I swear to Satan

Shi Weiwei then turned to walk towards where Xuan was. Seeing that the boys were not following, she turned and spoke, "Come on."

Once everyone was seated on the ground in a circle, Xuan looked at Weiwei. 'Will you tell us now?' she asked.

Shi Weiwei looked doubtfully at Mo Kio and Su Shaoyan, and the former said, "We can leave if you want." He was a lot calmer now that he saw that Weiwei was all right and didn't want to impose.

Weiwei let out a sigh and said, "No. You both should stay. I'm going to have to make an official announcement tomorrow anyway." Ying Xuan realized what this was about. Of course! How couldn't she have seen it before? Weiwei went to meet Mr. Yang and had been agitated ever since she returned.

"I swear to Satan if Xi has somehow sabotaged Weiwei's play, I am going to drop her from a building." Xuan thought to herself as Shi Weiwei began.

"I should probably start from the beginning." she said, "Mr. Yang asked me to come see him this afternoon. He said he had something to discuss. This is what happened when I went to see him."

Mr. Yang was sitting deep in thought when Shi Weiwei went to see him. His hands were folded on the table and he was staring at a piece of paper, as though reading it with much concentration, but his eyes were not moving. Weiwei hesitated at the open door, wondering if to ask permission or let herself in. She finally decided on the former and cleared her throat. This seemed to catch Mr. Yang's attention as he looked up. He let out a small smile upon seeing Shi Weiwei and said, "Ah. . . . . Miss Shi. Do come in."

Weiwei felt weird as she entered the office. Mr. Yang was always like an enthusiastic boy, rambling about scripts and plots and what-not, only once had she seen him like this. And a lot of students had received detentions for over a month that day. Weiwei's palms were already sweating as she took a seat. She noticed that the paper on Mr. Yang's desk was her own script and warning bells started to ring in her head.

"Miss Shi, you know how you are my star student. I've told you this numerous times that you are way better than those other kids only interested in rom-coms." Yang said, and Shi Weiwei had to focus her attention on him and she nodded.

"I also think that I told you what a brilliant script you wrote for this semester's final drama exam." Weiwei nodded again, not knowing what to say.

Mr. Yang took a deep breath and continued, "In fact, I was just now going through your script. I will have to say that you have written rather difficult characters, but your actors played them perfectly when I saw the play."

"Is there any problem with any of them?" Weiwei asked, guessing where Mr. Yang was going. He hurriedly shook his head and spoke, "I told you I thought they were rather good. Especially the main lead. It was one of the two Ying twins, was it not?"

Weiwei's face broke into a nervous smile.
