Too much attention

This led to Wei Jingyu bursting in laughter and Xuan losing control of her laugh too, joined in by everyone who knew sign language. More and more people began laughing as everyone came to know what Ying Xuan had said.

"Okay okay. Enough joking around, let's get something to eat." Lu Zuan said after a couple of minutes, wiping away tears of laughter from her eyes. "And then hit the dance floor!!" Shaoyan added, punching the air.

Everyone nodded and murmured excitedly as they made their way across the hall.

Lu Zuan shook her head with a sigh as she walked beside one of Jingyu's friends. "Is something not to the liking of the ice queen?" The guy said with a laugh, calling Zuan by the name Mo Kio had given her.

Zuan rolled her eyes. "Stop calling me that." she said, "It's just that . . . . we umm . . . . we're drawing too much attention." she finished with another sigh. "Well we are with two of the most prettiest people, who also happen to be the bad boy and the golden girl of the college. On top of being the ideal couple." The guy replied with a laugh.

"Well I suppose I should be used to it by now." Lu Zuan murmured to herself as her eye fell on Ying Xuan, walking with Wei Jingyu in the front of their group. She was talking to Shaoyan beside her and seemed oddly oblivious to all the gazes she drew. "I guess it's usual for her. She draws stares everywhere anyways." Zuan thought.

A few minutes later . . . .

Lu Zuan stood with a plate of sandwiches in her hand, getting weirdly uncomfortable by the second. She was also getting irritated as she couldn't make out why she was uncomfortable.

Zuan saw Ying Xuan walk towards her out of the corner of her eye and fixed her expression. 'Did you get a bug under your dress?' she signed, coming to a stop beside Zuan. Lu Zuan fake-laughed and was about to let the topic slide, but Xuan's face turned serious as she asked, 'Seriously Zuan, what's wrong? I've never seen you look so uncomfortable.'

"I don't think I've ever been this uncomfortable." Lu Zuan whined, fidgeting with her fingers. 'What's wrong? Is it the dress? We can get you out of it, I've got a few outfits in the dressing room.' Ying Xuan asked, immediately getting worried.

Zuan shook her head. "It's not the dress, it's umm . . . ." she fumbled for words. "I don't know why." finally deciding on the ones that best expressed her current feelings.

Xuan tilted her head to the side, not understanding. "It's nothing. Just me being weird." Zuan said with a wave of her hand. "You're probably used to it so you don't notice it, but I don't know, I feel like you're attracting a lot more stares today." she finished quickly, turning around to leave not giving Ying Xuan the time to reply.

But the golden girl of the college was way too fast for her. Ying Xuan grabbed her arm and turned Zuan around. Lu Zuan was ready to argue, but Xuan's words rendered her speechless. 'Are you really that blind or just an idiot?' she asked.

Lu Zuan: ". . . . . " Did this girl really just call her an idiot?

'Seems like it's both.' Xuan continued, rolling her eyes.

Lu Zuan: ". . . . . . "
