Selfish Desires

Opening my eyes, this beautiful place never failed to steal my heart. Euphoria. Although it isn't real, this place is where i belong. A place that doesn't exist, a place made for someone who shouldn't have existed in the first place.

I plucked some flowers on the ground and picked its petals one by one. It made me wonder, am i staying in this place for good now? Can this petals decide it?

No... "Can't i just stay here, forever?"

There's no doubt that i'm much happier here than the real world, so i hope that i did die. So i can stay, so i can be with---

"Kean! You're here!"

"Sasha!" As soon as i heard her voice, i turned around to see her and quickly went up to hug her. "Woah, are you alright Kean?"

"I've never been better."

"What do you mean?"

"Hmm, let's just say that something good happened once in my life." I told her.

"That must be nice."

"It is." I smiled thinking that i can finally be with Sasha forever.

While we were taking a walking on the shore near her house, Sasha clinged to my arm. "I wonder sometimes, what's it like to have parents? Or siblings?"

Her question surprised me a bit. "I don't know." I told her.

Asking me about family would be useless, though i do have siblings and a mother but i never even got to know them that much. They were all so distant all my life.

I couldn't even remember bonding with them at all.

"Really!? Didn't you have a family or something?"

A smile formed on my lips, i stared at her face and shook my head. "They were never a family to me. Well, we all are related by blood but that's all there is to it."

She became sad of what she learned about me. "But why? Don't you get along with them? Or---

"They never cared for me in the first place."

"Is that so... you know Kean, i... i can be your family." She said and smiled sweetly.

This is what she does best, she kept litting up my dull world. I held her hand. "Thank you, Sasha. You never fail to make me happy."

"And i hope i never do."

As we continued to walk, i saw something at the other side of the shore. Like there was someone standing there looking at us. I thought me and Sasha are the only ones who exists in this world. "Sasha, who's that?" I asked her.

She also looked that way and said, "What do you mean? I don't see anybody there."

I looked back again, and it was gone.

Weird, i must be imagining things.

"Hey, i think we should go back now. We have to make lunch!" Sasha reminded.

And as we got back in her house, she lets me help in the kitchen to make food again. Just like last time. It was fun, and i was really happy realizing that i'll spend the rest of my life here for eternity.
