Chapter 29 Weekdays

For the first weekdays of August, Elle Smith focused on her studies, just merely school then home and vice versa. She wanted to maintain her highest academic performance. Her dream to be a Psychologist had been instilled in her mind. She completed the list of invited guests on her upcoming birthday on September 25th. She felt excited but little nervous. Elle knew she had responsibilities to face as she would turn into a young adult. She had to be responsible for her actions in every situation she would face. And of course to preserve her virginity for the man she would spend her life with. "Mom," Elle knocked on her parents' bedroom door on a Friday evening. "Come in, sweetie," Mrs. Bess Smith ordered. "Hi Mom!" Here's the final list of my invited guests," she handed her the piece of paper. "Good job, Elle!" Mrs. Bess Smith said, looking at the list. "I'll give you the invitations as soon as possible. And for your 18 candles, roses and treasures, I'll send a tailor to the university to get their body measurements after your first class on Monday. What will be your color theme for the gowns, Elle?" Mrs. Bess Smith asked, sitting beside her on the bedside. "I want sky blue, Mom. How about my other classmates in Phoenix High, Mom? Most of them are not in Phoenix University. They're in Stanford College." Elle said. "The Debut in-charge will coordinate with the school. Don't worry Elle, everything is in the right direction. I already gave her the details on what to do. All you have to do is focus on your studies and don't worry about your birthday. Oh my baby is turning into a beautiful young lady soon. Study first okay!" Mrs. Bess Smith firmly commanded her. "Yes Mom, I will study my best to be a future Doctor." Elle reassured her Mom. "I'm proud of you, sweetie. "We are both proud of you," Mr. Jerry Smith intervened as he gently closed the bedroom door behind him. "Thank you Mom, Dad!" Elle said, smiling at them. "By the way, James Fisher invited me tomorrow after lunch," Elle hopefully told them. "Is Andrew coming with you? Mr. Jerry Smith asked. He sat on the bed with his back on the head board. "No Dad," Elle told them what James said and that Andrew refused the night invitation. "Andrew told me to change the time because he reminded me of our Saturday dinner ah I almost forgot. I apologize Mom, Dad." Elle said with a wide smile on her stand out beauty. "Andrew is always alert. I have no problem with that young boy." Mr Jerry Smith said. Elle smiled too. "Be careful always, Elle. And enjoy your friendly invitation with James tomorrow and be home by 5pm. Our dinner will be at 7pm," Mrs. Bess Smith said seriously. "Okay Mom. In my head already," Elle said playfully. "Good night, Dad, Mom! Sweet dreams." Elle said, kissing them on their cheeks. "Good night, sweetheart! Sleep straight. No phone in between sleep." Mr. Jerry Smith said. "Yes Dad. Sleep well," she said. She got out of their room and went directly to sleep on her bedroom.
