There's beauty in everything

After one hour had passed, Ying Xuan and Shi Weiwei walked out of the detention room.

Ying Xuan stretched as Weiwei said, "What do you want for dinner?"

Ying Xuan signed, "How about ramen?"

Shi Weiwei's eyes lit up, "Sure."

Ying Xuan signed again, "But I'm not really hungry right now."

Shi Weiwei nodded, "It doesn't matter if we're not eating in the cafeteria. What should we do?"

Ying Xuan: 'I don't really want to go back to dorms.'

Shi Weiwei: "Yeah. Me neither. How about we go to our spot."

Ying Xuan nodded and the two went to their spot in the secluded garden in the corner of the campus.

Upon reaching there, Ying Xuan took out her sketchbook and began to finish her painting that she had started in class. Shi Weiwei took out a book and began to read.

After some time, Weiwei looked towards Ying Xuan. Xuan had finished her painting and laid it out to let it dry. She was now writing something, her face scrunched up in concentration.

Shi Weiwei peered at the painting and said, "It's beautiful."

Ying Xuan looked up and smiled, before going back to her notebook again.

Shi Weiwei continued to look at the painting, though she had never really liked nights, this painting was making her fall in love with them.

Though it was just a night scene, there was something calming and relaxing in it. It felt like you had been very anxious before but as you looked at the moon and the stars, the reflection of them in the water, you felt all the negative thoughts draining out of you.

Shi Weiwei mumbled, "I never knew night could be so peaceful and beautiful."

Ying Xuan turned to the back page of the notebook she was writing and scribbled down, "There's beauty in everything. You just need to look carefully."

Shi Weiwei teased Xuan, "Look at you all philosophical. Hey, are you translating that first chapter?"

Weiwei's eyes had fell on the book in Xuan's hands. She had turned the notebook in her hands to see that Xuan was indeed doing that.

Ying Xuan nodded as she made sure her painting had dried before closing the sketchbook and keeping it in her bag. She then packed all her stuff and got up.

As the two walked towards the back gate of the campus, Shi Weiwei said, "I can help you with the translation. Though I'm not very good, I'm sure if we both work together, we could finish it by midnight."

Ying Xuan chuckled as she took out her notebook and thrust it towards Weiwei.

Shi Weiwei was dumbfounded as she looked at it, "You have already done half?!?! When??? Don't tell me you did this much during the one hour detention?"

Ying Xuan signed, "The chapter's not really difficult. It's just lengthy. Don't worry. I'll finish it."

After dinner, the two got back to the dorms and went into Xuan's room. Luckily, Xi was not there and the room was empty. Ying Xuan sat down on her table, put on a pair of headphones, and began to work. Shi Weiwei sat on the bed and took out her drama homework.

The two girls sat in silence, focusing on their own works. After about an hour and a half, Ying Xuan stood up and stretched.

Shi Weiwei looked up, "You're done?"
