Strange feeling

A new morning was coming up in Domino, and with it, my eyes were opening lazily. It was Saturday, but in Tokyo we always had the habit of getting up early, it is part of it. On weekends, I usually helped my grandfather in his store, or go out with my friends, to duel, watch games at school or some similar walk. Today in particular, I wouldn't do any of that. Téa had been ill for some time already, with a fever, and stayed at home, so our walk had been canceled.

So, I would stay at home, probably studying, watching TV and stuff. So, I decided to stop staying in bed in the morning and get up to take a shower. When he leaves the bathroom, the first beams of sunlight already penetrate the room, letting the morning light brighten the room. I sighed and heard my grandfather enter the room with a tender smile.

- Yugi! - He called - Already awake? How wonderful. - He smiled widely - Come have breakfast, I prepared great pancakes.

I gave him a slight smile. My grandfather was always very good people, and the family closest to me.

- Alright grandpa. I'm on my way.

He walked out onto the stairs and I could hear him saying: Don't delay. I finished dressing up, pasting on ordinary clothes, and went down the stairs in an animated way. The day seemed extremely harmonious. I had my coffee quietly, with my grandfather looking at the newspaper and commenting.

- They are good? - He referred to the pancakes and my huge smile while eating them.

- Fantastic. Could be a grandpa cook. - I smiled exaggeratedly, letting my cheeks flush a little

He laughed gracefully and closed the newspaper.

- Well, don't say nonsense Yugi, you know that ...- And then his voice was interrupted by the ringing of the phone. - Well, who is it ... - Said in a whisper turning to the phone.

He left the newspaper on the table and stood up, heading for the device that touched the other end of the room. When he finally reached him, he answered and hung up for a few seconds. He turned to me with a slight smile and said:

- Yugi, was Téa's mother. She said that the girl is better, and if you would not like to visit with others.

- Ah, is Téa better? - I smiled slightly and nodded positively, standing up - That's great. I'll call Joey and Tristan right now ...- He said putting the last pancake in his mouth and getting up.

My grandfather laughed and scratched his head. He leaves, happily climbing the stairs. I sat on the bed and took out my cell phone to warn them both about visiting Téa. I talked quickly with them, and the two agreed. They would pass by my house and from here we would go to her house, and we would take the opportunity to take her something.

I waited about 40 minutes and my grandfather called me saying that Joey and Tristan were waiting at the door. I ran down the stairs and said goodbye to my grandfather, leaving the house. Joey gave a huge smile and pointed a thumbs up with his thumb. Tristan just smiled, hands in his pants pocket.

- What's up Yugi? Come on, we're late. - Joey said in a playful tone as always

- It's totally your fault Joey ...- Tristan said making a face.

The blonde got angry, putting his fist in front of his friend.

- Quiet Tristan, if it weren't for you and your shortcuts we wouldn't be that late. - Said the same, looking directly at friend.

- Hey, hey. - I gave an embarrassed laugh and scratched my head, gaining their attention - Come on, Téa is waiting.

They finally settled down, and we decided that I would decide which way to go. We got there after a few minutes, and knocked on the door, being welcomed by Téa's mother. She smiled and opened the door, inviting us in. Téa's house was well organized and very well decorated, which none of us boys could have in our own rooms. I was the most organized, though.

- Téa is in the room, boys, why don't you go and see her while I prepare a juice for you? - She said with a slight smile, while pointing to the room ahead.

We nodded and headed for her room. Téa was in bed, sitting, fiddling with her cell phone. When he heard Joey's shrill voice, he looked up and smiled cheerfully. She looked pale and a little weak, but she was much better than before.

-Téa !!! - Joey shouted raising his arms and going to the girl, in order to hug her.

- Joey, stop yelling. - Tristan scolded him, but Téa smiled, as if to say: Leave it, leave it.

- Ah, guys, you came. - She smiled graciously.

- Téa, how are you ??? - I smiled tenderly approaching the girl.

- Ah Yugi. - She gave a light hug - I'm better. It sure was a terrible fever I got ... but I'm fine now.

- You gave us a big scare. - Joey sat on the bed, giving her friend a smile.

The laughter and harmonious conversations continued until the afternoon. After that, we said goodbye to Téa, hoping it would be better until Monday.

We left there and went to my house, where I said goodbye Joey and Tristan, finally entering the house. I talked to my grandfather, helped him with some chores and later in the evening I finally went to my room. I sat down on the bed in a thoughtful way, while I touched my hair lightly, fixing the golden locks, and smiling slightly. Long thoughts, remembering Téa's smile. I was happy to see you better.

- Looks like you're happy, Yugi. The thick voice sounded through the room.

I looked up quickly and saw Atem sitting on the bed, looking at me with that serene expression he had. His lilac eyes penetrated me with intensity, as if they wanted to take the truths from my soul. His arms and legs crossed, in order to make his posture give him the impression of someone patient. Its spectrum sometimes gave me the honor of grace, coming out of the millennium and materializing outward with its own body.

- Ah, Atem. - I gave a childish smile - Yeah, just happy that Téa is better ... she really was very bad on Wednesday. I'm glad you held her when she passed out.

He looked away calmly, now looking at the wall.

-Yes, I was worried about her. She passed out suddenly ... after all, do you know what she had? - He turned his eyes to me.

- Ah, didn't you hear us? - He shook his head- They say it was a virus. Fever is a common symptom of this type of disease, so I think it is very likely that it was. - I pouted.

- I understand. - He smiled slightly - You must be tired. You better sleep, right?

At that moment, I wasn't exactly gone by the impact that his graceful smile made on my eyes, or by the sly voice I left his lips, but my face flushed. I felt a strange sensation when facing Atem. I stood there watching him, not realizing that I had not responded. He frowned a little and looked at me.

- Yugi ??? - His voice sounded more authoritative, taking me out of my reverie.

I blinked my eyes quickly, startled. My cheeks flushed, and I felt my face get a little hot.

- A-ah ... yes. Of course .... I'll be right away, I was just thoughtful. Anyway ... good night Atem. - I said, hiding and smiling.

He smiled and said good night, albeit a little low and with a confused face, returning to the millennium. I stayed there for a while, I tried to put that aside, it was just a strange feeling. I think it is common sometimes for our feelings to be stunned or confused with other feelings. But I can swear that in a moment Atem looked so beautiful ... there, in the moonlight, with colored hair moving slightly with the breeze coming in through the window.

Perhaps my head was very harmonious and happy to see Téa. And that's it. It could only be, after all it is Atem, right? It was just my head playing tricks on me in the middle of the night. I turned off the lamp and decided I was going to sleep. Enough of those impetulating thoughts. I laid my head on the soft pillow, and relaxed my eyes, letting them close.

I slept easily. I was tired for the day, so it didn't take more than about 5 minutes for me to fall asleep completely and immerse my mind in dreams. And so my night had been very calm. And I woke up fully prepared and renewed the next day, but not forewarned enough for what was to come.
