Jingyu shrugged with an evil smile on his face before picking up his phone and looking at it. Ying Xuan let out a small smile as Mo Kio turned to her with a puppy-like expression on his face. 'It's pretty obvious actually.' she signed, and Kio got the gist of it as his face turned into one of shock and horror.
Xuan hurriedly elbowed Wei Jingyu to translate before she began signing, 'Weiwei obviously doesn't know. You're not that obvious. It's just that you both hang out a lot with me and Jingyu, so I had, kind of, noticed, even before Jingyu told me.' 'I won't tell her.' Ying Xuan added, letting out a reassuring smile.
Mo Kio pressed his lips together and let out a small smile. 'Now, how about I take you up on that offer to walk me back?' Xuan signed. Kio chuckled and replied, "Of course my lady. Just extract a promise from your prince that he won't murder me." Ying Xuan turned to look at Wei Jingyu, who shrugged but didn't say anything. Xuan raised her eyebrows at him, and Jingyu sighed.
He turned towards Mo Kio and jabbed a finger into his chest, saying, "I promise not to brutally skin you alive." His face took on a menacing smile as he completed his sentence.
Mo Kio's eyes widened and he clutched at his heart, saying, "Betrayed. I've been betrayed." as Jingyu chuckled and walked over to Xuan. He wrapped one arm around her shoulders and spoke, "Meet me for breakfast?" "I'll get you your favorite coffee." he added, when Xuan pretended to think for a while.
Ying Xuan chuckled and nodded. Jingyu placed a light peck on the side of her forehead before waving her and Kio out of his dorm room.
Ying Xuan and Mo Kio walked in silence for a while. "It's nice to see him happy." Kio said, breaking the silence. Xuan smiled and dug her hands deeper into the pockets of the hoodie she had "borrowed" from Jingyu. "He's a good person. Just has a bit of a temper, that's all." he continued, and Xuan nodded, knowing better than most people how good of a person Jingyu was, and how bad his temper was.
"Anyway, any vacation plans?" he asked, changing the topic. Xuan shrugged and shook her head. She wasn't really looking forward to going home for the vacations. But she couldn't stay during the semester break for no reason. Maybe she would find some fashion internship during the break, but she hadn't started yet.
'Nothing yet.' she signed. "Shucks!" Mo Kio said, "I tried so hard to convince my parents to let me use out family vacation house during the break. I was planning on inviting everyone, but my parents. They said that it hasn't been that long knowing these people . . . . " Xuan zoned out as Mo Kio continued to talk.
A vacation with her friends? That didn't sound like such a bad idea! Ying Xuan said goodbye to Mo Kio at her dorm entrance. She had messaged Shi Weiwei to come out for his sake, telling her that she needed someone to distract the warden.
Shi Weiwei looked very adorable as she stood at the main gate in her panda pyajamas, letting out a huge yawn now and then.
