Burning In The Hall Of The Remembered

The Princess had been kidnapped and brought to an abandoned storehouse in the middle of the impenetrable wilderness. Brunia's consciousness merely wavered with her eyes fluttering open and shutting after every millisecond. The mysterious figure who abducted her approached a grimy cabinet across the room, and removed a 2-liter bucket of petroleum and spread it all across the building and majorly covered the floor areas around the Princess who was lying comatose on the floor. And it to place the cherry on top of the cake, the peculiar black-figure swept her hair aside and revealed an injection with a transparent dose from her pocket. She inoculated the medicine into the Princess' skin and flung the syringe outside the building. The physique removed a matchbox from her pouch, stroke the matches across the red phosphorus spread over the matchbox and launched it on the ground which caused a widespread of blazing fire all over the place! She exited the erection and spoke with a sinister resolution, "Princess Brunia, Bruno admires you far too much that he can tolerate anything for you. But unfortunately, he won't be able to protect you this time, and will have no alternative choice but to marry me; Princess Sennett Von Ringelstein!" As she spoke that, she walked away into the night without a care for what she did was considered as a significant crime.

In the meanwhile, Bruno eventually regaining his consciousness after losing a considerable quantity of blood after the vigorous exchange by the Ringelstein royal guards. His siblings and the Vermillion sisters spent the entire night surrounding and praying for him to recover and shared a sleepless night together. Leonhard noticed that Bruno's eyes were slowly trembling open and was searching across the room.

He squealed, "Guys! Bruno's alive!' Everyone huddles around him to see his condition.

The first thing Bruno did was wake up with a jolt and questioned in apprehension, "Where is Brunia!?"

Kai took a deep breath and informed with regret, "Bruno, we are glad that one worry of ours has ended, but I'm afraid the other one hasn't. Since the royal ball, Brunia has been confirmed missing from the palace grounds, the guards and the police force and trying their level best to locate her."

At that moment, the door swang open with Smerdria at the entrance, she spoke, "Thank goodness that Prince Bruno is alive, but how did Princess Brunia go missing!?"

Leonora rushed towards her and clutched her collar, screeching, "WHERE IS MY DEAREST SISTER!? YOU KIDNAPPED HER, DIDN'T YOU!? I WILL CALL THE POLICE AND JAIL YOU FOR LIFE!"

Smerdria inquired, "You are Princess Leonora, right?"

Leonora let go of her collar and asked, "How did you know?"

Smerdria bluntly replied, "I see you are a dunce, so I figured."

Leonora got aggravated and yelled, "You called me a dunce!? I'm not one, you abductor!"

Smerdria reminded, "Just because I called you a dunce, that doesn't mean that I kidnapped your sister. And besides, why would I do that, I am her companion from Orosz who initially came to attend the royal ball! And let me tell you guys that I have seen Princess Brunia after you guys fled away from the event!" Everyone in the room gasped with shock and surprise.

Licha inquired, "Hey, woman! Will you tell us what exactly happened!?"

Smerdria narrated, "After you guys fled from the royal ball, Prince Bruno ventured out within the palace grounds, and while he was returning, a few foreign royal guards seized him and tortured him so much that his consciousness started to waver with the amount of blood he lost. I followed them the entire time, and before they could sense my presence, I sprinted from there and informed Princess Brunia, who was studying in this very chamber and demanded Ludwig to call the royal guards for backup and departed to the stranded area of the forest where I first beheld him. The royal guards commenced attacking each other, and it was revealed that it was all Princess Sennett's orders and that she did this so that Bruno was forced to agree for the forecasting marriage. Brunia couldn't help but weep at sight and fled away into the forest. That was when I last saw her."

Licht concluded, "It seems like she gave up Brunie so that he couldn't be tortured any further. This can only mean that she stepped down for him!"

Kaira questioned, "Wait... what do you mean by forecasting marriage?"

Smerdria answered, "It means that the Princess has instructed the press and media to record the wedding and forecast it all over the world."

Leonhard yelled, "What kind of a woman is this? My dearest brother, please tell me that you're seriously not considering this!" Everyone looked over at Bruno, who was silent and was weeping with tears overflowing his eyes.

Licht commented, "Man! Brunie must be really hurt; in my 14 years of being have never seen him cry like this."

Bruno huffingly spoke, "As circumstances prove otherwise, I tried my level best to get what I desire in life. And so far I got everything I ever wished for, I guess this one of mine wasn't precisely written in the cards for me."

Kai responded, "Please don't say that! Bruno, you will only invite grief into your life if you do this."

Kaira added, "Don't worry, we will figure something out."

Bruno screamed, "Doesn't this seem unrealistic to any of you!? I thought that since Eins is the most qualified candidate for the royal throne, I have no chance of surpassing him; nevertheless, I never accepted the defeat, but I did feel hopeless. And when finally, our father is asking me to do something that pleases him to this extent, don't you think that I have a fair chance in pursuing my lifelong dream when he chooses me as King?!"

Leonhard commented, "Dearest brother, you don't know what you're doing, is King being more important than your happiness?" Bruno gasped in realization but didn't utter a word but instead looked away immediately.

Kai affirmed, "Bruno, we all care about you and only wish the best for you. If being King really makes you happy, then we aren't anybody to stand in your way."

Licha asked, "So Brunie-boy, what is your answer?"

Bruno took a deep breath and answered, "Guys, I accept Sennett's proposal. Prepare for the upcoming wedding!"

Smerdria reminded, "Prince Bruno, if this is what you truly wish for, Sennett has spread the word that she is willing to marry you any day that you choose within this week."

Leonhard yelled as he threw his hands in the air, "This week!? That's too fast! How do you know all these things?!"

Smerdria snapped back by saying, "Because I'm not the one who ran away from the ball right after the announcement of the King's engagement to the Vermillion Queen!"

Bruno responded, "Girls, please don't quarrel! This isn't the time for that! I have made my decision!"

Licha spoke, "Whatever it is, we're all here for you."

Bruno took a deep breath and affirmed, "The wedding will be on Saturday, which is a week away from now."
