End Of One, Beginning Of Many

"Crunch!"

Stem and dried leaves crackled under the heavy foot steps of a running man leaving bloody footprints along the way.

"Why?" A scream akin to howling escaped the man mouth breaking forest calmness abruptly, turning around he saw what he desired to just be a dream.

Stars like lucid snowflakes of silver sprinkled the night sky, illuminating the dim forest and 'thing' behind him.

A spherical pitch black hole around three meters of diameter, as if epitome of darkness was following him relentlessly. Crazy as it might sound, the eerie feeling told him otherwise.

"Why? I just wanted to pee! Why is this happening to me?" Even thought he was quite a smart person, in this situation, nothing came to his mind that could help him escape this predicament.

Palpitating and sweat covered, he was running for his life in this seemingly endless forest without direction. He couldn't help but bit his lips summing his efforts futile because the black hole was rapidly catching up to him.

A moment of mistake and he tripped to a rooted rock, falling stomach faced. Abruptly trying to get up, he found himself covered by that darkness. He vision stated blurring rapidly as a feeling of dread enveloped him. Sighing, he begrudgingly closed his eyes knowing his inevitable fate, the drowsiness further collaborating his decision.

Calmness!

After some moments he felt it, extreme serenity, unlike ever before. He opened his eyes feeling light projected in his eyes, it sting a bit due to the abrupt exposure. He couldn't see anything else, not even his own body, only a screen in front of him.

[Initialising Boot-up Sequence...]

[Boot-up..Success]

[Binding Host..Success]

[Transmigrating host to DxD world...Failure]

[Transmigrating host to ATG world...Failure]

Seeing the endless amount of popups in the screen in floating green screen, Elude was perplexed and enlightened.

"Could it be one of those systems from novles I used to read?" Thinking so, he continued staring at failure popups for some time. Even though he was not at the level of 'Otaku', he certainly possessed some knowledge about Anime and Novel.

[Transmigrating host to Campione world...Failure]

This was the last popup as the system like thing went silent as if in a deep thought.

[Transmigrating host to ************ world...Success]

[Proceed?]

[Yes]

[No]

Finally a success! Not knowing why he was so calm even though he was in such circumstances, he hesitated choosing any option, not knowing the consequences of his future action.

"Can you answer my question first?" Out of any options, he tested.

[Please go ahead, Host]

The screen showed the text, surprising him. 'This thing is sentient'

"Firstly, What happened to me?"

[Host died]

Those two words had Elude cold sweat running down his temple, even though he had a feeling it was still nonetheless shocking and...despairing. All things considered, he has a happy family and a beautiful girlfriend in his world. But now, everything was no more. This realisation was slowly sinking inside his brain, he would never be able to see them. He could help but direct his indignation

towards this system.

"Was it because of you?"

[True, but I have simply catalysed the process. You would gave died the next day anyway]

"So you killed me?"

[Yes]

Knowing that didn't made him feel any better. The bitter feeling remained strong, just as his developing hatred for system.

"Okay, so why me?"

[It was predestined. Knowing anymore requires Host to be strong enough.]

"Next, what's going to happen to me?"

[Host will be transmigrated in *********** world]

"Why not other worlds?" Even though he was still recovering from his mental shock, it didn't stop him from being prudent.

[...Even I don't know, probably some kind of interference is preventing Host from transmigrating to other worlds. ********** world is the only one free of any intervention]

"Okay, would I be able keep my memories after transmigration?"

[Yes]

"Finally...who are you?"

[Host needs a minimum amount of strength to know that]

[Transmigrate to ********** world?]

[Yes]

[No]

The choice was simple and hard simultaneously.

"I just have one more question. What happens if I chose no?"

[...Unknown]

Elude felt things getting further complicated, not that it wasn't enough earlier. Everyone fears unknown, so does he. Hard-pressed and defeated, he made a decision not knowing what future holds for him.

"Yes" clicking the option on the screen, he exhaled, suddenly feeling a lot relaxed.

[Initiating Transmigration...100%]

[Welcome Host to Unnatural Levelling System]

"Wait! Wha-" before he understood whats going on, a sudden assault of lethargy made him unconscious.

Sky City, Capital Region, Heng Country.

Sky city was considered as the focal point of Heng Country. The four Great clans as well as Dukes and marquesses households were situated here, opulence majority and lavish lifestyle was clear as summer sky if one took a look around it's streets.

But right now people faces were painted with desperation and uneasiness. A year ago, a neighbouring country who was peering towards Heng Country for a while assassinated one of Royal clan's direct descendant, the explanation obscure. The strain between countries was increasing rapidly, many borders has already been infiltrated several times already.

In this time of peril, naturally, opportunistic people didn't hide away. It didn't help that most of them were from influential clans and nobilities, further inciting inner friction between already mildly hostile circle.

-Great Xin Clan-

Inside one the particularly extravagant rooms out of many, a young maiden sat on the bed side appearing irate and anxious at the same time. She glanced towards another elderly women and hesitantly inquired.

"What do you think?"

"I..honestly don't know what happened. His pulse and heartbeat is normal and so is everything else. I can't fathom why is he unconscious." Sighing, the elderly woman shook her head in defeat. Looking at it, an expression of worry slowly appeared on the young maiden visage.

"Even someone with your experience can't tell? Honestly, just what happened to him." She lovingly caressed the exceedingly handsome face of youth lying on the bed.

"Young Miss Xin, our spies verified those women didn't have anything to do with Young Master condition." A women stood on the left of Xin Ning, she was covered in armour, a rapier hanged at side of her willowy waist. Her silky black hair shook along with her head as she recalled the scene when she helped her 'Young Master' to accompany back home from brothel, unconscious.

"I know, Rin. If they did, they wouldn't be living right now." Xin Ning coldly started.

Rin examined her young miss, if in the past year she learned anything, it's that she had totally underestimated Xin Ning. Typically she would appear as gentle and kind women, which she is...only to her family. When dealing with others, she was quite cold, direct and ruthless. On off chance if they did discovered some connection between brothel and Young Master condition, most likely they would as of now be history. She looked towards her Young Master and her Young Miss, feeling perplexed, how can these two be siblings? But their same blue hair and eyes told different story.

"Young Miss Xin, I believe you already know about Young Master personality, why do you care about him so much? Is it because he is your brother?" Curiosity got better of Rin.

Instantly Xin Ning turned towards Rin, her eyes cold, like the furthest star on night. Rin's body couldn't help but instinctively take a step back, a pressure as heavy as mountain pressing her down. She quickly circulated her own Qi in resistance, releasing pressure slowly. Rin wasn't mad about her Young Miss outburst, rather she surprised about something else.

"Young Miss, you have progressed yet again. Congratulations on entering Peak Stage of Sea Forming Realm."

"Rin, even though my brother may be a handsome-for-nothing degenerate, he is still my brother and your Young Master, you better remember that."

Young Miss Xin although cared about her aide, clearly there was big distinction between Rin and her brother. While Rin was about to offer an apology for crossing her limit, she found her Young Master body shook lightly.

"Young Miss, look, Young Master maybe waking up, he just moved." She pointed towards him.

Immediately Xin Ning face turned soft as she pivoted. A pair of blue eyes similar to herself gazed back into her eyes. She suddenly felt there was a different feel about him, as though something inside him has changed. His eyes were not as bored and disrespectful as always, it was full of tranquility and displayed matureness. His dainty lips separated delicately.

"Where am I?"
