The blood lottery strikes again!

Five weeks!

That's how long it took Konrad to complete the formation and regenerate the blood lost in the process! In the meantime many things happened that Konrad considered a nice progress.

His entire Mana capacity finally reached four times the amount he had in the begining! He decided to just call it 4 mana or 4 MP for short because he didn't know any other way it should be counted and the Prize orb he used literally said Mana capacity +1.

His control also grew much stronger and he was getting more eager to try using magic again, his disappointment from the last try fading almost completely.

Through trial and error He also managed to create a variation of the light formations that instead of light, formed balls made from different elements. Until now he managed to make a simple fire orb, wind orb, and to his surprise... a darkness orb! But he had to destroy it quickly because it felt somehow wrong...

The smaller experiments helped him in learning about formations a bit more. He was surprised when fire orb formation worked without problems but a water ball formation didn't work at all. The same with an earth ball. He deduced that forming a ball from physical matter was much more complicated than making the light orb and the formation would have to be completely changed. As for the darkness ball... it worked but...no he's not going to play with that for now...

Nothing changed when it comes to school and He still had to attend, obviously. Also It wasn't long before the spring comes.

But now he was here! Standing right in front of a big concrete formation that exuded a faint crimson glow, about to pour his blood into the last symbol in the core portion.

*DROP*DROP*

As the last drop of blood connected the passages in the core and activated the last symbol, the entire formation flashed! Konrad watched with fascination as a wave of light jumped from the center to the edges and back again, like waves on the surface of a pool when you drop a stone at the center.

He watched as the waves started to move more often from the center each time making the formation glow slightly more while the light balls placed all over the room actually flickered to the rhythm of the waves as if the formation took most of the magic from the surroundings!

It was a thing he would probably need to think about but not now. He had a more pressing matter.

He looked at the syringe in his hand that coincidentally still contained around 200 ml of his blood from the previous work, And poured it into the core of the formation! The blood glowed and started to be absorbed by the surrounding runes, as the light of the formation spiked up and with a sudden blinding flash, the once crimson formation suddenly started to glow golden!

Konrad grinned. 'This should be enough' He thought.

He stood in the center and put his hand on the same spot where he poured the blood.

"I hope it works...TRANSFER!!!" He shouted the activation phrase that he designed and with a pilar of golden light, Konrad disappeared.

----------

When he opened his eyes again, he was standing in the exact place he hoped to reach all this time! The endless white space was all around him and the same golden formation that he had pictures of, lied under his feet.

It took him a few seconds to finally register what happened and when he did he burst laughing cheerily!

"Hahaha! I did it! I'm here again! And still in one piece to boot!" Konrad exclaimed while jumping excitedly.

Without further ado, Konrad run down the light pathway in no time arriving in front of the Gacha. Nothing changed since the last time he was here. The small pile of bones was still lying a little further away, and the machine stood unchanged. A thin layer of blood was still present inside the tank under the lever only waiting for Konrad to supply more of it.

"It's been so long! Now I can come here whenever I want to!" Konrad said excitedly.

It wasn't long after he finally managed to calm his excitement that he approached the lever and cringed slightly.

'Right...Blood again...ugh...why is it always blood? Making formations? Blood. Powering formations? Blood. paying for this gacha? Also Blood! like they couldn't add some kind of alternative payment or something" He complained to himself.

"Ehh...nothing I can do about that.." He muttered and placed his hand on the handle only to wince from the pain of his hand being pierced by an extendable blade.

'As uncomfortable as ever..' He thought while hearing a steady stream of blood falling into the tank.

It wasn't long before two litres of blood left his body and Konrad felt horribly nauseous. His body was pale and cold sweat was pouring down his face. He took his hand off, from the handle, and quickly pressed a gaze to the wound that he had ready in his backpack together with a few other things. Then he wrapped it with a bandage and hoped that it's enough to stop the bleeding.

When he was sure that there wasn't any danger anymore, he looked at the machine and thought, whether he should draw now or gather enough blood for the promotion 11 for 10...

After short consideration he decided to pull the lever. He had worked for this for much too long, and he wanted to finally see some results!

*CLICLICK!!!*

There was the clicking sound when he carefully pulled the lever and as soon a a litter of blood disappeared, a small black ball rolled out of the prize hole.

"Common again?..."He muttered but was excited nonetheless.

He quickly snatched the orb and an inscription appeared on it.

[} Lesser Mana Potion (+5) {]

"..." Konrad looked at this ball with an expression of unbelieving and annoyance. It was basically a trash item however you looked at it, since he wasn't expecting any sudden need of replenishing his 'Great' magic reserves. He dropped it into his backpack and pulled the lever again..

*CLICLICK!!!*

The tank emptied itself completely and another black ball rolled out of the prize hole.

Konrad was about to groan in annoyance for another common reward, but then something caught his eyes...

...There was a white stripe around it.
