Chapter 43 The Fetcher

"Miss Elle, Sir Andrew is here." Nanny Ann said as she entered the dining room. "What's he doing here? We're supposed to meet in school." Elle asked. Mr. Jerry Smith smiled. "Dad, what's that smile for?" Elle asked, laughing. "I just smiled, Elle." But in his thought he concluded that Andrew was going to fetch her. "Fix yourself well, sweetie." Mrs. Bess Smith said. "Yes, Mom. I'll go ahead." Elle said. She stood up, walked towards the living room and saw Andrew sat on the bar. "Hey, Drew. Why are you here this early?" Elle said. She stood near him. "Hi Elle. We'll go to Phoenix together." Andrew said, smiling. "Why suddenly like that, Drew?" Elle asked. She rolled her eyes. "Maybe, he just want your safety, Elle." Mr. Jerry Smith cut in. "Good morning, Uncle! Yea, you're right, Uncle." Andrew agreed smiling. "Whatever! I'll just go upstairs." Elle said. She turned around without waiting for their replies. "I'm glad you have initiative to do this, Andrew. Elle has someone like you who can look after. You know, her mom and I are so busy that we cannot even bring her to school by ourselves. Thank you for being always there for Elle, for always with her, Andrew." Mr. Jerry Smith said in a serious tone. "It's my pleasure, Uncle Jerry. You don't have to worry. Elle is always protected. She's always in good hands." Andrew replied seriously. "Always take care of our own Elle, Andrew." Mr. Jerry Smith said, patting his shoulder. "I will, Uncle." Andrew said.

"Now, let's go!" Elle said as she reached downstairs. "We'll go ahead, Dad. Where's Mom?" Elle asked. "In the kitchen, sweetie." Mr. Jerry Smith replied. Elle went inside the kitchen and said, "Mom, we have to go. See you later. I love you, Mom!" Elle said. "Take care, sweetheart. I love you too." Mrs. Bess Smith said. She hugged and kissed her forehead.
