I think you looked cute

Xuan laughed at Jingyu in his teens and fan-girled over how cute he used to be. She then turned her attention to the other boy in the photograph.

She had met some of his school friends, and seen pictures and heard about the rest. Ying Xuan frowned as she couldn't match the boy's features with any of his friends she knew. The boy in the picture was a lot thinner than Wei Jingyu, and taller too. He seemed to have a nice physique that was clearly evident from underneath his school uniform.

The boy also was quite handsome, though obviously not as good looking as Jingyu, Xuan could see girls swooning over him, especially with the wolfish grin he had plastered on his face as he winked at the camera.

The boy in the photograph screamed confidence, whereas Wei Jingyu, Xuan's heart melted upon seeing the shy smile on his lips.

"Please don't break up with me. I was going through puberty." A voice brought Ying Xuan back to reality. She turned around and grinned upon seeing Wei Jingyu standing in his typical bad-boy pyjamas. He had on black joggers and a grey tank t-shirt, that showed off his shoulder and arm muscles quite obviously. He had also pulled his hair into a small ponytail, which showed off his neck, which Ying Xuan somehow found very sexy. Were necks supposed to be sexy?

Xuan's eyes made it to his face and she blushed upon seeing a smirk on Jingyu's face. He had noticed her checking him out. To hide her embarrassment, Xuan turned around and put the photo frame back carefully. 'I think you looked cute.' she signed, not looking at him.

"Oh yeah?" Jingyu said as he wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her from behind. Xuan gave a content sigh and leaned into his embrace as he continued, "Would you have dated me back then?"

Ying Xuan pretended to give this question a thought, and chuckled when Jingyu let out a small whine. 'Of course I would have dated you!!' she exclaimed turning around and signing. 'I would have dated you in a heartbeat Jingyu. You are one of the kindest, most genuine people I've met. So of course I would have said yes if you had asked me out in high-school.' Xuan continued, looking straight into his light brown eyes, shining in the moonlight coming from the window. (The two had forgotten to turn on the lights.)

She let out a smile and finished, 'Besides, I wasn't really the epitome of beauty in high school either.'

Wei Jingyu let out a dramatic gasp upon hearing this. "I refuse to believe that you could be anything but the epitome of beauty at any point of your life." he exclaimed. Xuan chuckled upon hearing this and shook her head.

'Who is the boy in the photo with you?' Ying Xuan asked. She was very curious about who was the person that she had no idea about. Wei Jingyu and the boy actually looked quite close in the photograph, then how come she hadn't met him, or seen another picture, or even heard about him?

Xuan frowned as Jingyu's face visibly darkened upon hearing this. She waited patiently for him to sort through his thoughts and give her an answer, but the answer never came.
