35 : Heading Out
{ Felix's POV }
* I should probably rest now. *
I laid down at the bed and tried to sleep.
Someone opened the door and rushed through the cabinet.
" Wha- what the hell happened?! "
I asked.
" Someone just passed out. I don't know the details but it was a girl. "
A medic answered.
* What the fuck? *
I grabbed my crutches and went outside.
Some people went in to check on what's happening.
« Fuck, isn't that her? »
They were whispering.
* What the hell is happening... *
I saw Tobi looking too and called him.
" Hey, what is happening? "
I asked.
" That's Samantha! "
He answered.
" Wait what? What the hell happened? "
I asked him again.
" She started shaking and Shino called for help, she won't wake up. That's why they're trying to do everything they can. "
He explained.
" I see. We should help them too right? "
I suggested.
" No, we'll just cause trouble. Leave it to the pros. "
He replied.
" Let's just hope that she'll wake up. "
He added and tapped my back.
I saw Shila went outside the circle of people to rush to get some things.
" Hey, hey what happened? "
I asked her.
" Samantha probably had a nightmare or she's paralyzed. Probably both, I'm not so sure right now. "
She explained and went inside the medic room.
* Oh lord, what is happening. *
Then Raymond went towards us.
" We'll be heading out. Prepare and we'll go. "
He announced.
" Hey what? Can't you see what's happening? "
I asked him.
" I don't even give a fuck about her you know? Wake Chris up and if you can walk come with us. "
He said.
* This idiot is annoying. *
« Oi fella, wake up. »
Someone woke him up.
" Huh...? "
He yawned.
" Chris! Something happened to Samantha! "
I shouted.
" What? "
He looked beside him and saw Samantha laying at the ground.
" Woah woah Sam...Sam wake up! "
He grabbed and hugged her.
Shila went back with some meds and stuffs with her.
" Don't touch her. She's paralyzed. "
She explained.
" What do you mean? She's just sleeping with me right? "
He asked Shila.
" Yes but something happened and I got no clue about it. "
She answered.
They transferred Shila in a stretcher and went to the medical room.
Chris stood up then went to follow them.
" Woah woah, you can't. Follow me. "
Ramon blocked him and pointed at the office.
" Why? Samantha is in danger! "
He said.
" No one gives a fuck. Now go inside the office. "
Ramon said.
" Woah hey, he's worried about- "
I tried to calm them but Ramon went towards me and pushed me down.
" We don't need disabled people here. I don't care about them. "
Ramon said and grabbed and dragged Chris through the office.
* That fucking bastard... *
I stood up and went back to the medical room.
Shila was checking up on Samantha, I went near them.
" What happened to her? "
I asked her.
" Medical team thinks that she's in a comatose. But she's alright. "
She explained.
" Huh- what the fuck? How? "
I asked her in confusion.
" Well we're guessing that she wasn't feeling well these past days. "
She answered.
" I'll leave you alone for now. "
I said and went to my bed.
* Just what in the hell is happening. *
{ Shino's POV }
I went downstairs to get some fresh air and saw someone coming to my direction.
" Hey hey hey! "
Dustin greeted.
* Oh here we go again. *
" Too cold eh? "
He laughed and sat beside me.
" What do you want? "
I asked him.
" Nothing? I just wanna talk I guess. "
He replied.
" I got nothing to talk about. "
I said.
" Eh don't be like that man. We can be best friends you know? "
He tapped my back and smiled.
* I just don't feel comfortable around him. I'll probably fake it. *
" Alright, I just wanna go back home alright? Everyone needs our help, my friends needs us. Now Samantha's not feeling well and I hope that Felix recovers already. "
I vented out to him accidentally.
" Oh...I didn't know that. I'm sorry for annoying you. "
He said.
" No it's alright. "
I replied.
" Well I may just know what to do to make you forget about those stuffs. "
He smiled and stood up.
" And what is it? "
I asked him.
" There are rumors that you can witness a dog turning into a wolf when it's dawn. "
He explained.
I can't help but laugh.
" What the hell did I just heard? "
I kept laughing.
" Ah alright, let's make a bet then. "
He said.
" Alright alright, if that rumor isn't true, you'll give me that knife of yours. "
I replied.
" Okay, and if it's true, hand that glass to me. "
He said.
" Deal. "
I replied and stood up.
* Hmm, I should not lose because this thing is important to me. *
" Where are we heading though? "
I asked him.
" Just follow me, we'll sneak outside by going through the garage. "
He explained.
" Isn't this dangerous? "
I said.
" No, no. That location is clear, no infecteds. "
He said and we went to the garage.
We saw someone standing near the garage's door.
" Alright, there's a guard but we can get past him if we'll be silent. "
Dustin explained.
" Lead the way then. "
I whispered.
We slowly crawled near the door but the guard almost saw us.
" Shit....we need to distract him. "
He whispered.
" Leave it to me. "
I said and grabbed an empty bottle.
" Run outside when I threw it. "
I whispered.
* Let me just do this and...bingo! *
I aimed at the other side and threw it.
The guard went to check it and both of us ran outside.
" Yahoooo! "
Dustin shouted.
" Phew....we almost got caught you know? "
I said while catching my breath.
" But we didn't right? It's because of you! "
He laughed.
" You can say that. Anyways, where is it? "
I asked him.
" Right there. "
He pointed at the hill and we started to move.
" This'll be a long walk then. "
I said.
" Don't worry, you may own this special knife right? "
He said and I yawned.
" You're crazy, dragging me here at dawn. "
I whispered.
Few minutes of walking and we reached our destination.
" That's the longest walk I've ever had... "
I sat down to rest.
" Eh, you want to go back? We're already here though. "
He whispered and opened his bag.
He threw a bottle of water and I catched it.
" Thank you, I really need this. "
I said and chugged it.
" Now let's go. "
He said and I stood up.
We went inside and I saw a dog resting near us.
