EPISODE 22: He and the Pet!*

My brain stuttered for a moment and my eyes take in more light than I expected, every part of me goes on pause while my thoughts caught up. What a coincidence or some might think. Detective Looker and another woman were here, and never did I expect he would be here in the Sinnoh Region which further alerts me knowing that the Pokemon International Police was founded here.

Our eyes locked into each other, and there I remembered all my hatred for that one chief detective who kept ruining me and my operations back in Johto with his squadron of armored policemen. His hair grew longer, possibly forgotten to have a haircut. I noticed he changed his brown coat to a darker one and his old dark brown tie is now black. His apparel has completely evolved into a whole new level.

"So, Luna Evergreen." uttered the shell-shocked detective.

"Detective, pleasant evening," I replied sarcastically.

"Um, detective. Isn't she-"

"Yes."

"Then that means Team Rocket is-"

"Yes." Detective Looker interrupted Emma's words two times.

"Alright, what is Team Rocket planning to do this time?! Surrender immediately, Elite Operative Luna Evergreen! You've been running for more than two years and now that I've finally found you, surrender right now." Detective Looker demanded. Meanwhile, Emma was staring at me, somehow watching every single one of my moves in case I planned to hurt the detective.

"Well, I'm glad you missed me," I replied sarcastically again. I didn't want to kill him, for now at least since my patience is still high and I wanted to try out Shelgon. Like before, I'd rather train for now to help me develop my Pokemon rather than killing. It will be hard to control my aggression.

"I never did, perhaps Jenny did. She went all the way here. Actually, she resigned from being an officer since according to her, she was busy with her own agendas." hearing those words, I recalled the moment when Jenny saw me kill her sister that was never meant to happen. Her own agendas? More like she's trying to hunt me down literally for revenge. I choked my saliva, knowing that she is lurking somewhere in this region.

"Croagunk, let's go! I'll have it your way, let's battle. If I win, you surrender, if I lose, I'll let you go. Try to go all sarcastic by attempting to kill me and you'll be charged with murder in case that little inhumane plan of yours succeeds." Detective Looker taunted at me and my heart was pounding loudly for I was not prepared for this moment.

"That's some heavy-duty bargain there. Come out Absol!" I can't use Shelgon, not now. This bargain is something that will determine where I will be heading next.

"Detective Looker, I think it might be best if we just capture her by force. You might end up getting injured and I can't fight, my Espurr's energy is drained." Emma was worried about the sleuth.

"Don't worry Emma, I've got this. Alright, use Venoshock!"

Croagunk's two little cheek pouches expanded and contracted. It stabbed the floor with its fist and there emerged a ripple of poisonous acid around Absol. By chance, she was not poisoned.

"Absol, try out your new move, use Dark Pulse!"

"Jump high up to the sky!"

Croagunk leaped to and clung unto one of the electrical wires to dodge the dark ripple beneath it. From there I noticed Detective Looker was going all out, fighting like a trainer. This will be the perfect opportunity for training.

Shelgon popped out of her Pokemon. She looked at me with determined eyes and her spirit murmurs to my ear, "Choose me! Choose me!"

"Substituting? I'd call that cheating but I'll allow you just this once." Detective Looker agreed, so I sent back Absol and replaced her with Shelgon. I got flustered, agitated, and anxious. Well, she is determined to fight but all her training for the night barely did anything to her stamina.

"Shelgon, use Ember!"

"Croagunk, dodge then Mega Punch!"

Croagunk passed through the ceilings of the houses, dodging all of Shelgon's fiery attack. From behind, it punched Shelgon's hind and it was another stroke of luck that she wasn't paralyzed.

"Stand up, Shelgon! Stand up!" I encouraged not in a forceful but rather inspiring manner. This is getting out of head, she couldn't even carry her own body since the day she evolved! I'm forcing myself not to lose hope on her and I still believe we can improve things better. Meanwhile, Croagunk went for another round, two times actually, of Mega Punch, striking in both the hind and limbs.

I knew the tactic of the detective was to make Shelgon not capable of unleashing moves. He's playing by the weakness of my Pokemon while I stand here, thinking of a way. Now I seem more of a grunt rather than an Elite Operative come to think of it.

"Shelgon, use Dragon Rage and aim for Croagunk!"

Shelgon targeted for the ceilings of the houses but in swift speed, Croagunk kept on dodging them. For the cherry on top, Croagunk came down the roof tiles and smacked Shelgon Mud-Slap, making her enter a fainted state. Well, that was an embarrassment, and I should've disagreed with the games of the detective.

"Now that you've lost, give yourself in, we had a deal." demanded, Looker who sent back his Croagunk to its Pokeball. Behind me, police cars blocked my path for escape and Emma was waving at me while holding a walkie-talkie on her left hand.

"I've got to say, detective, your plan was great but I never said yes. Actually, I straight up battled you, so what now? Hmm, until we meet again!" I beamed sarcastically, leaping from the floor to the nearby metallic stairs, and climbing up to the rooftop of the sleeping houses.

"Why you little!" shouted the sleuth in rage as he tried to chase me. Well, if Shelgon can't run, I surely can. In a blink of an eye, I was gone from his sight as I ran past through the black bricks of the spruce houses and buildings.

Even Detective Looker's Croagunk was too late to catch me.
