Chapter 13

"Sorry Feng, but I don't do dances. It's not because no one ever asked me, but because I never wanted to go." I shrugged my shoulders as I started to stand up and dust the grass off.

"You don't need to try so hard to get everyone's attention Laura!" Holly started yelling at me.

I roll my eyes at her and fold my arms, I have had enough of her princess attitude.

"I am sorry, what's your name again?" I ask in a serious tone, as if I really never heard her name before, because I have never actually talked to her or even acknowledged her.

That made her turn red, "Don't act as if you don't know me!" she screeched while all the guys started chuckling.

"Ohhhh I see, you must be confused and not remember your own name is that right? That must be the case since you can't even remember your manners and are hollering like a banshee."

Now she was beyond pissed and couldn't even speak and just stood there looking like a tomato.

Clapping to get out attention and intervene, our master officially started our lesson plan for the day. We all went to our assigned spots and I left banshee girl where she stood, rooted to her spot fuming.

We had already been training with those sticks for a while, so today was the day to put our skills we have been practicing to use.

Two lines formed opposite of each other and we spared against each other on the green field. A large white circle was drawn on the field to indicate the spot of where we would spar. Rules are anyone who gets knocked out of the circle is disqualified and the person still standing in the circle is the winner. Also if the person is knocked down for 10 seconds even within the circle and can't get up faster than the 10 seconds, the one standing is the winner.

I noticed Holly lined up on the opposite side of me and she did a quick count of how many people were in front of me. Assumingly because she wants to fight me, I sigh inwardly, how many times must I make it known I don't like Chen Feng?

As the line in front of me shortened, so did the time before my inevitable fight with Holly. I wasn't even the slightest nervous. I have watched her out of the corner of my eye in previous spars and she has a weak left side, I can definitely take advantage of that.

However, what Holly wasn't counting on was Feng's determination.

At the last moment, Feng cut Holly and walked up to the center of the small arena we had set up for sparring.

"How about this Laura, if I win you have to go to the dance with me?" Feng announces the bet for everyone to hear.

I look behind him and see Holly's jaw hanging open.

I smirk, "and what if you lose?"

Feng laughed but humored me "anything that you want, beautiful!"

I tap my chin in contemplation, "alright then, if I win then you can't ever ask me out every again and you have to stop following me around and creeping on me!"

Feng turned red "I don't creep!"

I wave my hand at him dismissively "Tomato, Tomoto" and strut up to him.

His 6 foot body towers over me as I put my hand out to shake on the bet. As I do this, seeing my height, Feng is reminded that since I am so short it makes me easier to take down.

We shake hands and as I try to pull away my hand he kisses the top of it with his creepy stalker lips.

I shiver and snatch my hand back as fast as possible.

I wipe my now disgusting hand on my black yoga pants then turn to our master.

"You heard that Master Han?!" I yell over to our master watching over our spars.

"Yes Xaio Laura! I heard!" Our master laughed out loud.

I head to my spot in the circle and wait for the signal for the spar to begin.
