The Fourth Closet

As he looked around the room, William was confused and intrigued by what was inside of it. There was a large work desk, with several different mechanics, tools and other supplies lying on it near the front. He carefully walked inside. Now he got a better look at the work desk, and also saw that there seemed to be a shiny, purple jacket and a purple woolen face mask lying on it, too.

He didn't recognize the jacket, mainly because it looked kind of sleezy, but that mask was instantly recognizable. The mask his kidnapper wore when he abducted him two nights ago. Two small eye-holes were in it, but he remembered that he saw the man wearing a pair of night vision goggles before he was kidnapped, but the holes looked large enough to look out of. He's operating inside of the building? Does that mean he's an employee here? That must be, otherwise he must've snuck in somehow. But who here would want to kidnap me, of all people? I just started working here. There's no reason for anyone here to hate me that much. Unless I stumbled onto something they didn't want me to see...

There were four drawers beneath the table. The top two were very small, but the bottom two looked like it could provide enough space for William to hide under. The right top drawer was slightly open, and when he tried to take a look inside, he found a wide variety of weapons inside. Among these were a very sharp hunting knife, some kind of taser, a syringe, probably the same one used to make him black out, and a silencer hand-gun. Okay, so whoever kidnapped me is armed, and clearly knows what he's doing.

But the drawer wasn't nearly the strangest part about this room. All over the walls, he could see several large investigation boards, each one scattered with different photos, newspapers, lines of string, and much more. It seemed like whoever made this was trying to connect something together. Something much bigger than William thought at first. Whatever it is, it looks like someone is two steps ahead of this game.

He took a good look at what information was on these boards. On one there was a newspaper report about the alleged child death at Circus Baby World, another news report about a springlock suit failure back in 1974, and several others relating to missing workers and children that allegedly took place right here at Circus Baby World. The newspaper had a lot of useful information about what happened with the child death incident. It said that the police were unable to identify the child, since they couldn't find any trace of the kid anywhere. Like it just disappeared.

Apparently, a lot of the other newspapers about the missing children had very similar info compared to the death incident. While the police were able to identify a few of the children, there was one thing in common with all of the victims: they seemingly vanished without a trace. Nowhere to be found. Just gone. I'm beginning to see a pattern here that I don't like.

Then he checked out the report about the springlock failure. Baby said something last night about a man nearly getting killed by a springlock suit. Is this the person she was talking about? The report didn't state his name, but it did state a lot of other important information. Sometime in 1974, at a Fredbear's Family Diner location, one of the technicians there was trying to put on a springlock suit. His reasons for doing so were unknown, but they did know that this suit model was a Fredbear suit. The picture wasn't in the newspaper, so William had no idea how it looked like.

By the time the ambulance arrived, officials said that the man had already suffered huge blood loss, tissue and organ damage, and that a lot of the blood had already soaked the suit. The man was screaming out in pain the whole time, the medics describing it as just painful to watch. The details of how the man survived and how the doctors were able to safetly remove the springlock suit were very vague. It stated that not even the doctors expected the man to come out alive, but by some miracle of God, he did, but just barely.

Then there was a similar report stating all of the injuries inflicted on the man. According to the doctors, apart from the massive amount of blood lost, the man had many deep cuts all over his body, arms and neck, and even slight damage to his occipitial lobe, the back of his brain. These cuts tore deep into his flesh, damaging many muscles and organs across his body. The doctors said it would take months for him to fully heal from the extent of these injuries, and that he might not ever fully recover from it. I did not know it was that severe. I'm just happy none of this happened to me last night. If I had known this, I would've been much more scared.

He could also see a photo of what seemed to be a little girl, probably around eight, with blondish-red hair and a cute, little red bow in her hair, right next to her mother, probably in her thirties, William thought, with long, blonde hair and blue eyes. She was a very pretty woman. Right next to them was a figure that looked like the father of the little girl in the photo, but all William could see of the father was his hand on the blonde woman's shoulder, with the rest of the photo seemingly torn apart for some reason. Above the photo was a little piece of paper that read out the following words in red: Angelica and Elizabeth.

William didn't understand any of this at first, given that he didn't recognize either person in the photo, so then he started looking at some of the other things on the investigation board. Maybe there was something that could help him understand this better. There was one newspaper in particular that caught his eye: a report about a woman seemingly kidnapped around two months ago, and her photo on the page looked exactly like the blonde woman in the picture.

Her name, according to the newspaper, was Angelica Warner. This report also mentioned that Angelica was assumed to be dead given that she disappeared without a trace, and the authorities stated that her husband didn't have a clue about what happened to her. The police did interrogate him, but found no evidence to convict him guilty of any charges. This article is nearly two months old. This didn't happen too long ago. In fact, it looks like it happened just a week or two after the child death incident took place.

What was even more confusing was that the name of the husband was never stated in the paper, anywhere. Or at least it looked like where his name was supposed to be was crossed out with permanent marker. Hmm, interesting. There must be something deeper going on here. It's all connected somehow, I just don't know what's connecting them. William tried checking what else was on these boards. Most of them were still just images and newspapers of events or people related to Circus Baby World, and involved some sort of tragedies and accidents.

Jared Pietmond reported missing, old technician getting an arm dismembered, dead woman found in ventilation shaft...nothing here helps my situation. Wait, dead woman? I think I remember a few days ago that the Hand-Unit mentioned that they found a dead body in the vents, but this article was written nearly two years ago. Must've happened when this place was still in construction. As he continued to search the investigation boards for more clues on what was going on, he came to the end of the room to find four, ominous doors at the end of it.

The first of these four doors was already opened, and had a very odd, much smaller version of Circus Baby. What was strange about this model was that it was around the size of an eight-year old child, and unlike the other animatronics, this one's plating seemed to be made out of smooth plastic rather than metal.

Its facial design and costume was still the same as Circus Baby's, but shockingly, it almost looked entirely human. Just by looking at how smooth and detailed this animatronic was, he could tell that whoever designed it put a lot of time and effort into it. It had the same features, too: red hair tied into pigtails, red dots at the end of her lips, etc. But then he touched the animatronic's hair and discovered it wasn't made out of metal like the regular Circus Baby model. Instead, it felt very thick and wooly, almost like it was real hair, but that creeped him out even more. It was like this suit was an oversized play-doll or something.

There was also something even more off with this animatronic. That face...it looks so much like a human...I swear I've seen that face somewhere before. It reminded him of the little girl, Elizabeth, in the picture he found, so he quickly took the picture off of the board and compared it to the animatronic suit. Aside from a few differences, once he compared both of their faces, they nearly looked exactly identical to one another, almost as if they were the same person. Okay, this just got a thousand times weirder. Why does this suit look so much like this little girl?

He was also curious to see what was inside of the other closets. If there are any other different models of Baby behind here, then I've definetely got another mystery on my hands. He opened the second closet door, and behind was yet another Circus Baby model. It seemed to look a lot like the first one, but unlike it, this one seemed to look a little older, like a twelve-year old child instead of an eight-year old.

The design wasn't too much different: they both had red, wooly hair, the same pigtail hairstyle, had the same red dress, a few pins sticking out of its arms and legs, but this one was also strikingly human. When he compared it to the photo of the little girl, there were much more differences, but this suit looked like if the girl in the photo was slightly older. Alright, there's an age pattern I'm starting to see here. First it's eight years old, now it's twelve, so then next should probably be somewhere in her teenage years, then. William decided to check the third door to see if he was correct or not.

As he opened the third closet door carefully, revealing the third Circus Baby suit. This suit was the one that surprised and at the same time astonished him the most. The third suit seemed to be the most unique out of all of them, as it seemed to have a much more humanoid appearance, with thinner legs, arms, and a thinner body than any of the previous suits. She was only a few inches taller than him, around six feet and eight inches tall. It definitely looked more human than the other two suits. The plastic plating was so smooth and detailed that it actually looked like a human.

She had the same pigtail hairstyle, but these were so much longer and more majestic than the other two, and her hair was colored blood-orange. She seemed to have much more hair curls, design and deatils than the other suits, and she looked around as old as a teenage girl. Unlike the other two, this one had a red crop top and a long, red skirt, both that seemed very fashionable. It still had some of the same facial features, but it seemed quite beautiful and intriguing. I'll admit, whoever designed suit is very talented. They need to get a raise for this.

Let's see, so each suit looks like an older version of the little girl in this photo. This third one kind of looks like a combination between the little girl and whoever this Angelica is, but still. That means that if this is correct, then the final suit should be Baby as an adult, right? Let's see. Then he opened the fourth closet door.

The final suit looked like an adult version of Circus Baby, slightly larger than the third model, but still not much different from the others. She had the same red crop top and skirt like the third suit, but she looked a lot more like Angelica than Elizabeth. She seemed to be very beautiful, too, but he noticed that neither the third or fourth suits had any of those pins in their arms or legs. Not only that, but inside this fourth closet was the blueprint design for this suit. It showed the inner mechanisms of the suit, and there was something circled in red marker about "transformation".

The blueprint contained some instructions for what to do with whatever the 'transformation' was. It pointed to a series of small buttons, one near her left eye, one on her right shoulder, and another button near the back of her neck. What does this mean? If I'm already here, I might as well figure out what this is. He found the buttons on her right shoulder and left eye and pressed both of them, and they seemed to glow light blue when pressed, sort of like with Funtime Freddy. But when he pressed the final button behind her neck, though, something very strange happened.

Her plastic plating began rearranging itself, seemingly expanding into something new. After a while, the fourth suit transformed into the regular version of Circus Baby. What the hell? Why is this even a feature? Wait, if this suit can transform into Baby's normal model, does that mean...that Baby can change into this fourth suit, all on her own? How? Why even make four different suits for the same robot if you're not even going to use them? And why do they look so...creepily human? There were many more questions running through his mind that he didn't know the answers to, but he immediately stopped when he heard the sound of footsteps coming somewhere from the Funtime Auditorium.

They didn't seem to be the footsteps of an animatronic, not loud of clanky, but rather that of a human. Shit, someone's here. He didn't know if whoever it was outside was friendly or not, or if it was the kidnapper from two nights ago, so he quickly closed all of the closet doors, and decided to hide inside of the third closet because he was pressed for time. Thankfully, it was not a moment too soon, because at the moment he hid inside, William could hear the sound of someone opening the door. He couldn't see who it was that opened it, but he could hear some footsteps getting closer to him. Then he could hear a man's voice, apparently talking to himself.

"Ugh, bloody hell. I need to get rid of those dead bodies before someone notices them. I don't even know who the hell could've killed him. I mean, mauling them is one thing, but I've never seen the robots hang someone here before. These bloody things are always causing more and more problems for me. Nevermind, I'll deal with it myself."

He didn't kill them? But if he didn't murder the technicians, then who did? And why?I swear I've heard that voice somewhere before, I just don't know where. Guess I'll need to wait for him to leave before I find out what's going on. If he's the one getting rid of the bodies, then he's definetely got something suspicious going on here. The space inside of the third closet was getting kind of cramped, and the teenage Baby suit wasn't helping with that issue. He could now hear the sound of some kind of weapon being loaded, possibly the silencer gun he saw in the desk before. Damn it, now he's armed.

After a little while longer, he could hear the man walk out of the room and close the door behind him. He decided to wait, just in case the man decided to come back. Looks like it's safe to come out now. As he tried to carefully open the closet door, he could feel something tightly tugging onto his left hand, before it let go. It was cold and smooth, and it felt like a human hand. Wait, did that suit just...touch me? He was sure that this suit was empty, but now he was getting a bit more skeptical.

What was weirdest of all was that he felt the suit grab his hand, not the other way around. He waited for a few moments to see if the suit would do anything else, but it didn't. Still being nervous, he opened the closet door and quickly closed it again. Now he needed to come up with some kind of plan in case this man tried to come after him.

Some of his worst fears were confirmed when he saw that the purple wool mask and the purple jacket were both missing, with the silencer gun missing from the drawer, too. Come on, I need to get a good weapon to defend myself with. He checked the desk for any weapons he could use, and his best options were the taser and the hunting knife. Well, I'll gladly take that over nothing. I need to make sure he doesn't spot me. Here goes nothing. Just need to figure out what is going on around here, avoid the man with the gun, and then get out of here as fast as possible.

William decided to wait a few minutes before finally leaving to think about his plan step by step before walking in. He didn't know whether the man would've gone to Ballora Gallery or Funtime Auditorium first to dispose of the dead technicians, but it was a chance William needed to take. He grabbed out his flashlight, turned it on, and walked out the door. Before he left, he also kept that picture of Elizabeth and Angelica with him, just in case. He gently closed the door behind him, and once entered back into the Funtime Auditorium.

It looks like he didn't need his flashlight, because the lighting seemed to be slightly dim now. This room is meant to be kept in complete darkness during the night. That man must've done something with this. He continued to walk through, checking the entire place with his flashlight for any signs of the man, or Baby, in case she caught on with his act and decided to go look for him herself. Luckily, there didn't seem to be anyone in here with him. However, as William checked the place again, he saw that where one of the dead technician's bodies was previously hanging before was gone, nowhere to be found, with the rope seemingly ripped off at the top.

How did he get rid of it so fast, William wondered. I swear I only waited a couple of minutes in there! I didn't think I was in there for that long! Or what if he just got the job done incredibly quickly? Whatever the case, he decided that it was probably best to get out of here while he still had the chance, so he made his way over to the Funtime employee exit. Wait, but Baby's still down here. I know she lied to me, but, I just can't abandon her like this. I'm not going anywhere near the scooper room, but I think I can at least try to help her.

As he was thinking about this, though, he saw that someone was already coming out of the vent-way from the primary control module. It was none other than the man in the purple mask, the same man who kidnapped William and stuffed him inside of a suit the other night. Only now he was wearing his sleezy purple jacket, and he didn't seem to be wearing his night vision goggles from two nights ago. William was just as surprised as the man.

"What the bloody hell?! How did you-"

The man didn't finish his sentence, as William could see that the masked man was reaching for his back pocket. He's using his gun, isn't he? William had to act fast, so he quickly dashed away and hid underneath the large tables before the masked man had time to shoot. BANG! BANG! Gunshots were now being fired, and luckily both missed William. Shit, now's he onto me!

The gunshots stopped, and he could now hear more footsteps getting closer to him. It looked like the man lost track of where William was, and for some reason, he tried reasoning with William.

"If you come out now, I might just let you live. Don't, and I'll shoot you where you stand."

The man's deep voice echoed through the auditorium, as William pulled out his taser, preparing to defend himself if the man got too close to him. Please, after what you did to me last night, don't expect me to surrender. The man was getting closer to William now, but both men were instantly distracted by a loud banging coming from the right end of the auditorium.

It sounded like the same banging from before, when Baby tried guiding him. The sound of someone violently banging on a door. William didn't know where this door in the right end of the room led, probably because it was reserved for some other employees or something. But as he took a slight peek behind him to make sure the masked man wasn't near him, he saw that the masked man lost all of his focus on him, and was now aiming his silencer at where the loud banging was coming from. What is he doing? Why is he focused on the banging, anyway? It didn't sound like too much of a threat from where he was hiding.

Until the right end door was broken down.

And with the sound of the broken door falling to the ground came an annoying and yet terrifying cackle of laughter. This laughter was shortly followed by the sound of mechanical whirring and footsteps, unmistakably that of an animatronic. William was still surprised that the masked man was just standing near him, his gun focused on whatever was coming out of that door. Then the man said the following words to William.

"I recognize that laugh."

William recognized it, too. Or at least how irritating it was to listen to this creepy laughter in particular. It reminded him of one animatronic in particular, the one that he probably hated the most. And then he saw the animatronic walk over the broken down door, still continuing its creepy laughter as it walked closer to them. Looks like I was right. It's Funtime Freddy.

What only made it creepier was that Funtime Freddy's face was completely spattered with blood. One of those dead technicians had their head covered in blood and strange bite marks on their forehead, if I remember. And I guess I now know who killed that guy. Funtime Freddy was walking around, similar to that killer from that one horror movie William watched that he was struggling to remember. What was his name again? I think it was Leatherface, or something like that. There was just something about how Funtime Freddy was walking towards them that reminded William of it.

Not only that, but he could see that Bon-Bon, still attached to Freddy's hand, was very badly damaged. Bon-Bon's metal plating was broken, with his face ripped off, wires coming out of his chest and part of his endoskeleton visible, as if he were banged against a wall a couple hundred times or so. Looks like the little guy just couldn't keep Funtime Freddy calm.

Then the bear slowly tilted its head towards William, and spoke to him in a hostile and devious tone.

"Oh, I remember you!"
