The Yellow Flash

After three full jumps, the group lands in a town called Tuon. Small like Minst it was, with a slightly better look to the homes and buildings. Holly walks up to a building with a yellow streak above the door and pushes her way inside. Inside was a rowdy seeming bar with folks yelling and shouting and fighting, drinking and eating, watching and talking. Holly weaves her way to a back door and motions the group to follow her.

Inside this room a man in yellow was waiting. "Holly! How did it go? Oh I see we got a big group today. How are you all doing? I'm Charles and I'm third in command of The Yellow Flash. Nice to meet you all." Charles was a squat man in his middle twenties, squat but firm. "You'll get most of your orders from me and Max. Chief Jack stays mostly to himself but he'll want to meet you all."

Holly stepped to Charles and planted a kiss on his lips, "My love, you should have gone back, you know I have to wait a day for my power to come back for another jump." She turned to the others, "Make yourselves comfortable, we have to stay here tonight."

Frost and Franny watch as the other four head to the two bunks and set themselves up. There was only two bunks and a single bed in the room. Holly sees their hesitation and walks up to them, "Sorry we don't usually get more than two or three of you each year. To get six is almost unheard of for our clan. I'll get a single room for you two to stay in."

"It's ok, I'll sleep on the floor. We do every night at home." Franny looked up at Holly innocently.

"I'm fine as well, last night I slept at a window. Whenever fatigue hits me I'll rest." They all looked at Frost wondering at his tolerance.

"What are you wearing? That's a strange get up and you're all in black. We can't have that when you meet the chief tomorrow." Charles moves to the closet at the side of the room. He pulled out a yellow robe that came with a pair of yellow pants. The robe was shorter and better suited for Frost so he took them graciously. He was worried he'd have to wear the long robes everyone else was wearing. This fit him more like a gentlemen's coat and the pants he wore with them was a dull yellow and not as flashy as the robe, but fit as if made for him, not too tight but not fluttering about as he walked.

"Thank you sir, I was wondering if I'd get the chance to clean my clothes on this trip." Frost moved them to a pile off to one side of the room and took up station at a window overlooking a quiet town street. Pave stones for roads and buildings made of what looked like clay. 'Why am I here? What should I do? Should I just keep following along? I've made promises here I must keep now, I can't abandon Franny. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
