Toast and scrambled eggs

When Ying Xuan walked out of the bathroom, Ying Xi was dressing up, wearing a white dress printed with pink flowers.

"What is with Xi and dressing up like an angel?" Xuan thought as she took advantage of the opportunity when Ying Xi was not hogging the mirror to quickly do her hair in a French braid.

Ying Xuan was feeling pretty refreshed today, so she chose to wear a red blouse and a flower patterned multi-colored skirt that ended mid-thighs.

After she was done, Xuan gave herself a look at the mirror over Ying Xi, who had begun her daily routine of dressing up as an angel, and hurried towards Weiwei's room.

As she entered, Ying Xuan saw that Shi Weiwei had already dressed up in a blue denim jumpsuit with a beige t-shirt underneath.

Ying Xuan signed, "Looking good."

Shi Weiwei blushed a little and said, "Thanks. Well, I guess it's no point telling you that. As you look good everyday."

Ying Xuan chuckled as Shi Weiwei put on white sneakers and left her short hair open, smoothing her bangs.

The two came out of the dorms and Shi Weiwei said, "We're early. What do you want for breakfast?"

Ying Xuan was feeling a little lazy, so she took out her phone and typed, "I really don't want to eat in the cafeteria. Besides, we have enough time today."

Shi Weiwei: "What are you thinking then?"

Ying Xuan: 'I'm really craving western breakfast today. If that's all right with you?"

Shi Weiwei tilted her head and said, "I've never had western breakfast. Well, there is a first time for everything."

Ying Xuan beamed as the two headed out of the campus. Ying Xuan had dreamt about her mother the previous night. She was missing her very much.

Though her mother was rarely home and Xuan had not met her since the 18th birthday of the twins, when she had taken off right after the party. But Xuan remembered that whenever her mother was home, she would make toast and scrambled eggs for breakfast, saying that she had never really gotten used to Chinese food.

She did not know when, but Ying Xuan had come to associate this dish with her mother, and whenever she was missing her, Xuan would start craving toast and scrambled eggs.

Ying Xuan and Shi Weiwei reached a western cafe and went in. Xuan sat at the table as a waiter came to take their order. Ying Xuan had already told Weiwei what she wanted, and Weiwei ordered two servings of each, with a latte for Xuan and a hot chocolate for herself.

During the meal, Shi Weiwei looked up to see Ying Xuan really enjoying the food. Though Ying Xuan was quite passionate about food, she never really ate much and her eyes had never before shone like this seeing any dish.

Ying Xuan looked up and signed, 'How is it?'

Shi Weiwei obviously could not fall in love with a cuisine she was tasting for the first time. But seeing Xuan's expression, she stuffed her mouth full and replied, "Great."

After breakfast, the two entered the campus and Weiwei began to walk towards the main building. Seeing that Ying Xuan was not coming, she turned around and looked at her, "You coming?"

Ying Xuan scratched her head.
