The next day started with breakfast. Konrad and hermione walked hand in hand soon arriving in the Great Hall where many people already sat, eating the most important meal of the day.
But there were two boys who didn't eat. Their expressions were white and looked as if they came through something terrible just the other day.
"Hey look at them" Hermione pointed ad Ron and Draco sitting together at the end of the Hufflepuff table. "They look horrible, I wonder what happened..."
Konrad spotted the two boys, and had the same thought, 'what could happen to them in Hufflepuff to make them have this expression? They didn't even get any mail yet, from what I saw until now, so it had to be something with Puffs, but what?'
"I don't know Mione. Maybe they ate something bad, or the House is hard for them to get used to? Konrad said.
She looked at him suspiciously. "Wasn't that your doing? I felt your magic back then, care to tell me why you did that?"
Konrad sighed and said.
"Alright, that was me but I had a really good reason! You just need to trust me that it would be good for them in the long run..if their parents don't kill them.." the last part he said very silently so Hermione didn't hear him.
Hermione kept her look for a moment more and finally shrugged. "Alright, I'll trust you." Then she smiled sheepishly. "I will always trust you Konrad, you know it, I love you!" A silent wandles spell hid the kiss that happened after those words.
Soon enough, Neville arrived to eat breakfast and sat right in front of the kissing duo. He was just about to bite his sandwich when he got startled by greetings from his (friends?) sitting right in front of him. He didn't see them arriving at all. Soon after laughing from Neville's "absentmindedness" as Konrad called it, the three friends started chatting about different topics, for example, how Draco is a Malfoy and they were always in Slitherin so it's a really unexpected situation just like the Weasleys who are always sorted into Gryffindor.
After breakfast everyone went for the lessons. Nothing interesting happened, the flying lessons were tomorrow and today only one new lesson was introduced, Charms with Professor Flitwick. Most of the lessons Konrad and Hermione spent reading their own books disguised as the textbooks for the lesson, while sometimes pausing to complete their assignments or help others.
When they were finally free, the duo went for the seventh floor. Neither Hermione nor Konrad could see anything wrong with the wall in front of the dancing troll tapestry using their magesight but as soon as Konrad walked in front of it thinking of needing to have a room perfect for study, the wall shined with light. Every time he repeated the process the wall shined stronger until on the third time their magesight almost blinded them and doors appeared.
"You were right! I can tell It's an amazing piece of magic by sheer amount of powers the door emanates. Let's go in!" Hermione said.
"Haha let's go." Konrad replied.
Suffice to say the room was a blast. Hermione and Konrad were so amazed with the abilities of this room that they spend an entire hour just playing with it and experimenting before anything else. The room could create everything! From animated training dummies to a small beach with sunlight that felt like the real deal. But the best feature in Hermione's opinion were books. Lots and lots of books! They could access any copy of any book in the castle, and I mean literally any book. From peoples diary's to books long lost in the past somewhere in the castle, through the books from the library and the restricted section to the private collections of any teacher including Dumbledore's! The two info junkies indulge themselves in reading while leaning over each other on a comfortable sofa the room provided. They completely forget about their initial target and only realized this a few hours later after going through a few of Dumbledore's books about blood magic and soul magic, suffice to say he probably knows about Konrad's "cursed" scar and it's significance, yet Konrad wondered how would be react if he found out the lack of any curse now.
The duo got out of the room and Hermione let Konrad do his thing.
'I need the room of hidden things, I need the room of hidden things, I need the room of hidden things' he thought and soon the new door manifested. What they saw after entering the place was a huge room filled to the end with mountains of...everything. Konrad turned to Hermione with a mischievous look on his face.
"This is the room when everything that was ever lost in the boundaries of Hogwarts lands since the times of Konrad's creation." He said.
"WOW! There's so much of it! ...but how are we going to find the cabinet around this place?" Hermione asked.
Konrad grin grew wider.
"You know, before the cabinet, I wanted to make you realize something. This room consists of thousands of items even from the times of the founders and all of it is practically ownerless." He said waiting for His Girlfriend to realize what he meant. Soon she opened her eyes wide.
"You wouldn't....Konrad don't even think about it." She said, but there was a mischievous smile on her face. Konrad grinned as well and said. "Beside that, this room is supposed to do everything we want so..." suddenly Hermione saw a blinding flash and a loud noise and when her eyes finally adjusted back she saw everything in the room neatly placed in segregated mountains like a small mountain of Jewelry, a mountain of chairs, clothes, etc etc. Hermione looked around surprised and said. "Why didn't I think about it?" Konrad grinned. "Don't worry I was just a little faster. Now let's go look for this cabinet."
The vanishing cabinet was found quickly, and the Duo soon started looking at why the connection was broken. They found many damaged runes but they easily identified them with Lunas notes and with her own eyes looking through Konrad's Three-way mirror. They would need one or two days before the cabinet worked again but they had a lot of time, so there was no hurry other than their growing need to see Luna in person again as soon as possible.
After identifying most of the damaged runes, Konrad and Hermione went back to their Dorms. But before that Konrad wanted to check one theory of his.
"Accio time-turner!" Konrad shouted with his wand out hoping for a stronger effect.
Soon enough three time turners flew out of the pile of jewelry. One of them was broken but the two remaining were in working condition! Konrad and Hermione stared at the time turner in silence for a while until Konrad exclaimed.
"We have a time turner!" Konrad grinned widely. It would be so much useful in the future!
"I think you wanted to say "WE" have a... oh wait you did haha" Hermione was embarrassed by her slip up. Konrad laughed at her words but reassured her. "It's alright, slip ups like this can happen even to the smartest witch in the world." Hermione blushed and rewarded him with a kiss.
"Keep saying things like this and I might go further than a French kiss" she said.
Konrad was dizzy from this words and tried to remember that they are still 11. 'Damn Girl, keep this attitude and we'll have FBI banging into the Great Hall.' He thought with a smirk. He kissed her again and said "lest wait at least until fourteen alright?" Hermione pouted but nodded, then kissed him once again quickly, "In that case I'm going to suck your lips dry whenever I can, you won't escape me then.haha!"
"I would certainly never even try to escape Mione haha." Soon after the kissing and another handholding session, the duo went back to sleep.
"
