Summer approaches. Great improvements.
His research continued in a steady pace and Konrad enjoyed his time immensely.
But there was a slight alteration in his training schedule.
After he finally learned how to cast magic, his mana training had to be altered to include casting actual spells. it wasn't much, but because the release of his Mana also became a part of said training, the time needed to release it also increased. That caused his usual training to lengthen accordingly.
Konrad expected that his magic reserves would need additional two weeks or so to properly double but he wasn't worried about it much.
Spring came and went fairly quickly for him, his research focused on cracking the teleportation magic and improving the ones he already knew.
It was in the middle of June Konrad's magical capacity finally reached a whopping 40 points!
Every time his capacity doubled it was like a waystone for him. Like a kind of achievement, a challenge he took up.
If it comes to his research though there wasn't much progress...No...There was quiet a lot actually. He managed to create a magic formation that transported objects between it and a second similar formation, and he was fairly sure a living being would survive it. Of course he wasn't certain of it, that's why he bought a bunch of critters from a pet shop, to become his guinea pigs. Funnily there was no actual guinea pigs among them...
He of course didn't wait with his experiment and soon enough his mouse #1 became the first passenger of Konrad Magical Express.
And she was alright! similarly the second and the third! After replacing the mouses with other critters like rats and even a stray cat he caught on the street he finally confirmed that the formation was working as expected and he could move onto creating a human sized version.
Those experiments, together with the human sized model, costed him a scary amount of blood, reaching an entire ten liters! But even then, he still managed to gather another 30 liters! if he were to wait another six months he could probably go for the second promotion!
But he wasn't really up to waiting so long. Even now, the reason he gathered so much was because he completely forgot to check how much blood he had in his inventory....
He would need to go for some Gacha Weekend very soon....
Going back to his other researches...Konrad created a few variations of his usual magic. Since until now, he couldn't really do much more than create a ball from certain elements and maybe shape it or shoot it straight, so he decided to widen his arsenal.
His fire ball magic was his first priority. He managed to create a proper fireball with actual explosive properties and longer range. Of course he made the ball spinn in the air to increase the power similar to a bullet and made it more aerodynamic. He didn't even realize when a typical fantasy fireball became a fire bolt. This researches allowed him to understand how to make the projectiles spin, explode, cut or pierce, so he obviously applied it to his other magic. How surprised he was when his light magic actually managed to pierce a tree...It was light for crying out loud! He laughed when a thought about becoming an exorcist crossed his mind. With an offensive light magic, no undead stood in his way, Haha!
His physical training also progressed nicely. He almost completely mastered the swordsmanship explained in the Apprentice Tome Of Swords And Shields, and began practicing with a wooden shield, but soon came to a sudden realization. It wasn't really useful to him with his fighting style because...he had magic! It wasn't yet possible for him to use all three at the same time when his hands were preoccupied,. But even if he wasn't planing to use shields in the future, he would learn to do so if only for the peace of mind. And he had all this knowledge from the book, why shouldn't he use it right?

He was currently walking through the neighbouring city, his destination being the old man's basement. He was obviously planning to use the 30 litters of blood in his inventory to play the mysterious Gacha lottery. The dat was very hot. Prime example of the approaching summer. He would only need to sit in school for another week and Then summer will finally bring him the sweet freedom of doing whatever the hell he wanted. He decided to look at his status, as he became used to do it every now and then.

Konrad grinned. His stats improved by leaps and bounds in these three months, Mainly thanks to his swordsmanship training. That Book really knew how to stretch his body in the most painfully effective ways. Even his intelligence raised, most likely due to him constantly exercising his brain muscle with all this researches.
At some point, he realized that there was actually something special about him, because he felt much healthier and stronger than he was supposed to be, But the only reasons he could give for the difference between him and other people was that time he used a health potion and the fact he actually has magic in his body.
The potion might have healed more than just the wounds which he confirmed after using observe on the medium potion he still had in his inventory.

He remembered the Potion description and still couldn't believe how much more amazing was the potion than he formerly believed. Increasing lifespan? improving the peak that the body can achieve? He might have only drunk a Lesser Healing Potion but who knows if it also had those abilities. He was woken out of his musing by a completely unexpected sight of an older guy walking through the city in a leisure manner.
There wouldn't be anything special about it if it wasn't for the fact that the guy was currently completely naked, with only a locket dangling from his neck, and nobody was paying any attention to him whatsoever...
