Growing up

When Azrek and his mother returned to the entrance of the Sitri's Estate, his father was already waiting there with an understanding smile as he looked at his son.

He knew that his wife had arranged a meeting with Sitri's mother-daughter pair in the hope to get her son engaged, and he like his son was also against it at the beginning.

Firstly, his son was a prodigy and thus would have plenty of choices in the future when it comes to marrying, and secondly, although it wasn't rare, he too felt that five years old was still a bit young to get engaged, but sadly, before leaving the gathering, his wife had sent him a glare that made him take a step back and let her do as she wanted, thus he had been talking with the Sitri's head while their wives were playing matchmaker.

As he looked at his wife, he was surprised to see that she had a slight frown on her face and looked harshly at their son.

'Hmm maybe he did something during the meeting...' Solas knew his son very well, he would always do as he wanted when it comes to matters relating to himself, thus it was highly probable that he refused or at least postponed this discussion.

He decided not to talk about it before they returned home.

"Welcome back." That was the only thing that Solas said and he was only replied with a nod by both his wife and son.

With a wry smile, he teleported all of them back to the Dantalion's Territory, directly into the castle.

Azrek let out a sigh when he arrived back to the castle, but it wasn't a relaxed one, he knew full well what was going to happen to him in the next hour.

As predicted, when they arrived back at the castle, Azrek was scolded by his mother for a full hour before he was sent back to his room.

When he exited the room, his father sent him another encouraging smile and patted his shoulder two times before going into the room where his mother was still alone.

Azrek understood that what he did tonight was disrespectful to his mother as he had talked back to her in public, but he didn't have a choice, being engaged to a five years old wasn't something he could accept.

As for Sona, she wouldn't suffer anything since he was the one who proposed to postpone the engagement, and since they were only five years old it wouldn't hurt her pride too much.

The only thing that Azrek felt fortunate about was that the meeting wasn't made know to the public, if it had been the case, he would have been forced to accept even if he didn't want to, otherwise if he refuse, it would have humilitaed both his Dantalion clan and the Sitri Clan.

'At least it came to an end, going out to party like this while I'm this young is exhausting, I won't attend the next few gathering since Sairaorg will probably be sent away before the next one...' Azrek had already decided of that since he saw the attitude of the other kids.

As for his confrontation with Ryser, neither his parents seemed to care about that on one side, it was only a confrontation between kids, and although he had humiliated Ryser in front of everyone, it wasn't as if it had never happened before, and on the other side, his father had told him that he didn't fear the Head of the Phenex Clan, for healing, it was something that the Dantalion Clan had knowledge of, thus the Tears of Phenex while rare weren't something they could do without.

Azrek directly went to sleep after he entered his room, it had been an exhausting day for him who hadn't gone out for more than a year.

Since that days, a month had passed, he had apologized to his mother the next morning and she had since then returned back to her cheerful demeanor.

Azrek went back to his previous schedule, deepening his understanding of chess and reading books in the library.

Although he didn't make much progress in his search for a way to continue training, he had been able to acertain that if he controled his demonic energy well enough, he would be able to stimulate the innactive parts of his brain without any risks of creating a new personality.

Thus, as he went to his bed, Azrek began his preparation.

'Alright, I'm in my peak condition, my Demonic Energy is full and my physical condition optimal, it's time to begin.' Even though it wasn't concidered as dangerous from the knowledge he gathered, he was still a little tense as he began to direct his Demonic Energy gently toward his brain.

Soon he was able to feel his brain through his Demonic Energy and he quickly located the multiples innactive parts.

For it to not create a new personality, his sub-brain needed to be activated on the same level as the main one, thus he began to slowly make it active.

It was a strange sensation, as if ants wre crawling on his brain, but it wasn't too bad and was easily supportable.

After some time, the sub-brain had reached the same level as the main one in terms of activity, making him see things a lot clearer, but he didn't plan to stop here, he wanted his whole sub-brain to focus on memory storage and calculation.

Thus he continued to make some adjustements to his sub-brain, he continued very slowly to not cause any damage.

After another hour had passed, it was as if a new organ had been born in Azrek's body, firstly, he was able to access any memories he had in this body instantly, and secondly, he felt that his calculation speed had skyrocketed compared to previously.

'So this is how it feel to use one's brain at full capacity...' Azrek had a large smile on his face as he felt the change of his surrounding, it was an incredible feeling. Of course, the sub-brain would only be activated when he wanted it, Azrek had done so in order to not surcharge his brain causing enormous damage to it.

Directly after succeding, Azrek went to sleep for the night, he felt exhausted after having carefully manipulated Demonic Energy for hours.
