Ungrateful

Arthur, with both Milena and Dagen tow, left the Returning Galaxy Auction House. They received a few curious glances from the numerous receptionists and workers of the Auction House, but none of the other customers even gave them a second glance.

They couldn't feel Arthur's cultivation, and Milena and Dagen were both vapour ruby origin essence Fae Masters. With an entourage like that, his strength couldn't of been much higher than the two standing beside him.

The moment they exited the Returning Galaxy Auction House-.

"What the hell Arthur!? You had origin essence sea expansion Fae and you didn't tell us!?".

Arthur could feel the anger and annoyance blooming within Milena's heart. Those origin essence sea expansion Fae could've been used by her and the others in order to push their potentials even higher than what they currently were.

In terms of origin essence sea size, they wouldn't lose out in any way to Arthur. And would in fact, exceed him slightly in terms of combat endurance.

Arthur glanced at Milena not at all seeming fazed by her emotions or words.

"Should I tell you of every single Fae in my possession, or just the ones that can benefit you then?".

His own tone was cold, and his gaze equally as freezing. Despite being together for so long, Milena couldn't help but divert her gaze away from Arthur, not daring to meet the slightly older male in the eyes.

There was no killing intent behind it, but Milena could've sworn that the temperature around her felt colder for a split second.

The anger that was burning inside her heart froze, before being reignited even hotter and brighter than before.

"That's not what I meant and you know it Arthur! With those Fae we could all become so much stronger! Our cultivations will start to stagnate due to our innate talents and reaching Rank 3 would at least take a decade or two with our current capabilities! If we had larger origin essence seas, then-".

"Milena. All of your Fae combined couldn't equate to a single Rank 4 origin essence sea expansion Fae. The prices of such Fae are fixed according to a market price, and currently costs upwards of more than a million origin essence stones. Rank 5 origin essence sea expansion Fae are never sold publicly. If you had a couple million origin essence stones, or something of equal value to myself, then I would without question exchange them both. Unfortunately, there is nothing in your possession that I have not given you, or seen before. Remember that the next time you try and demand something of me".

Arthur took a step forward, releasing his cultivation base in front of Milena.

Being a vapour topaz origin essence Fae Master, Arthur was an entire realm in terms of cultivation above Milena and Dagen. With his current combat strength, he would only need a few moves in order to annihilate the two completely.

And that was without using an Attribute Control Skill.

Milena took three steps back, avoiding Arthur's gaze.

A few passerby's noticed the Rank 3 Fae Master berating a Rank 2 Fae Master, before smiling wryly and shaking their heads.

Power was something that could bridge the gap between status or talent. But unfortunately, not everyone possessed the requirements to become strong.

The world of Fae Masters wasn't one that was filled with sunshine and roses. It was paved with the blood of billions, and was laid upon a foundation of bones and flesh. If one wanted something in this world, all they needed to be was strong enough in order to take it.

Arthur let out a cold snort before walking in another direction, leaving Dagen and Milena there in the streets all by themselves.

Milena clenched her fist and furrowed her brows.

She knew that she had lost the argument, but still, she couldn't help but feel slightly angry at Arthur for not telling them everything.

Dagen just let out a sigh.

"I know that you're angry Milena. Those origin essence sea expansion Fae are extremely valuable, and Arthur just gave them all away. But, and I am speaking from my own perspective on this but, Arthur taught me everything I know, in terms of fighting and Fae. He even showed me how to create a Blood Iron Nurturing Pools, and your Coffin Evolution Ritual. He didn't ask for anything then, and yet here you are now, upset that he didn't give you anything".

Milena glanced towards Dagen, her expression slightly twisted and her heart in her stomach.

She didn't have any response to that. Arthur had given them both, free of any charge.

And if it wasn't for him, she wouldn't of started to walk the path of Corpses. Arthur did inspire her, and pushed her in the right direction, towards where the apex lie. But now that she had seen something that could speed up her progression, instead of being polite, all she did was act ungrateful....

A feeling of guilt bubbled up within her.

The young woman scratched her head roughly, letting out a sigh before gazing off into the distance of the Corpse Shore replica.

She had suddenly been enlightened unto the apex of the path of Corpses, and instead of relying on her own strength and attainments, complained that she didn't have it placed in front of her, as if a child on their birthday.

The young woman let out another loud sigh, before turning towards Dagen, and raising an eyebrow.

"Want to get a drink?".

The two of them were more than just companions, they were the only family they all had. Even if the blood relation was more than distant, the fact that they all shared the same last name spoke louder than any action they could've taken.

Dagen paused for a moment before lifting his head up and pointing down the street.

"How about there?".

Milena nodded, and the pair headed towards the nearby tavern, unbeknownst to them, while they were being watched from afar.

Arthur smirked his face and posture transformed using Transformation Attributed Fae. His cultivation was being full-heartedly suppressed, using a Rank 3 Restriction Fae, which also managed to hide his right arm from Elder Raincloud and Lord Blood Mist.

How a Sovereign Boundary Physique wielder managed to transfigure their arm permanently would interest just about every knowledgeable Fae Master.

Most would think some sort of curse-type Attribute Control Skill, but would find that the transformation of blood, flesh, muscle and bone would be completely compatible with a human body.

Curse type Attribute Control Skills would usually negatively affect an individual over a long period of time, and were extremely difficult to remove.

But this transfigured ice arm.... it had to have been done by someone with an extremely high attainment in Ice Laws, Water Laws, Blood Laws, Bone Laws, Flesh Laws and possibly even Spirit Laws as well.

If one wasn't a complete and utter idiot, they would be able to count six Laws.

A Fae Master could only comprehend three Laws at any given point in time, even Fae Immortals were affected in similar ways by that restriction.

So there would be at least two Fae Immortals who had transformed Arthur's right arm. And they had willingly done so, to someone with a Sovereign Boundary Physique....

That would've just raised even more questions.

Walking down a narrow alleyway, Arthur's figure slowly merged into the shadows, as he walked through White Corpse City almost completely unhindered.

News that the Boundless Forest Yearning was in White Corpse City would soon be released, and he had to pay close attention, and remember to play his part well.

With the faint fluttering of his robes, he appeared more like a demon king, than a honourable human genius.
