Chapter 71: War

* WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAA !! *

Thanatos' allies give a battle cry and advance towards Rao.

Underworld gods, entities, titans, underworld spirits and Hecatonchiros, Rao's enemies were countless and all these enemies wanted Rao's head.

But despite being in front of thousands of enemies, Rao remained calm and with an arrogant smile on his face. It was quite clear to all the gods that Rao was at a disadvantage. He can be a God-King, but, with so many enemies, Rao's situation was quite unfavorable; even Zeus would not be able to defeat all these beings and get out unscathed.

But Rao was not Zeus ...

When the first enemy enters Rao's attack zone, the king of the gods brandished his sword.

*Boooooooooooooom! * A gigantic energy that contained the concept of fire and life came out of the blade of Olympus and eliminated all the lesser spirits and gods of the underworld.

Rao can feel ... He can feel several minor divinities gathering on his blade.

With just one sword move, Rao eliminated all weak enemies.

Hecate and Thanatos frowned when they saw this display of power. "He got stronger." Thanatos said.

"It does not matter." Hecate spoke with hatred, soon she began to summon more spirits from the underworld.

Rao looks at the spirits and then at Hecate.

Hecate felt immense pressure when she felt Rao's gaze.

"Watch out!" Thanatos kicked Hecate away.

Hecate is annoyed to be treated like this, but, when she looks at the place where she was, she saw the space being distorted by a blade cut.

She looks at Rao and sees the king of the gods with a slightly annoyed face.

Realizing that Rao was distracted, a titan tries to attack him. But, soon his vision was distorted and the head of another titan fell on Mount Olympus.

"Don't let your guard down Hecate, Rao is a king of the gods for two pantheons." Thanatos warned. He knows very well what kind of threat he caused.

"Doesn't matter." Hécate snorted again. She put her hands together and started speaking in a strange language; then the titans who fell in battle started to rise like the living dead. "Even though he is strong, he does not have infinite divinity. At some point, he will have to get tired."

Rao narrows his eyes when he sees the titans he killed rising again as the living dead, then he looks at Hecate coldly. He has placed top priority on killing Hecate.

When he goes to make a move to kill Hecate.

Rao quickly dodges an attack by Hecatonchiros, he flies in the sky while dodging the attacks of these monsters. "Tsk, those arms are a nuisance, let's lessen them."

* BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! *

With a sonic boom, Rao approaches a Hecatonchiros and begins to wave the blade of Olympus at high speed.

* Bang! Bang! Bang! *

The severed arms Hecatonchiros' began to fall to the ground.

Hecate smiled: "I can use the souls of the dead as fuel; this war ... we have already won." She makes a hand movement and soon the lesser gods who died by Rao's blade started to resurface again, but she realized that these gods were much weaker than before. 'That sword is a nuisance.'

"That Bitch !!" Rhea cursed angrily when he saw her brothers being revived as undead.

The gods are surprised when they see Rhea curse. After all, she had never done that.

"Tell me." Hades suddenly appeared in front of all the goddesses. He was covered in golden blood; it was quite obvious that he killed many gods. He opens his hands and soon the souls of the gods appear.

Although he is no longer the god of the underworld, he still had strong ties to the underworld. Dealing with several minor gods is something simple to do. After all, they are not that strong.

"What is your choice?" Hades asked in a cold tone; it was quite obvious that he was talking about what Rao had ordered.

"....." The goddesses were a little intimidated by Hades' expression; although he didn't seem strong, he looked very intimidating.

"I'm on Rao's side." Hera spoke with a cold smile.

Hades looks into Hera's lifeless eyes and nods.

"... Rao saved me and had mercy on my father, I will be by Rao's side." Metis spoke.

"I will stand by Rao's side." Nyx spoke in a cold tone.

Nyx's decision surprised all the gods present.

"Why?" Gaia asked her sister.

But Nyx said nothing, she remained with a cold smile on her face.

Hades looked at Gaia, Artemis, Athena, Aphrodite and Rhea.

Sensing Hades' gaze, the goddesses looked at each other as if they had agreed to something beforehand, but before they could do anything Aphrodite said:

"I'm on Rao's side." She spoke with a smile as she walked slowly towards Hades.

It was at this point that the goddesses realized they were betrayed. They had agreed in advance that they would betray Rao for the sake of Olympus, but they all knew that they were interested in the throne of Olympus. Because of that, they made this deal.

"You don't have to tell me anything, I already know your answer." Hades spoke.

"Wait!! I will be next to Rao!! " Rhea quickly said in despair.

Hades makes a stop gesture: "It's too late, mom ... You chose your destiny."

"And? We are against Rao, but how are you going to judge us? You are not strong enough. " Artemis spoke in a strong tone.

Hades smiled: "Who said I was going to do something?" He looked at the sky.

When the goddesses looked at the sky, they saw Faora flying at high speed towards them.

At this moment Gaia looked at Nyx; as the entity of the night, Nyx can hide her presence as if she were part of the universe. She can observe anywhere in the universe without being noticed, if the enemy has no means or powers to feel the presence of Nyx, they will never know that she was watching you.

'Nyx knew everything. Was it because of this, that she chose to be with Rao? Wrong, she doesn't care about that; she probably thinks it will be more interesting to be with Rao.' Gaia tried to guess the meaning of Nyx's actions but, despite being entities and sisters, Nyx never interacted much with Gaia; the mother goddess of Earth cannot guess the significance of Nyx's actions.

Artemis looked into Faora's cold blue eyes... Fear, that was the only thing she felt when she saw Faora; Artemis can clearly say that Faora is angry and that she will not forgive the traitors now.

* BOOOOOOOOOOM! *

Faora's flight speed increases, and soon she exceeds the speed of sound.

'Shit. I was supposed to have stood by Rao; at least that way, I could have time to plan my revenge ...' That was Artemis' last thought before being beheaded by the Harpe that was being wielded by Faora.

Faora takes the goddess's head and stands up: "Who will be next?"
