Class 3-A

"Hey, excuse me."

The speaker was a high school girl. Short black hair and a cute face. In fact, he knew this girl.

"Ohh Lin Shen, good morning!" The girl greeted as she sat down next to him, the only available seat in the whole bus.

"Good morning." He nodded his head at her. They were classmates but he didn't know her that well. He only knew her name was Xie Ying.

"Yawn*...the mornings are so tiring." He could tell she was tired from the heaviness of her eyelids. It was as though her eyelids were a 10 pound weight.

Lin Shen really had to thank the mysterious app, otherwise he would be the same as her.

Xie Ying glanced at Lin Shen. To her, Lin Shen was a really quiet student, nonchalant even. He never spoke unless spoken to or had something urgent. He also didn't give much attention to people even if they were of a higher status..

He was...weird.

The events onwards were uneventful. Lin Shen didn't talk much and Xie Ying was really too tired to make a conversation. She took a short nap and woke up on her own as the train approached their destination.

"See you in class, Lin Shen." Xie Ying got off the train and headed for school.

Lin Shen sighed as he walked up towards the school. Another torturous day to pass.

He arrived in class 3-A and sat down on his seat in the middle of the class. It was slightly towards the window and the back, which was the least attention grabbing seat.

Class 3-A was located on the third floor and the closest to the stairs, thus the name. It didn't have any special meaning such as rankings or whatnot.

Xie Ying had already arrived in class and sat in her seat surrounded by her friends.

Lin Shen minded his own business as classmates talked to each other, to their friends, and to their groups. Honestly, he was a little jealous.

He was mindful enough to not meddle with them. Sure, he wouldn't mind joining them if they invited him, but he wouldn't go up to them on his own. That was just his personality. You could say he was a coward, since his confidence around others was low.

Lin Shen felt life was unfair. He was smart and talented, but how come those dumb classmates of mine have more friends then me?

It was like whoever created this world balanced humans. If you were rich, you were either dumb or a disappointment in some way. If you were poor, you were probably kind, selfish, or hardworking.

Look at those news articles about those famous people. Some were completely normal people in high school. The popular kids in their school turned out unsuccessful because they wasted time fooling around, except a select few.

But then again, Lin Shen also hated himself. He was such a coward. He had the smarts and talent, why did he have to be a nerd! People viewed him as a nerd because whenever they saw him, he was always studying, even though he spent most of his time relaxing.

The few meetings make up the image I present to others, while my true self is buried behind my cowardice.

Lin Shen took out his phone after glancing at the time. He had enough time to play around before the teacher arrived.

Turning on his phone, his obvious destination was the Rebirth App. Earlier he had forgotten to open the app on the train because of Xie Ying.

[Name: Dust ]

Talent: 6

Will: 50 / 100

Mental Capacity: 22 / 100

[Training]

He decided to finish the quest to see what the end result would be. It did say he would be able to solve problems quicker if he were to finish the quest.

Tapping on training, the only option popped up.

[Training - Mental Capacity]

He opened it up and the familiar game appeared. Nothing changed except the number in the orb to indicate how many drops collected was zero.

An ordinary drop appeared, he tapped towards it and obtained a +1, changing the number in the orb to 1. At the same time, a fresh feeling spread through his mind.

It was like when you inhaled the scent of mint at full power. It would be so chilling yet so tasty.

Lin Shen thought of something. If the Rebirth App could affect him in real life, would it be able to affect his confidence? If it could then the "Will" feature probably had something to do with it.

If he could increase his confidence through this app, he would be able to make friends, would he not?

I anticipate the day I unlock that training. Lin Shen smiled.

With newfound determination, Lin Shen constantly tapped on his phone, trying his best to complete the mission.

"Ring! Ring! Ring!" Three bells rang to indicate the start of class.

Clack. Clack.

Sounds of footsteps rang as the door opened, revealing the home room teacher of class 3-A.

She was a young woman in her twenties, and had a very stern face. Her hair laid in a soft bun atop her head. Her delicate face with the sternness of a teacher. She was very exotic. That was Lin Shen's opinion of her. Her name was Zhao Lin, and students called her Miss Zhao.

She put the papers in her hands down and looked towards the class.

"Alright class. Today, classes will be very short in order for you to prepare for your exams. The grades you get on the exams are the grades that will determine which university will accept you." Miss Zhao stated.

"I expect all you to be studying and preparing for the exams using the short classes."

Zhao Lin had very high expectations of her class since most of the talents were gathered here.

As a teacher, having the smartest students in her class was the greatest pride she had. She had Yu Lin, the smartest student in school and also the class president of the class. Yu Lin was renowned for her beauty and intellect. She was the most beautiful girl in school and the smartest student. She had especially high expectations for Yu Lin.

Then there was also Lin Shen, the second smartest of the whole school. That kid was quiet but hardworking, always studying whenever possible. She only had good opinions about him as he had never done anything to upset her or the class.

While Zhao Lin was deep in her thoughts, she happened to catch a glance at Lin Shen.

The scene she saw made her twitch a brow...
