Chapter 72: Cythona

Faora looked at all the traitorous gods with cold eyes. The gods prepared to fight Faora, but that was not what the queen of Olympus was interested in. She takes her attention away from the gods and looks at Rao who was fighting with several enemies around Same time.

Seeing Rao's divine form, Faora felt something in her heart beat strongly; it was as if she had seen this image several times in the past.

The image of Rao fighting alone against several enemies; she cannot help but look at Gaia and remember the words of the entity.

Flashback.

A few days ago before Rao woke up.

Faora was sitting on the throne of Olympus. She had a neutral expression on her face; she was thinking about various schemes and gods that she must use to achieve her goals. She knows very well that the possession of a new land through invasion is something which generates a lot of conflicts. Just because Rao won the war, it doesn't mean that the gods are satisfied; they will revolt, and that is something she is absolutely sure of.

Suddenly the great doors of the palace of Olympus are opened; Faora clears her thoughts and looks at the intruder with cold eyes. She was sure that she ordered Hades that no one should enter this place without her permission.

But even then someone disobeyed the order that she personally spoke, it just proves something. 'The gods do not see me as an authority.' Faora frowned at the thought, but soon her expression returned to a cold, neutral tone.

A beautiful woman with a voluptuous body who was wearing a Greek dress walked calmly towards Faora, in the hands of this woman was a long golden staff.

She had long green hair and a mature charm. On this woman's face there was always a loving smile; it was the smile that a mother gave to her children.

"Cythonna, goddess of Cold, Ice and Death ... It is a pleasure to see you in the worlds of the living again." The woman spoke in a suggestive tone that contained sarcasm.

Faora frowned when she heard how the goddess called her. As a future queen, Rao taught all the knowledge that was necessary for her to learn. Because of this training, she knows which goddess this woman is talking about.

'Cythonna is a Kryptonian goddess and she is the opposite of Rao. She symbolizes cold death; she was also Rao's love. But, unfortunately, the goddess was obsessed with making beings that would destroy Kryptonians. Because of that, Rao himself killed his beloved ... This was a tale well-known thousands of years ago; but with the advancement of technology, this tale has been lost in the annals of stories. '

'Little is known about Cythonna, we only know about this tale and that she is a goddess who is the opposite of Rao. Despite being the opposite of Rao, she was also Rao's beloved.' Faora contemplated.

Faora was interested, she wanted to know who this goddess was.

Faora takes the blade of Olympus that was beside her; as soon as she puts her hands on the blade, she understands which goddess was standing in front of her ... Or rather, which entity was standing in front of her.

"Gaia, Mother Earth ..." Faora spoke in a neutral tone while her sapphire blue eyes looked into Gaia's green eyes.

"What do you want?" Faora asked coldly.

"I do not want anything." Gaia smiled, and continued: "I just wanted to visit you."

Faora narrowed her eyes. "Did you break an order personally given by me, just because you wanted to visit me?"

"Yes ... I wanted to see the reincarnation of an old friend of mine." Gaia spoke with a suggestive smile.

"Oh?" Faora did not like this play on words: "Because you call me Cythonna? I am not that goddess."

"Yes, you are not that goddess yet." Gaia smiled.

'Still, huh?' Faora narrows her eyes. She doesn't like it, she gets up from her throne and walks slowly towards Gaia. "Explain yourself." She spoke in a cold tone as she placed the blade of Olympus on Gaia's neck.

Gaia remained with the same smile: "You don't have to threaten me, this is an old story; do you want the short version, or the long version?"

"The short version."

Gaia's smile breaks a little; she wanted to tell a long story, but she had thick skin: "In short, if there is a Rao in the universe, consequently, there will be a Cythonna. After all, she is the opposite of life and fire that are the divinities that Rao represents. "

"And Cythonna always reincarnates in Rao's beloved woman. After all, that is the fate of these two gods." She explained. "They are destined to love and kill themselves ... It is quite a tragic fate, isn't it?" She spoke smiling.

"I see." Faora removed the blade of Olympus from Gaia's neck. "This story is pure bullshit."

"What ...?" Gaia did not understand.

"I am Faora, and I am Rao's wife. I am not that goddess you are talking about." Faora spoke in a cold tone. "And even if I am Cythonna's reincarnation, I will always love Rao; I will never harm him. After all, he is everything to me."

"...." Gaia raises her eyebrows a little surprised. 'It seems that this reincarnation has more willpower than the previous one ...' She thought.

Faora walks slowly towards the throne, reaching the throne, she sits down and looks at Gaia arrogantly: "If you came here just to spread nonsense, I have a job for you."

"What ...? I will work?" Gaia couldn't believe what she was hearing, a primordial entity going to work? That thought never crossed her mind.

"Yes. You have nothing to do, right? How about you help your new queen? " She spoke in a tone that did not allow for refusal.

"Ugh ..." Gaia looked at Faora and saw the queen of Olympus smiling coldly, she regretted having come to this place a little.

Flashback End.
