"Mom, Dad!" Elle called out on an early Saturday morning as she got out of her room. She went downstairs and headed towards the dining hall where she found her parents. Her Mom was cooking breakfast before they would go off to work in their own JBE Accounting Firm, the prestigious company in the whole country. "Good morning, Elle!" Mrs. Bess Smith greeted her with enthusiasm as she put the cooked bacon on a plate. "Good morning, Mom, Dad! Today, Drew will fetch me for a 1 week vacation at Ridgeland. "Yes it is today, I remember you told us few days ago, Elle," Mr. Jerry Smith intervened. "Just be careful okay and always turn on your phone," Mrs. Bess Smith reminded her, beaming. "Okay Mom, don't worry I'll be fine and Drew is with me, so nothing to worry about, right Dad?" she said convincingly, looking at her Dad for approval. "Of course my sweetie, your Mom and I trust you. And have fun there!" Mr. Jerry Smith said with an encouraging smile.
"Breakfast is ready!" Mrs. Bess Smith said. "Wow! That looks delicious, Mom." Elle said with a wide smile. She was the only child in the family. Her family was well-known in the Dale City, Chesterland. Even they were very rich, they lived a humble life and generous life. "After breakfast your Mom and I will leave for work today. This will be your allowance for your vacation," Mr. Jerry Smith said, handing her an envelope with $300. "Oh Dad, this is too much. Thank you so much, Dad!" Elle said, planting him a kiss on his cheek. "Not too much, Elle, but enough to enjoy your one-week vacation.," Mr. Jerry Smith said, smiling. "Your Dad is right," Mrs. Bess Smith added. "You enjoy with Drew, okay. We gotta go now, Elle. Take care," Mrs. Bess said, hugging her tight. "Be safe and have a great day, Mom, Dad." Elle said, kissing them both before going upstairs. "Nanny Ann, if Drew comes, please tell her to wait for me in the living room," she said as she headed upstairs. "Okay, Miss Elle,"Nanny Ann said, smiling. "Thanks, Nanny." Elle replied. Nanny Ann took care of her and the family since her Mom was pregnant with her. She felt so grateful to the Smith's Family, for treating her like a family member too.
