Bandits part 2

Young Elizabeth was pulled behind her mother as a witch tried to get to her, her mother was pulled by her hair as she tried to fight the witch off but the witch was too strong, the witch cackled grinning and showing her yellow gnarled teeth Young Elizabeth cried in fear as her mother was killed in front of her eyes the witch slitting her throat blood spurting out and soaking the witches grey dress the witch looked at Elizabeth walking toward her menacingly the blade she had used to kill her mother coated in her blood the witch laughing raised the knife ready to put the young girl in the same fate Young Elizabeth cowered in the corner screaming in fear she put her hands in front of her in panic as if her hands would protect her. Suddenly a gush of wind seemed to flow from her hands strong enough to knock the witch back and against the far wall knocking her unconscious, Elizabeth's dream was ending when she heard a male voice in the distance she woke up groggily realizing Joseph was calling her name and shaking her shoulder once she was fully awake she realized the room was full of smoke making her eyes water and making her cough now she was panicking she looked at Joseph who was in the same state of panic she threw the sheets off of her and asked him "what's going on?" she could barley understand him due to the fact that he had his nose and mouth covered with his blue robe his voice was muffled "bandits the bottom floor is up in flames there's too many of them we gotta get outta here" in a hurry she pulled on her purple robe and opened the door to see that the fire was coming up the stairs, within minutes it would engulf the top floor and them with it she ran back in the room and to the window but Joseph shook his head the window wouldn't open, now the door was on fire. Elizabeth didn't know what to do she was sure her and Joseph were going to die here thier fate being burned alive, just then Joseph pulled her close to him and said a few words a teleport hole enclosed them and they disappeared into it they were transported into the edge of the forest just outside the Inn which was engulfed in flame. Elizabeth looked at Joseph his forehead dripped with sweat and he looked exhausted just as they were wondering what do do next a bandit that was walking past the burning inn with a flaming torch in his hand placed the flame on the stable nearby the inn that usually held customers horses, luckily the stable was empty soon the stable was lit aflame and burning the fire licking at the wood as it burned the bandit dropped the torch and turned noticing the humans standing at the edge of the forest in a panic he rushed toward them pulling a dagger out of his sock once the bandit was within striking range he sliced the dagger in the air but Joseph dodged him pushing Elizabeth behind him making her stagger back and fall Joseph dodged another attack and punched the bandit square in the jaw grabbing the wrist that held the dagger trying to stop another attack the bandit with his other hand punched Joseph in his stomach making him fall to his knees coughing and clutching his stomach he tried pulling his wand out of his robe pocket but the bandit was too fast he kicked Joseph's jaw making him fall flat on his back he groaned in pain and looked up at Elizabeth who was looking at him in concern he sputtered and said with a strained voice "run" she shook her head vigorously tears in her eyes as the bandit lifted the dagger ready to slit his throat just in time Joseph pointed his wand at his attacker and shouted a word the bandit was pushed back by a powerful gust of wind making him stagger and trip on a root landing on his back and dropping the dagger a few feet away Joseph took his chance and stood up painfully he looked back at Elizabeth as the bandit slowly got himself on his knees searching for the dropped dagger Joseph more urgently shouted to Elizabeth "RUN!" she shook her head "I won't leave you!" the bandit not able to find his dagger as it had gotten buried in leaves decided to use his fists Joseph readied himself with his wand speaking to Elizabeth he said "get out of here! it's too dangerous I don't want to risk your life GO NOW!" that was an order with tears in her eyes she ran farther into the forest looking back to see Joseph using a spell with his wand to push the bandit back again she focused on running tripping over roots and almost falling she didn't stop until she found a fallen tree it was big enough to shelter her as there was a hole at the base she stepped in having to crouch so she wouldn't bump her head the inside of the tree was hollow making enough room for her to sit her mind started racing worried about Joseph 'what if the bandit killed him and was searching for her?' she cried hysterically until she had cried herself to sleep.
