Flash J

Ying Xuan was exhilarated by the time the two reached whatever destination Wei Jingyu had in mind.

She climbed down from the bike once Jingyu stopped, and had her arms around him as soon as her feet touched the ground.

Wei Jingyu chuckled as their helmets knocked together. "Is this a happy hug or a scared hug?" he asked.

Xuan pulled away and signed, 'It's happy! It's definitely happy!! Oh god Jingyu! I love you!!! Thank you for showing me what a great feeling riding a bike is!'

Wei Jingyu nodded, seeming a bit out of it.

'Anyway, what is this place?' Ying Xuan asked, looking around.

Jingyu blinked as he seemed to come out of some kind of a dream. He reached out and held Xuan's hand just as she was about to remove her helmet. He slightly shook his head once.

Xuan tilted her head in confusion but complied.

Wei Jingyu jumped down from the bike and put an arm around Xuan's shoulders. "It's a street racing spot. It's better not to get recognised in places like these. It isn't safe, with our identities." Jingyu spoke as he led Xuan forward.

Ying Xuan nodded and signed, 'But won't it be weird if we are wearing our helmets the whole time we're here.'

Wei Jingyu chuckled mysteriously, "We will probably be one of the less weird ones."

Xuan was confused but said nothing as Jingyu led her forward to a group of young men and women.

They all turned around to look at the two of them but frowned when they didn't recognise them. Obviously.

"Who are you?" a girl that couldn't have been older than Xuan herself and had weird piercings and tattoos on her body asked.

Ying Xuan looked around and saw that wearing a helmet, she and Jingyu were actually not the most weird ones here.

Some people wore horror masks, some had almost their whole face pierced, and Xuan could swear she saw a man with eye tattoos, though it was illegal.

"I assume you've heard of Flash J." Xuan was brought back to the conversation at hand by a voice. She frowned. This voice was oddly familiar but she was sure she hadn't heard it before.

The next instant, the voice spoke again, "He is here to race among you tonight." And Ying Xuan was very surprised to hear that voice coming from beside her.

She turned her head and it all made sense. The voice was oddly familiar because it was Wei Jingyu's. But she had been sure she hadn't heard it before as he was making his voice less deep and more throaty.

Collective gasps rung out through the crowd as Wei Jingyu's words sunk in.

Xuan was impressed that he was so well known. "How do we know you really are Flash J?" a man asked arrogantly.

"Give me a bike and I'll never return if you still have a doubt by the end of the race." Wei Jingyu replied, tightening his grip on Xuan's shoulders. He had seen a man leering at Ying Xuan's body.

Most of the people were impressed as a woman walked forward, swaying her hips.

"We would be glad to see your skills Flash." she said with a wink, "But for the next race you will need a partner. Choose from among us here. We all would be glad to assist you."
