned down to taste his lips once more.

" You're awake now. We should get started," said Tenko.

With a beautiful display of contortionism, Mareth removed her pants and panties. She now felt Tenko's hot rod pressed against her tiny sex. Tenko gave her an encouraging nod. Shen then rose and griped Tenko's cock to use as she pleased. Stroking it, lathering it with her sticky nectar. And just as she began to tease and fuck herself with its enlarged tip...

Tap Tap Tap.

Tenko and Mareth looked towards the window and saw Sheriff Stilinski. Mareth sighs and asks, "You didn't hear him?"

Tenko smirked. "I use hoping he would get close enough to see, then leave. I guess someone needs to uphold the law in the place."

"Ahhh! Fuck.." Mareth cursed as she grabbed her blouse to cover herself.

"We're leaving, Sheriff! Thanks for the warning!" Tenko shouted through the rolled-up window.

Sheriff Stilinski shook him as he walked away. When he thought he was far enough, he chuckled to himself and said, "What I would give to be young again."

Tenko then laughed to himself and thought Stiles should help his dad find someone.

"You should come to the Manor with me."

Mareth fell into the passenger seat as she put her blouse back on. "I shouldn't," Mareth replied. "I have to go see a patient and then go to the Martins to see Lydia."

"Lydia? Patients?" Tenko asked as he pulled his boxers to his waist.

"Yes. You bit Lydia for a reason. I wanted to check on her progress." Mareth explained while slipping into her panties.

"I'm already doing that. Besides, I think I might need someone more substantial."

"Substantial?"

"Yes. Lydia is okay, but it has been months, and her power still hasn't sublimated in the slightest. I can find another banshee. It may take some time, but I'll make it happen."

"Fine, but I was going with that ADA. I think I should still go and feel him out. If I don't like him, you shouldn't turn him."

"The ADA... Just figure out this Darach thing... I've been thinking."

"About?"

"The Kungai Tak..."

-------------------------

The next day, Tenko was leaving his second-period class when Boyd and Isaac stopped him.

"Hey, Derek is sending Cora to watch Lydia. She has this thing going on with Aiden. But The Alphas marked Derek."

"Get to the point, Boyd." Tenko interrupted him. Tenko didn't really like high school. The kids had too many scents: sex, drugs, and just poor hygiene or overcompensation with perfume. Not to mention the noise. Ever since Tenko manifested his fourth tail and gained Beastial Transformation, he seemed more fox than human.

"Issac and I are going to go protect him. You watch out for Cora. She's just as explosive as Derek." Said Boyd.

"I knew coming back to school was a bad idea." Tenko huffed. "Fine, go ahead. I'll keep an eye out, but tell Derek to kill them all. No quarter. "

Teko had plans for the Alpha's, but he didn't want to see Derek die. He barely survived the first time.

For the better part of the day, the school was a peaceful place. Tenko then caught a familiar scent. Creeping around the halls. After he excused himself, he spotted the Hale girl pulling the fire alarm. As students rushed from class and teachers ushered them out of the school, Cora moved towards an opening door and blocked Lydia's path.

"You don't have very good taste in guys, do you?" she asked as she stepped in the room and closed the door behind her.

Tenko leaned against the wall and listened through the door.

"Is there a problem?" Lydia asked.

"Yeah, Derek would like to kindly ask you to stop seeing Aiden, which means that if I catch you with him again, I'm not going to pull the fire alarm. I'm going to pull your tongue out of your head."

"Sweetheart, my last boyfriend was a homicidal lizard, so I think I can handle a werewolf."

Lydia tried to move but was immediately stopped when Cora grabbed her forearm with supernatural strength.

Lydia lightly gasped and told Cora to let her go. Tenko didn't worry as he knew stiles had already entered the room.

"I said--"

"Let go." Stiles finished Lydia's demand. "I said, let go."

As the two girls parted, Tenko walked through the door. "Stiles. It's been a while, friend."

"You." Cora sneered.

Tenko ignored her as he kept his eyes on Stiles. "You don't fear wolves. Mareth must be teaching you well. "

"I can hold my own," Stiles replied with a smirk. "I didn't believe you were back when Scott said it."

"Well, here I am. But for different reasons. Cora's mine." Tenko declared with a straight face.

"No one touches Lydia," Stiles replied with dead eyes.

Stiles had a different aura around him. Tenko knew that Stiles was firmly planted into the world of the supernatural. Even as a human, Stiles refused to be bullied.

"Such a shame, Peter didn't bite you. You're really rising to the occasion." Tenko spoke the truth of his observations.

"I have to... Scott's a little slow on the draw." Stiles kept to the truth.

"Oh, I know. Cora, I think you should apologize to Lydia." Tenko advised her as he maintains eye contact with Stiles.

"You're scared of Humans?" Cora asked insultingly.

"I respect Stiles," he replied. He then looked at Cora with his Alpha eyes. Cora flinched then cleared her throat.

"I apologize, Lydia. I didn't mean to put my hands on you." she stammered.

Tenko smiled. "See, we're all friends."

Stiles smiled, and the two men embraced each other.

"You know Mare doesn't tell me shit about you," said Tenko.

"She never told me you were coming back either." Stiles chuckled.

"Fucking Druids. You look good."

"Me? look at you. I'm guessing that trip went well. How's your mate?"

The two guys chopped it up. Lydia and Cora looked confused as to what the fuck was happening.

"Working things out. But Malia is good. You know, I made a Beta of my own." Tenko began his recruiting light-heartedly.

"Shut the front door. Wolf or fox?" Stiles asked, genuinely curious.

"Wolf. So, how about it, Stiles? I'm offering you the bite. You deserve it."

Lydia and Cora were stunned by Tenko's offer. But Stiles could only think about Scott.

"No, I can't accept that offer. Maybe sometime in the future." Stiles politely rejected him.

"Whenever you are ready."

Stiles smiled and gave a grateful nod.

Sometime later, Stiles, Lydia, Cora, and Tenko sat in the chemistry lab as Stiles pulled out a Ouija Board. He had explained that Morrell suggested that Lydia had the power to find Deaton, who had been kidnapped by the Darach.

"A Ouija Board?" Lydia asked, unamused.

"Also called a spirit board, and it's worth a shot," said Stiles.

"A shot in the dark." Lydia quipped as her skepticism took over.

"Could you just try it, please? Let's not forget who this is for -- Scott's boss, the guy who has saved our collective asses on more than one occasion."

"Oh, wait, should we all do this?" Cora asked.

"Yeah, yeah," Stiles replied.

Everyone touched the pointer on the board but looked atTenko as he held back.

"I'm a kitsune. You don't want me to touch that."

Lydia and Cora put on questioning looks.

"Ahh. right." Stiles pointed at Tenko. He then looked at the ladies and said, "let's get started."

The trio began to focus.

"Where is Dr. Deaton?" Stiles asked the board.

The trio waited for a moment. Stiles and Cora then shifted their gaze to Lydia.

"What?" she asked.

"Aren't you going to answer it?" asked Stiles.

Lydia thought for a moment, then said, "Oh, I don't know the answer. I thought we were asking some sort of spirit."

"Well, do you know any spirits?" Cora asked seriously.

Lydia was nearly flabbergasted. Tenko snickered. Things only got more amusing for Tenko when Stiles pulled out Deaton's keys. He wanted Lydia to get a feel for Deaton's energy. Though Lydia failed to take any of it seriously.

She was then given a pencil and tried her luck with automatic writing. Which also failed as Lydia began to draw a tree. As Stiles was growing in frustration. Lydia said some useful.

"I don't know why you're bothering with me, anyway. When it's obvious you should be talking to Danny."

"Danny, why?"

"Because...Last night, he was a target. But it wasn't a sacrifice." Scott entered the room, holding his wounded shoulder.

Tenko chuckled. "Boy, you still haven't learned anything. Next time you fight Deucalion, he's going to do more than poke a hole in your shoulder."

"What!" Stiles and Cora exclaimed

"You knew I was fighting, and you didn't help."

Tenko pointed at Cora, "I'm here for her. Not you."

The group looked at Cora, and she also seemed a bit confused.

"Don't think too much, pup. We have business to handle."

The bell then rang, signaling the end of school.

"We need to get to Danny. A guy that I actually like enough to help." Tenko spoke as he walked out of the classroom.

"But isn't Danny still in the hospital?" Cora asked as she followed Tenko out of the class with the rest of the group close behind.

"Yeah. That's where we're going right now," said Stiles.

"I'll meet you there," said Scott.

Stiles asked why and Scott showed a text from Allison. Stiles scoffed, he didn't hate the girl, but he hated her and Scott together.

-----------------

Later that night, the universe brought things together as Scott and Stiles both found supporting pieces of evidence.

Cora, Tenko, Lydia, Stiles, and Scott were all at the animal clinic. Putting together their findings. Stiles had found Danny's homework on Telluric Currents --geomagnetic energy fields that flow through the earth in countless currents all over the world. Sometimes affected by lunar phases.

Currents reflected on a map that Scott got from Allison's dad's office. But Danny also drew a map of his own. In far more detail so that the group could take a closer look. The group discovered that the kidnappings and sacrifices all took place along Telluric currents. But it was Cora that pointed everyone to the bank that Deaton was being held in.

As everyone was packing up. Cora and Tenko got an SOS from Boyd.

-------

Tenko, Cora, Lydia, and Stiles tried to get to Derek as fast as possible.

Derek, Boyd, and Issac had formulated a plan to take on Kali in the Twins, but it didn't go as well as they expected. They had filled the loft with water and planned on putting live current through it. But the Alphas had cut the power, and Derek's pack was now on the losing end of a battle.

When Tenko and company arrived, things got complicated as Cora begged him to save Derek. But Tenko needed a reward. By saving Derek, Tenko would no longer be able to navigate the chaos from the shadows.

"Fine, but you do exactly as I tell you. I won't lose out because of Derek's recklessness."

Tenko pulled Cora along with him as he moved to the top floor. But no matter what effort they put in. The electric current traveled faster than they ever could. In the loft, Derek's plan only served to electrify himself and Boyd.

Kali took this moment of opportunity. The twins held out Derek's claws, and Kali dropped Boyd on them. Derek absorbed Boyd's power as the life left his body.

Kali then gave Derek to the next full moon as she left the loft. Tenko heard it all. He was angry that the Beta he wanted to turn Alpha was killed by such a weak bitch.

"Cora..." Tenko spoke as he stopped.

"Why are you stopping?" she asked.

"Rip her heart out," Tenko growled.

Tenko then walked at a slow pace. Kali was coming his way, Stiles and Lydia were running up from behind. Kali put on a smug face that Tenko obliterated when he threw a full forced electrified palm at her chest. Kali went ridged and fell to the ground. Her body twitched then relaxed as the shock put her to sleep.

Cora's cold blue eyes shined as she shifted. She thought a fight was about to happen, but Tenko's words echoed in her mind. 'Rip her heart out.'

Cora pounced and did just that. Her claws broke through Kali's rib cage, gripped her heart, then tore it out. Cora's eyes turned blood red as she roared at the Twins.

"Tell Deucalion 'I broke the deal'"

The Twins showed their fangs and blood-red eyes. Tenko Roared as he showed his claws, fangs, and four tailed fox avatar. The Twins then reached out to each other and prepared to merge.

Lydia quickly stepped in the middle. "Let it go! They killed one of ours, and we killed one of theirs. Isn't that enough killing for one night?"

"My thirst has been quenched. But the next time I see you two," Tenko referred to the twins, "I will strip you of your power and put you next to Kali to fertilize my lawn."

The twins looked at Tenko and then at Cora. Their eyes took on their human color and the boys brushed past to leave the building.

"Why did you let them go?" asked Stiles.

"Because Deucalion won't face three Alpha's." Tenko refrained from spilling the secret of Melissa's status. "With the twins, he feels equal. And as long as he has a play with the slightest chance of victory, he will continue. I want Deucalion, so if letting the twins go keeps him in play, then that what I'll do. Just watch this Jedi work young padawan."

Stiles chuckled. "That was a Star Wars reference."

"Damn straight."

"But you are no Yoda," said Stiles.

"Ehh, I consider myself more of a Sheev Palpatine." Tenko corrected him.

"That's kind of disturbing..." Stiles stared off into the distance as he imaged the similarities. They weren't dead-on, but Stiles could see the precursors as clear as day. It made him shiver.
